  • @Valamist I understand your point, but really it's just a marketing scheme, which unfortunately unrealistically impacts some of their games, for example - In Mass Effect 3, Commander Shepard can suddenly become gay, which really makes no sense whatsoever. You don't just '"romance" the females and then suddenly take it in a different hole.

  • @gdsm93 its cause people like me joked that you could fuck anything so long as they were of opposite sex, which imo is completely stupid (asari ok fair enough, but quarian, drell, turian is a bit much) which just made us joke that Bioware were homophobic, and instead of them laughing at it, they shat themselves and have implemented it into all games.

asari's dont count as lesbian imo as they actually go into the explanation of the species\culture.

  • I saw Felicia Day <3

  • LIARA!!!! yay

  • Whenever I see Ali Hillis, I always think she's actively trying to stifle some bipolar outburst. Like, she's just waiting for someone to screw with her before she rips their face off.

  • It's also great to see support for Femshep, my favourite Bioware character. Jennifer Hale dominates the role, I can’t imagine playing a Mass Effect game as a male again.

  • I like how Bioware has been adding same sex relationships in to their games for a long while. I think it first started in Jade Empire, with a male being able to romance Sky and a female romancing Silk Fox. Thinking about it, I think there was meant to be a lesbian romance in ST: KotoR but that was cut in the end. Some may say that it’s done just to get players, and even if that is true, it’s great to see that they are tackling homosexuality sensitively and wonderfully.

  • You can't spell Shepard without "she".

  • title is misleading

  • Ali...was in FF13....O.O No....no no no...

    Darth Vader: NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • neither have ever played any of the games

  • @deelennondee They're to busy making helping make them.

  • "I go both ways." ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Mass Erection.

  • I wish I had gone to the last ComicCon in Seattle. I would have met Jennifer Hale and done a Wayne and Garth thing: "I'm not worthy!"

  • wtf is wrong with the camera

  • *sees ali spin around*

    "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYUM GUURL"

  • I love the way Jenifer Hale laughs lmao

  • I mean I wont ever see characters dubbed by her the same way...

  • oh damn she did surgery...

  • 1:50 = FTW!!! =-D

  • fem shep is hilarious when you make her a bitch.

  • Jennifer Hale is the voice of Cinderella in Cinderella 3

  • How could she forget about voicing Cortana?

  • @knives4cash (BUZZER!) Wrong.

That's Jen Taylor... not Jennifer Hale OR Ali Hillis.

  • @JayIceColdD Seriously?

  • @knives4cash check IMDB. I'd post the link, but it's not letting me.

  • They both look so fine

  • shoutout to Femshep, the most badass spectre in the galaxy

  • Hold on, Hale is going to voice a character in TOR? yay!

  • @AzshLovesMR Yep. She voices Bastila's descendant as well as the Female Trooper player character.

  • Bastila :>

  • It's funny she says that because, honestly, I really do think Ali goes both ways irl.

  • Now why can't Hale use that sexy voice when voicing Femshep?

  • No offence, but Jennifer was a horrible choice for Female Shepard ):

  • @mujuma You're retarded.

  • @Anarchist86ed how come? because I hold an opinion that doesn't suit yours? owch, ignorance.

Her voice was horrid in the game, I never played Female Shepard due to it. She showed more emotion than Male Shepard, but she sounded so bored and out of place.

Merely my opinion, your free to disagree, but without the name-calling :)

  • @mujuma Fuck you Mujuma. You dirty dirty Jew. :)

  • @junnybungle ):< your the jew.

  • @mujuma No offense, but you're a moron.

  • @OmegaWeaponX2 Non taken, we're all entitled to an opinion.

And if it was directed to my comment to JunnyBungle, he's my mate.

  • @mujuma Hey, what you do with your homosexuality is none of my business.

  • @OmegaWeaponX2 Lmfao, you got me there... Wanna fuck?

  • @mujuma I don't agree.

I think in ME1 she was FAR better than Mark Meer on the voice acting. I can't think of a female voice actor off the top of my head who could've done FemShep any better. The only person who remotely comes close to me is Michelle Rodriguez, but I think she might've been a little too rough around the edges. Hale was perfect, IMO, because she runs the range of emotions you needs in a character diverse as Commander Shepard HAS to be.

