  • The Germans were great soldiers it a pity they had hitler

  • ey bin so lieb

  • i swear thats bear grylles that gets crushed at 7:28

  • @awesomepwn12 i thought so too

  • @rhyscw01 agree

  • nice tags you greedy fuck. let the quality of your work get you views not bs tags. 9/11 my ass

  • @BigMekkk i agree with the fact that the producers over dramatized it as everyone does with every film. a Sherman on it own aganist any of the German Tank destroyers would have been blown to smithereens. But as a group if they were lucky, well coordinated timed it right, they could destroy the mighty tiger if all the shots were penertation on the weaker side and rear armour.

but the changes of that, about one in ten

  • way better than the pacific

  • 7:29 for nazi marmelade OUCH!

  • @andraken one hell of a way to go

  • @andraken dude show some respect

  • @thatcooldude902 it's a movie!

  • @andraken based on a real event.

but i gues you are right that surely didnt happend

  • @thatcooldude902 yeah, and this is internet, based on funny events. So don't bother me.

  • The quality of this is creepy good...

  • Fucking bullshit

No way an american shitty sherman tank could have shot those german tanks

    no way in hell

  • @TheUndutchified they retreated because they were outnumbered

  • @TheUndutchified Yes it could have, cuz the Sherman was a great tank. And lots of them did in the war.

  • @Theakker3B

Sherman was a shit tank and couldnt compete with any german tank untill they upgraded the gun in 1944-45 idiot

  • @TheUndutchified Why don't you listen to what the veterans who drove those tanks had to say about them. They said they were amazing on the battle field and wouldn't want anything else. The German tanks, maybe they had good armour and a powerful gun, but their engines weren't made to carry the weight of the armour and gun. The German tanks' engines would break down alot. Even German tank veterans have said that they broke down more often than not. And 6 Shermans couldn't beat 3 Stugs? Idiot

  • NOTICE VIDEO AUTOMATICLY DELETE BECAUSE DO

    *PUT BAD TAGS

  • U gotta have some freakin nut to do what Lt. Welsh did in 4:04

  • why does the guy who says go lock and load sound like tom hanks at 0:16

  • Well unfortunately for our species,we need war to evolve and grow,as a person needs grief, solitude and other negative feelings to do the same.

When we live in peace for a long time the younger generations start to consume themselves, only facing tragedy does humanity comes togheter for the greater good.

Sometimes we need to fight and die to change things,to regard the true valuable things. This is human nature, competition and destruction to rise stronger and do better.

  • @LinkdispLZ Bring out the nukes, initiate world war 3 and lay back and watch the fireworks.

  • @xzxCHIPxzx i would love to see you survive a nuclear winter

  • @SuperSheep957 who said i was going to survive?

  • @xzxCHIPxzx no one im just saying

  • @SuperSheep957 Were killing each other off anyway... id rather have everyone die then small countries dying off and superpowers remaining

  • @xzxCHIPxzx yh i agree with you there

hey this is a general question, why in this scene did the germans send tank destroyers and assault guns like the JagdPanther and Stug-III in to this battle? why not something more suited to infantry support roles like the Panzer 4 or the SdKfZ 221 Leichter armoured car? or is just because that's all the producers could get there hands on?

and i mean come on, Sherman v JagdPanther? no chance, JagdPanther gave up to easily in this one.

  • @SuperSheep957 I guess check their Tiger that's even a fake one.

  • @Warhammer40k47 umm there was no tiger in this battle.

there only 4 working tigers left in the world anyway so they would of used a T-34 modified to look like tiger

  • @SuperSheep957 Nono I wasn't talking about this scene. It's the one when they are ambushed in the village. You can clearly see it in the scene when you see the side of the tank.

  • @Warhammer40k47 oh i do apologize yeah i know what you mean

  • @Warhammer40k47 oh right, sorry!

yh i know what you mean now

  • @SuperSheep957 The German doctrine, developed when defending river lines in Russia, was that you counter attack immediately with whatever is available. JagdPanther was too close and facing odds.

  • @gamesbok oh yh now i get it.

i just did some reseach on that tactic. looks pretty good if the troops are under good leadership.

  • @gamesbok It has been German doctrine since at least the First World War. They have always been known for their immediate counterattacks.

