whats funny is, i read were he said the reason they aint hittin is cuz the dudes at the shop ran the subs parallel so his amp was seein a 4ohm load... that may be true but that means pro's actually installed that system!! i be damned if i spent money on that install! my 1st install when i was 17 looked better than that shit.
At least you got room for 4 subs. I got a 09 kia rio 5 with 3 10" kicker comps in it with a 2000 watt mono block amp. it hits hard but i want more and dont have th room to do it.

peak for those is 1500, rms is around 700.. so for 4 of those.... you should get a 6000 watt amp or 2 300 watt amps. and like @evans1090 said, Hifonics amps are where its at.

i got 2 MA Audio 15s on a MTX Thunder Elite 1501d runni 1 ohm beatin way harder that this is quantum is junk kicker is dead MA is dead too but my two 15s were like 125 bucks new and im hittin around 146 dB thats cuz the the amp is a BEAST.
you need to let the bubs breath so they would sond better and flip them arround so the sound could go in to the cab and not seal it in the trunk try to invest in a new box the would let air go in for more clear bass

@ArpeggioFelatio any amp that is cea-compliant is really only compliant at 4-ohms. that's all they are supposed to test is at 4 ohms so that doesn't mean anything. I guarantee they do rated power at least... I haven't heard the 1200 but i bet its a lot better than that 4000W quantum. lol. I have the 1700 and the 2400 is what i use now and it is definately a lot louder and better than the 1700...
Dude...not to be disrespectful, but that amp sucks...it's definately not the best bang for the buck...the subs are awesome, but you need to get a lot better amp to even think about them being good....look into the new Hifonics Brutus series amps, they're CEA-Compliant and do rated power if your on a budget at least get that....not the crappy Quantum...they suck as you can see

Sealed can sound great. Smaller the box sealed, more power handling. Bigger? Better sound quality. Problem is, even the cvx manual says it, to get the most out of them- they need to be ported! Cvxs really love oversized boxes too. But I doubt it was fully the box in this scenario. Have you got 2 different amps hooked up? Or just 1 doing all of them wired in series?
i think the reasons why that subwoofer box sounded LIKE crap and i am sure we all can agree that for One the reasons why it sounds weak is because HIS subwoofer inclosure MDF is too thin,TWO That amp he was pushing was extremely weak and it washaving a hard tim pushing all four of them subswhich interns gave it a FLAT BASS Sound that capacitor wasnot even on to do its job..... Ha ha this sound system sucks dick my first sound system a was a single 10 in a ported box with a small amp and it sounded way better it moved so much air and it rattled everything. I hope yo got this for free because it is fuckin wack lol

Sealed can sound great. Smaller the box sealed, more power handling. Bigger? Better sound quality. Problem is, even the cvx manual says it, to get the most out of them- they need to be ported! Cvxs really love oversized boxes too. But I doubt it was fully the box in this scenario. Have you got 2 different amps hooked up? Or just 1 doing all of them wired in series?

i think the reasons why that subwoofer box sounded LIKE crap and i am sure we all can agree that for One the reasons why it sounds weak is because HIS subwoofer inclosure MDF is too thin,TWO That amp he was pushing was extremely weak and it washaving a hard tim pushing all four of them subswhich interns gave it a FLAT BASS Sound that capacitor wasnot even on to do its job..... POOR SET UP>>>>>VVVVVVVVV.........................

@Louisianamixtapeking Now those are high quality amps, and so much better then that walmart shit. Running both subs at their peak isn't good though. Especially since kicker amps are underrated, and that 1500w amp is probably putting more like 1600, or 1700watts out. Thats really going to lower the life of those sweet subs.
