  • @tollington14 - My Brother-in-Law is Guyanese. He, my sister and my wife (who did VSO in Guyana) have been nagging me for almost 40 years to visit Guyana.

Do you think that the sort of area you are going on about would attract Tourists - and the money they are likely to spend?

Or do you think they might be attracted by this sort of video?

If you really think "not this crap with the jungles" then you very obviously do not love your own country!

Or is it yourself you don't love?

  • @jayprimacy What!? Don't love myself? Don't love my own country? I'm Canadian and I love Canada! As for Guyana, I think it has much to offer and I would go there again in a second!

  • @tameshk1 Listen, I spent much of my time traveling the interior. If you would like to do a documentary of your own country, then do so. I was on a family trip and flew into the interior and didn't spend all that much time in Georgetown. What little I did spend, I showed in the video. Instead of talking shit about my video, go out and create your own video if you don't like it and get what I didn't get. I actually got a pretty good cross section of country if you ask me...

  • @razondacar10 I'm glad you saw it my way. I didn't know I was doing Guyana such a dis-service by posting this video!!! ;)

  • @tollington14 this is wierd, i dont remember dissing your video, infact i came to take a look at it again. I am pretty sure i commented saying that the ministry of tourism should use your video because it was soo good!. Either way i am glad of the fact that you made this video, your camerawork is good. I enjoy studying the rainforest and the earth as a whole but the natural landscape in guyana is beautiful and inspiring.I reopened my account to clear the air. Awesome video btw :)

  • @razondacar1 This is weird, I said "I'm glad you saw it my way. I didn't know I was doing Guyana such a dis-service by posting this video!!!" That isn't a bad comment made towards you. I was agreeing with you. You may have read one of the other comments I was making towards someone else perhaps???

  • @tollington14 Ooh crap my bad, i interpreted your comment the wrong way, no hard feelings eh. Very inspiring view of the landscape though :). Thanks for the video again.

  • Its funny how they don't show the real Guyana, anyone who is from Guyana would know the real Guyana not this crap with the jungles.

  • @tameshk1 Have you even been to the interior of Guyana???

  • @tollington14 I grew up there, what do you think?

  • @tameshk1 I think you don't like your own country! You should be more proud of it. The video isn't supposed to depict the entire country for what its worth. I only spent 3 weeks of my life there. What do want from me? It was a personal vacation that I spent with family and friends! If someone came to my country and showed the better half, I sure wouldn't complain!!!

  • @tollington14 That wasn't the better part. The better parts are where people are located, showing the culture.

  • @TEXASNYC Thank you!

  • @TEXASNYC When I watch this video a year and a half later I think it is all about family. It doesn't matter where you live in this world we live in, it is about family and who we have around us that matter...that's all we have to take to our grave...

  • Love the video. I lived in Guyana but never got the chance to do much traveling. Much excited to go back. More people like the person that uploaded this video need to post their videos to help portray Guyana in a better light. Good Job!!!

  • As a kid growing up in GUYANA we dident even knew what we had. It,s so nice to see the beauty from the eyes or lens of a foreigner.( For the video everything fits perfect .The scenes the movements the music and most of all the smiling faces of the Guyanese people) THANKS AGAIN_________________M:N

  • the best part of the video was the little girl in the end w. the chicken...she is priceless

  • Yes, she was sooooo cute! She's my girlfriends second cousin! I made sure to focus on her since she was so cute. I can't wait for her to some day see this video when she grows up.

  • @gparies I agree! It is always the cute little girl that takes the scene. Just like my little niece, Sage.

  • I'm going there in two months! This was a great snapshot of the country! Thank you so much

  • No problem. The country is a representation of a beautiful part of the world that should be kept exactly the way it is now...untouched!

  • @tollington14 You're absolutely right! Even if I get bitten by a THOUSAND tiny mosquitoes I think it'll be worth it to not see a place so overdeveloped.

  • I am a born Guyanese living since 25 years in Germany. This video makes me cry....You,ve done a wonderful job.THANK YOU-----------------------------

  • Thank you. I was only portraying what I saw. The country is as beautiful as I saw it, and hopefully people can see it for what it has to offer...It is truly a place of beauty!

  • @mosesnolte I felt the same too, not sure where the water came from but my eyes won't stop........I guess I miss home

  • Really liked your video. I left Guyana with my family more than 30 years ago and it was a pleasure to see how beautiful it still is. Thanks for posting.