  • germans

  • RIP richard winters

  • You see the problem I have with this scene is that the Sherman M4A1s were able to destroy those Stug IIIs and JPs by shooting their frontal armor... This is extremely unlikely, the M4A1 could barely penetrate the Pz. III effectively. Im assuming that in actuality the Shermans flanked the JPs and Stug IIIs on a much broader front and that just couldnt include that in the series because of budget reasons...

  • @LOLwut499 They could penetrate especially at the unbelievably close range the video shows. At normal combat range there would be a fair change of a deflection but some got through. A Stug wasn't well armoured but has a good rep due to the skillful use they were put to in ambushing tanks. As for the budget reasons, all they had to do was edit out 98% of the boring conversations and all the sappy romance to make room for more realistic combat scenarios.

  • @YappyRaccoon It might be able to penetrate the Stug III but Im not sure about the Pz. IV, even at those ranges. You have to remember, the barrels the Sherman M4A1s had were low velocity. Also the JP wouldve been perfectly protected against all 75mm Sherman shells at that range, especially with a 55 degree slope on the armor. The JP alone shouldve been able to destroy about 5 or 6 of the Shermans before pulling back, but instead none were destroyed...What romance are you speaking of

  • Ugh, these american movies are always so anti-german. Why can't we just assume the american 'heroes' win everytime and not watch this propoganda movie? And Spielberg always has a strange ongoing fetish for spending most of the action sequences focussing on the emotional problems of a single coward as if that is the most interesting thing that happened in WW2. Saving Ryan and The Pacific do the same coward theme.

  • @YappyRaccoon This movie was based off of actual historical events and Spielberg surrounded himeself with not only American historians when directing but also with European historians. There is no bias here kid, its recreating what ACTUALLY happened. And Im assuming you dont like what actually happened so now you dismiss history as propaganda and that is true ignorance. Sorry.

  • @LOLwut499 You are too stupid to know that any history can be twisted to make some look like heroes and others like villains. You are arrogant and will tell me I'm wrong but I am happy knowing you are just another stupid bigot american meathead so your miserable opinion is worthless.

  • @YappyRaccoon in every war, both sides have made negative remarks towards eachother. so what? do you think a German movie about Nazis would have its characters view the Americans and Allies in a positive light? no. if they were going for authenticity, they wouldnt. and as for the coward theme, most of these soldiers on both sides were just young kids. many werent ready for real war, ready to kill a man. Speilberg is obviously just showing the reality of it. you would be scared too.

  • @idkwhat2puthere Overgeneralization on all points. First, can you name a single war movie that fairly represents the German side? No. That's my point right there about bias. Only americans are allowed to be shown as heroes even though they were notorious for shooting prisoners, looting civilians and evicting people from their homes to billet their own and piss all over & rob the homes.

And I've read about soldiers on all sides that were extremely ready to kill when they went into combat.

  • @YappyRaccoon 'Stalingrad' is a German war movie that sympathizes with the germans. another German movie 'Downfall' shows Hitler's last days. clint eastwood's 'Letters From Iwo Jima' shows the japanese pov. 'The Thin Red Line' didnt even glorify war, instead showing the horrors and loss of innocence on both sides. and almost all Vietnam movies show Americans as both heroes and villains.

war is hell and not fair. never has been. both sides commit their share of atrocities.

  • @idkwhat2puthere Out of those I only saw Thin Red Line and agree it was unbiased and honest. I avoid anything that focuses on Hitler so I won't watch Downfall even though it sounds well done. I want to see a proper German war movie without all the misery and unhappiness directors focus on. There were a lot of operations with high morale, good results and a cheerful attitude among the troops, especially in the Waffen SS even as late as the final days in Berlin.

  • @YappyRaccoon high morale, good results and cheerful attitudes...coming from an army whose campaign was total world domination, and have committed numerous, disturbing war crimes against soldiers and civilians. idk if ppl would want to sit through a movie like that, where Nazis are viewed in such positive light. they created misery and unhappiness, not to mention they were also losing the war. so its fitting for a Nazi movie to depict them that way, otherwise we couldnt sympathize them.

  • @idkwhat2puthere You are parroting the propaganda of the 1940s. You are too narrow-minded and lacking the intelligence to ever look at things from outside the little box your mind has been shoehorned into. If you ever read and learned about the real situation with the Germans you'd see things from a lot less jaded perspective. Like most americans, you'll likely die a brainwashed zombie chanting the same mantra as the rest of the herd and remain bitter. You are too angry to be reasoned with.

