The Last Remnant - Boss 13 "Mr. Young" (P03/07)

After getting wiped out by this dickhead twice in a row, I came online to do some research and I just figured something out. If Young is locked onto a union through Deadlock or Raidlock he WILL use Brawl that turn. Now I'm gonna try just focusing on his troops first and then fight him one union at a time, reviving and healing as I go.

I have way better stats than this guy, ( no offence) but I can't beat this douche, I have like 3000 HP for 4 unions and he kills them all with brawl. I give up unless someone has a great strat. I will try the one in the video first though.

I wonder if you don't do the sidequests of the Seven, would they be weaker? I mean each gives you a "special item" upon completing their quest.

will need to start another playthru to check that.

Also i remember that i missed a quest in the beggining of the game, i forgot to talk to Alex (dead guy in woods) when he was alive to rescue his sister in the basement of the castle. That area will never open up to me now, so i think Last Remnant will only open areas once you speak to certain people at certain points in the game. Hence the secret caves on the world map can be found once you speak to certain people and progress in the game. Hope this helps, i think you may have missed it dude :(

Brawl didn't actually kill me that much. I only got ko'ed 1 out of every 5 times he used it. I think it's depending on your stats and where you train. I grinded on the first path in siebenbur for a few days then I went to face him. If your HP is high enough and you got fairly decent stat growths, you'll live through the Brawls.

A good place to train is Numor Mines, take the first door on the right, take the lift down, and head to the extraction area. There should be some NidNoggs running about. They give tonnes of exp., if you get your rank to 78 thier weapons will change shape. Also have Irina in your party, her extensive healing is needed. Also when your team amtes ask for items just reply yes and level them up, they will change their gear. You dont really need the items in all honesty. Dont ask why lol.

When does that happen? I went there and I didn't encounter any Nidhoggs. Is it because I was still in Disc 1? I'm in Disc 2 now, hopefully they spawn because my units really need better arts.

Or is it related to BR?

i believe it is in disc 2, you have to get to the lower levels, once done you'll see them, there is a GUILD challenge for defeating 10 i believe. That is how i did, or go to online and type "numor mines nidhogg locations"

Ah man, i think i know why. I was playing it again to check, and i remember, In Numor Mines, you need to gain access to the LARGE SCALE MINING ZONE. I think the only way to do this, is after every base battle talk to Duke Ghor, because after the base battles the duke has a quest for you which involves the Large Scal mining Zone. Once you have done it, the Duke Becomes a employable character. So uless you have done this, i think that is why it hasnt unlocked...Read other comment as well dude.

Just to let you guys know, when Mr Young casts "BRAWL", he hits everyone who is in Deadlock and Multideadlock. Also Mr Young is the only character capable of attacking anyone he wants without causing deadlock to himself.

So be careful, first thing to do is make sure you have healing items maxed. Then take out the mages quickly, send the strong units to handle young, and the rest on the mages. Keep healing your parties above 80% health and you should do it.

The Young battle pretty much requires luck. David fucked up the Gae Bolg twice on opening, and twice I failed to kill a unit that had about 10 Health left, and the healers fixed that problem for them. After that, I might as well have reset.

I'm tempted to snap the damn game in half because its so annoying that I have to fight the battle before it again. I'll use the shards to decorate my coffee table.

Only went through 3 base (1st,2nd and 5th)

I though the 1st one was cheap with that boss killing my whole squad in 2 turns = =

2nd one was probably the easiest

But THIS, Mr.Young is like.... hella cheap. I thought it was going to be easy because I managed to cast blackout on the first turn. Eventually, I can only delay my death for about 10 turns (1 deadlock 1 revive spam) and got killed by his cheap brawl = =

It's somewhat different yet manage to retain some Final Fantasy element within but the gameplay is very different, just think of this as a war version of Final Fantasy, that's basically how I think the gameplay is.

...your special moves will kick in Heavens Door (Baulson) for me does 130k hp attack if the target does not die then Torgai will abuse (Lughs Revenge) another 100k hp loss will occur and the boss can kiss his ass goodbye.If you find this boss to be above your capabilities simply stay away power up more because this pansee is nothing compared to the ones that will follow him let alone the DLC bosses name Jhana Royal n Secret Cyclops in Avecliffe if you fancy being Gae Bolged EVERY round fight him

First bit of advice to Achilles would be to power up then if your struggling at BR 91 on this fight steer clear of DLC enemies they will own you time after time and have you weeping into your morning bowl of kellogs crispies.

For those not inclined to whine like a bitch about taking damages equal to what your dealing.Best advice would be to create one union as a tank (ie best fighters for me its Baulson,Blocter etc) dedicate another to healing primarily name Pagus if your half decent......

WHAT IS THE FUCKING HELL you hit like crap and yet you can kill those mage and other guy super easy i hit those mage for 30k each turn and i cant kill em

And there doing crap damage to you those random warrior hit me for 400-700

And the boss normal hit me for 1000-1400

And the mage with those AOE spell hit me for 1000-1400 each spell

And his special skill Brawls hit me for 3600-4000

And hes doing it each turn so i am so confused right now WTF anyone can tell me what the hell is going on