  • @JayIceColdD I can respect that, but that's your opinion... She's a good voice-actor, especially in MGS 4, but I couldn't stand her voice in Mass Effect...

She sounded bored to death the majority of the time, though I do agree she displayed more emotion in certain scenes than Mark.

Mark will always be Shepard too me though, Female Shepard is just there for Female players. I'm not sexist, its just my view.

  • @mujuma What you said wasn't really sexist but the words 'I'm not sexist, it's just my view' are stupid. Just because something is a 'view' doesn't make it un-sexist. That would be like someone saying 'Girls are only good for cleaning. Not sexist, just my view' I know guys who play as Femshep, it's not something they implemented as appeasement to the female player. I think it's also awesome that they have a female lead who's strong and competent without being purely about tits and asses.

  • @Dancinglemon you must of taken in what I said differently.

I stated such a comment to mean I didn't intend any offence or that I was trying to be sexist in any way, which I assumed it would come off as and it has.

    Each to their own though.

  • @mujuma mm? Oh, no I'm not offended or anything, everyones got views on stuff and I respect that. I couldn't care less who likes what Shepard. Just pointing out that the statement 'not sexist/not rasist/not whatever, just my opinion' is redundent. I've heard it many times before with said statement is usually followed by something derogative or insulting. Most people hide behind the 'opinion barrier': 'Your mums a whore but it's my opinion so you can't hate me for it.' type thing.

  • @Dancinglemon ah, I understand what you mean now and what I said wasn't the best thing to get an opinion across.

I've got a lot of respect for Women, what I said kind of contradicts that.

And thankyou for at least not going overboard about it, I'm not used to dealing with people that actually have manners.

  • @mujuma It's cool. I don't usually make a deal out of anything like this, it's just that one statement that always manages to get me though haha! But I know you didn't mean anything by it. And, hey, you're perfectly reasonable about it too which, I agree, it's a rare thing, especially on youtube! So thanks to you too :)

  • @mujuma I don´t think femShep is just there "for the female players". I´m a girl myself and have played as both a male and femShep. And I know several guys who did the same, so I don´t really think you can just put it in boxes like that..

  • @Nekhet Sorry if I offended with that comment, wasn't exactly thinking too much when typing it.

I've done 2 playthroughs as Female Shepard, I still prefer playing as the Male (not based on sex, but voice-acting and appearance).

Jennifer Hale is a better voice-actor than Mark Meer, from what I've heard, but in Mass Effect her voice just didn't sound fitting.

  • @mujuma Don´t worry, I´m not offended at all, and I can´t see why anyone else should be. I was only pointing out that femshep isn´t only for female players and maleshep for the male. Although I do think that most guys play as maleShep (at least on their first playthrough) and most girls/women play as femShep.

  • @mujuma About Meer and Hales voiceacting: I can´t really decide who is the better of the two, cause they both have their strengths and flaws. In my case I like Meer for his ability to make maleShep sound like, not just a commander but THE commander the hero who is going to save us all (hopefully).

  • @mujuma And Hale I like for her ability to make femShep be like this hardcore chick that takes no shit from anyone but still, at the same time, care for the people around her. Oh! And she is really good at being flirty almost sultry too;D

  • @Nekhet I agree.

Marks voice fits perfectly for Shepard, in my opinion, it sounds commanding.

He lacks the emotion Jennifer can display in certain parts, like Tali's trial and the romance scenes, though I prefer his normal tone a lot more than Jennifer's "I'm so bored I don't want to be here".

I wish she used her MGS4 Naomi voice, that was really good.

  • @mujuma LOL:D yeah, she does sound like that in some parts. Like: "Yes, Mordin tell me aaaaall about your time in STG and your work with the... zzzzzzzzzzz..."

  • dear god Jennifer Hale is tall! She was hunching slightly to speak into the mike! She's an Amazon!

  • I Love Jennifer Hale! Bastila is still my best romance option in gaming to date. Just hearing her speak is enough to take me... eh.. well.. be happy. She is doing her descendent in Star Wars: the Old Republic!! Gotta be a Jedi!

  • omg its light and fang

  • I love jennifer hale

  • @poopybooyah am i pretty? :$

  • @mohdban of course your pretty :)

  • lol wasn't the other fang LOL

  • I'd tap that ass.

  • @Th3r4piST which one?

  • the best phoenix voice in the world!

  • omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg. Felicia Day + the voice actor for Liara. I just popped a MASSIVE nerd boner

  • they are hot :)

  • Geez Lightning is fucking hawt

  • Holy shit that's Felicia Day at 0:16 !

  • @albynoman Mmm...Felica Day (I love The Guild, but her horny fairy in The Legend of Neil was hilarious)

  • nice info on KOTOR from Lucas!!!

  • Is it me...or just wishfull thinking...or does Jennifer seem like the cougar type that would jump on ali in a heart beat....lol

  • I shit myself when i found out Jennifer Hale plays Tira in Soul Caliber O__O She is EXTREMELY versatile

  • Jennifer Hale didn't mention that she was in Metroid Prime...

  • Some voices just don't fit the person in real life...

  • hotness

  • Technically its not 2 girls makeing out. Its a girl and an "it" making out. the "it" just happens to sort of look like a girl.

  • @awilliams1701 If they have breasts and female voice actors I think it's safe to refer to Asari as "she." lol

  • @YorkJonhson i wasn't complaining. in fact the only race i find more attractive than the asari are the draenei. unfortunately blizzard has gone down hill and i don't pay for wow anymore so no more draenei for me.

  • @awilliams1701 actually, the entire Asari species is stated to be female, so it is two girls.

  • @Arris3 *Hem*, Monogendered. Which means they aren't female, because there is no opposing gender. They are no gender.

  • @Sareth740 Except that mono means one or single, hence being single gendered. They are not no gender, they are single gendered. The single gender that they are, is female. Deal with it.

  • @Arris3 they're monogendered. so you cant really say they're female or male even though they have human female features.

  • @chris200830 Additionally, in the codex IN THE GAME it specifies that asari are an all female race. Also in the Galactic Codex: Essentials Edition 2183 (from the Mass Effect Collectors Edition) it says that they are all sexually female. When Liara says male and female have no meaning to asari, she is referring to the social gender constructs of human society, not to physical sex.

  • @chris200830 Now... would you like a napkin with that serving?

  • @Arris3 yes please

  • @chris200830 Sorry, I'm not usually that much of a jerk, but I'm getting sick of people arguing with canon for no good reason. On that note however *hands you a nice silk Superman napkin*

  • @Arris3 it was my fault for commenting without check the sources one more time. i havent played ME in a while and last time i read the codex was 2 or more years ago. i forgot what about what the codex said and remembered only liara's words. well, thanks for setting me straight then.

  • Jennifer Hale rocks!

  • I love jennifer hale......... did you know that shes from canada... lol im from canada toooo lol

  • Hawt!

  • Alli turns me on like a X-MASS TREE!

  • Felicia stupid fucking morron day

  • Even Jennifer Hale said "a new Knights of the old Republic". Unfortunately it's just called The Old Republic, not KOTOR 3. Just to bitch about that once again. Not that I'm bitter.

  • wow! i had no idea that ali hillis plays liara!!

  • Wow, those two are hilarious.

  • Both great VA's And very pretty as well. Jennifer looks like she could beat your ass too just like renegade shep.

  • 0:17 - Look, it's Felicia Day!

  • MILFs come and get em before they sagging

  • LIGHNING!!!!!!!!!!11

  • 132 -135 That GLINT IN ALI'S eye and mischievous smile. Very attractive..

  • yes, there it is. i knew there was some kind of reason i always romanced liara.

  • This is so frickin hot, and I don't know if it should be

  • Lightning!!!!! She's awesome.

Jennifer Hale is amazing... Bastila, Shepard.... awesomeness.

  • Im commander shepard, and this is my favorite voice actor on the citadel

  • Dat Bastila voice...

  • Ali's dress was really nice.

  • I know Jennifer Hale is epically multitalented in the voice department, but I hope at least one of her roles in the new KOTOR MMO is Bastila, like as a hologram or something.

  • Ali Hillis is mutha fucking hot, and Jennifer Hale is mutha fucking cool.

  • @rishino When she was working for Bioware on KOTOR she was mutha fuckin hot too,But hey id still do that cougar!

  • I was hoping Jennifer Hale would be a voice in eh new Star Wars: The Old Republic game. I'm assuming that's what she meant. She said, "Knights of the Old Republic" but I'm pretty sure she meant the upcoming MMO. I'm not even a MMO fan but I'm a huge original Star "Han Shot First" Wars fan and Jennifer is epic as Commander Shepard.