  • @YappyRaccoon LOL umm no, im not angry at all. nor narrow-minded and ignorant. i understand both sides of the Germans' situation. im just stating my opinion on your movie idea. YOU however seem to be the angry one, spouting your anti-American media crap on the internet to random strangers. when YOU make a good war movie that would APPEAL TO THE MASSES, then maybe i'd care. but until then, please stfu with your bigoted, conspiracy rants and just enjoy war movies for what they are: MOVIES.

  • @idkwhat2puthere You are also too stupid to realize all the hate you spew is a perfect reflection of your own miserable self. LOok in the mirror at your ugly face sagging with age and misery and ask yourself what motivates you to be such an asshole and a bigot.

  • @YappyRaccoon lol well, what a 'healthy, normal' debate this has turned into. i guess it reflects the creed that you live by: 'if ya cant beat em, make nonsensical insults at them and then go to their youtube channel and spam hate mail on all their videos!'...i guess i shouldve seen this coming when i saw berserker's comment below. you sir, spend way too much time on your computer stalking youtube users. why dont ya try going outside, hangout with friends and have fun, like i do on my videos :-)

  • @YappyRaccoon woh there stop! if you are ready to kill another man without second thought or regret than you should probably get help now! if you can name on person you know of that took part in world war two and killed, wounded or beat up anyone without second thought or later regret than i will jump off the Empire state building.

  • The Allies just had air superiority which means everything (by the way these are not tigers thus explaining why the shermans kicked their ass) u must remember these are airborne infantry thats y they won

  • There is no doubt the germans had better armour shermans were just useless against the tigers but there were just too many same with the T-34 and the crusader tanks and german infantry were considerably better than standard US infantry..continued..

  • 1:41 wtf

  • @Bubulas123 This actually happened very closely to what is depicted here. There were a lot more Shermans than depicted.

  • Fucking propaganda of american pigs. First time I see Tiger tanks retreating from Sherman shity crap.

  • @Bubulas123 those weren't even tigers...

  • I still can't believe a jagdpanther backing off of a fight!...

  • @jolorulz Depends on the crew. Even Jagdtigers were routinely destroyed when they turned and ran without firiing a shot due to the green officers panicking.

  • @YappyRaccoon Wow I never considered that. I always assumed that German armored superiority prevented that from happening. LOL

  • @jolorulz Read a book called 'Tigers in the Mud' by Otto Carius. He is a German tank ace using a Tiger tank and writes about his whole career including the culling of the Russians and the disaster in the west when inferior JagdTigers were crewed by scared noobies.

  • @YappyRaccoon Thanks for the heads up. I actually know of Otto Carius, but I hadn't known that he wrote a book. Perhaps the jagdtiger was in fact inferior, thick armor notwithstanding, considering the fact that it came far too late in the war to make any impact.

  • @jolorulz Otto really doesn't like the JagdTiger cause it has no turret. It is just too big, sluggish, and the gun optics got knocked off everytime the huge gun brushed a building or tree. It was a sad waste of resources when more Tigers were so badly needed.

That book is hard to put down. The sad disaster in France is made up for by the exciting beatings they put on the Russians in midwar before casualties in tank crews diluted the veterans with green recruits in late war.

  • @YappyRaccoon That's quite fascinating! I'm going to look it up now. Thanks for the heads up.

  • @jolorulz You're welcome. I guarantee you'll want to read the book at least a couple of times. The appendix has more details of the fights including statistics on kills.

  • blide is a fag...

  • @rboss0 who the fuck is blide? His name is BLITHE. fag...

  • @rboss0 You're calling him a pussy I assume? For not wanting to fight, he was scared you idiot. You definitely would be in this situation, but then again you don't think so because your a little MW2 monster I bet. And it's spelt Blithe*. Fag...

  • @berserker276 Not everyone is a stinking coward like you are toughguy beserker276 and you must be really tough if you had to copy your name from 276 other losers who were also too stupid to think of a name.

  • @YappyRaccoon You need to grow up and stop stalking me. I know you're a coward, too scared to say any of the shit you do on here in reality. It's obvious you're a pathetic troll dude. You're trying to call me stupid because of my name? Bit sad really it's just a name..

