I only meant when I saw them live a few weeks back they reminded me of the Killers, if I had to decide they sounded like anyone at the time. They were really great live and have quickly become one of my faves. I'm in my 40's and love many styles of music. The Parlotones have brought so much to music, returned the creativity to music video, and are just an all-around brilliant musical piece :)

I barely discovered this band just over a week ago before seeing them with Blue October. They were amazing live. They had class and style, something you don't see a lot of these days, and were just breathtaking. Live, they reminded me a lot of The Killers (sorry to compare). Now, after watching their videos and listening to their songs over and over again, I put them up on a pedastal with the songwriting abilities of bands like Crowded House. Intelligence and talent all wrapped up in one!

Both The Parlotones and Blue October are good. No band is truly a "has been." It all depends on their songs. If they come out with something good, they'll be popular. Blue October is still thriving, and its nice to see The Parlotones, are starting to become more known as well considering they aren't new either...being active since 1998.