  • @Yakko77 She meant Knights of the Old Republic. She played the character "Bastila" in there but will also play the female trooper in the upcoming SW:TOR.

  • @VidarKelvani Yeah, I remember her as Bastila (KOTOR was epic, the whole reason I bought and xbox) and her work as female Shepard in Mass Effect is awesome (initially the only reason I bought a xbox360, LOL!) but I didn't know she was going to play as a trooper. I thought that was her voice as Satele Shan in the 2011 E3 "Arrival" trailer over Koriban (also in the "Hope" trailer on Alderaan). Though I have my sights set on playing a smuggler I may have to play the trooper just for Hale then!

  • @Yakko77

Maybe, but I guess the female Smuggler will have a pretty good voice as well! I'm planning on playing a smuggler. I can't wait for this game!! I'm going to upgrade my internet to a fiber line and buy a new computer just for SWTOR :D

  • @Yakko77

When she said Knights of the Old Republic, she meant the very first game, since she played Bastila.

But, the second time she mentioned it, I'm pretty sure she was talking about The Old Republic. So, hopefully, she'll play someone in that :D

  • Liara :3

  • @JediNg135 damn right^^

  • Ali Hillis is hella hot. holy crap.

  • the mass effect voice actresses are so freakin hottt!!!!

  • Commander sheperdddddddddddd and tali :DDDD

  • well hey i go both ways!!! dies from happiness!!

  • @bellatitus

    hhahah me2 buddy, me2

  • Ahem. A NEW knights of the old republic?

I don't know if Hale slipped up KotOR 3, because the old republic isn't KotOR, And it wasn't technically a new game in december, AND Bastila is probably dead 300 years after KotOR 2...

Or you know, that may be looking too much into it, and Hale just doesn't know what game she is doing.

    Cheers;

    Niker

  • @Niker117

She is the voice of female trooper player in MMO SW: Old Republic.

  • @Niker117 Yeah I think you're over thinking it. LOL. :)

  • @Niker117

    She means the MMO.

  • lovin that l'cie tattoo! i want one

  • does Ali Hillis have a L'cie tattoo! How ridiculously sexy and nerdy of her

  • This has what to do with video games again? Fuck Spike TV.

  • @nljuggalo Two prominent videgame voices? That has nothing to do with video games?

  • They should give players a chance for a more serious homosexual relationship with either male or female in Mass Effect 3.

  • *down* not sown

  • @FellFather sown boy, she's married. :B

  • Ali Hillis... I so would

  • giggity :D

  • I love how Ali Hillis looks like lightning, and how Jennifer Hale kind of looks like Fang, thumbs up!

  • Ali hillis does not have a attitude she is actually pretty nice :l

  • @JoKer3o3

    Exactly. She is cool. :)

  • in spite of her attitude, I would SO do Ali Hillis!

  • ali hillis does look like lightning a bit and jennifer hale looks like fang lol

  • i freaking thought it was lightning and fang lol

  • @AuzzieJoey So did I

  • Jennifer Hale is awesome

  • @titatovenaar76 YEAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ali Hillis was ok until I watched this video. She has an attitude and I don't like it.

  • Ali Hillis sounds nothing like Liara in person... Jennifer Hale on the other hand sounds the same in all her characters: Shepard, Bastila, that... person in MGS...

  • I'm surprised that Jennifer didn't win the award, but Tricia did do a good job as EDI( is that the character she won it off of?).

  • @TheatreNerd100 I agree with you, but as it turns out, she won it for being Sarah Kerrigan in Starcraft 2. Both are great games and great roles, but I personally thought EDI was more interesting.

  • sexy girls :)

  • Wow. Neither of them sound like their characters.

  • I wonder what role Hale will have in TOR. Can't help thinking something along the lines of that Consular we saw fighting in the Alderaan trailer, but maybe that's just because the character reminds me visually of Bastila.

  • @AsuranKnight Jen is female Trooper in TOR

  • @Dromedarr I know. Hope she'll do Satele too, though, since her Shepard voice (used for Trooper) is very different from her Bastila voice.

  • Jennifer Hale is hot, I love them girls.

  • @xLuiKangx007 nononono. Too old for my taste

  • @ebront You're funny

  • don't call that shit gay... call that "make out" crap STRAIGHT BULL!