  • why in the hell would a amored force of tiger and jagdphanter tanks retreat cuz of shermans???

  • @BrolyLSSJ1987 No tigers; just SPs, APCs & Armored Cars.

  • The armored fighting vehicles in this scene are as true to life as I have seen in any cinematic work on the period. What the FJ unit was attacking with were called assault guns. These armored vehicles had no turrets and aimed by traversing their treads. They were usually weapons based on tank chassis, and came in many forms. The Germans were famous for improvising various types. For example the one with the heavy machine gun mounted on the top behind the armored shield was one type they used.

  • you kidding a Jagdpanther can easily take out a Sherman tank

  • @penguinsmovies with one shot^^

  • @Mw2pro117 pardon me for some spelling mistakes damn iphone autocorrect.

  • This is a tipic american film...This is a propagand..."The USA army is the better."... It is so shit...the only Huntertiger can defeat all of that Shermans when the US tanks is in front of the German tank...

  • @zigjunior4 I fail to see how this scene depicts the US army as being "better".

  • @SMfan199 You are right. This is...this is a good film, i think BUT! US army wasn't better than the German army. Tigers and Panthers were the best tanks :)

  • @zigjunior4 Ya, but what's the point of being the best when you can build only limited amounts? The US Army was the better army simply because they won. That's why we're all using YouTube and speaking English instead of learning Hitler's so-called 'teachings'.

  • @richie8811 so you re saying that "more" is the same as "better" ?

  • @richie8811 They weren't better...they were more than the Wehrmacht : - / And there was the communist teams, all of that dogs...I am Hungarian...I know who they were. And an ORTODOX JUDE said: The german army was the better in the 20th century in their teamwork, and in a lot of things. ; - )

  • @zigjunior4 Yes the Germans had does Tigers but by the time they made about 200 of them the US would make two times as much shermans. And when it all came down between the two the US was just the better side and well along with other allied countries as well.Be careful of your comments especially when thousands of heroes died for this country.

  • @mw2pro117 Omfg...I don't say anything...America is the brave, hero country!! The protector!!! But the oil...the fucking oil...protectors...hm...lies...September 11...

You are right! The soldiers who died was heroes. But...there was and there is other people ;-)

  • Anyone who has seen the whole episode, please help. Where are they at the end? The one guy says they're going back to France, not to England, but where were they when he told them that? This is the scene where that one guy goes to pick up laundry.

  • @HeardGraceshot When Malarkey, the guy at the end of this episode, goes to pick up the laundry, he's in England. Can't you tell that woman is British?

  • @berserker276 Right I figured, but one minute they're in France, the next in England. Then the guy says they're going to back to France, but was that called off? In one of the episodes afterwards a guy says that "this won't be called off this time" referring to the company's new plan to land in Holland, so was the plan to go back to France called off?

  • @HeardGraceshot When he, Nixon I assume you mean, says the plan won't be called off, he's refering to "Operation Market Garden", landing in Holland. Wow you've confused me, lol.

  • to anyone saying that this is inaccurate, take it up to the men of Easy Company. there are still some survivors

  • to everyone that says shermans are no match for stugs panzers and jagdpanthers thats true but just take into effect that some german armor was already destroyed or damaged by the time the shermans showed up, and when 5 shermans with M2HB brownings,3 companies with mortars bazookas and 2 machine gun teams against some 100 germans the germans are screwed and this really happended

  • Quality is amazing, do you have more uploaded?

  • @Murlescent Thanks :) I hope to get a lot more uploaded this summer. And with that i mean A LOT more :) HD as well

  • in my opinion the best tv series ever aired

  • theg uys who shot the germen sniper and the helmet was a pot helmet or was it a stalhelm? watever why was he stunned?

  • @legopercyjacksonfan1 he wasnt a german sniper he was just a regular fallsmjager paraptrooper and albert blithe the guy who shot him was scared and stunned because he acualty killed someone and he was scared as mentioned in the video also

  • @flowingwolfpack oh thx man

  • i wanna see at least 1 german shell penetrating a sherman :(

  • what the fuck...the jagdpanther alone wouldve taken out all those shermans without a scratch

  • @bobojr456 That's not true, the infantry had M1 Bazooka's, and that many shermans against 1 tank, no matter how big or strong, enough hits would take it down and in the time the panzer hit 1 sherman, 5 shermans woulda hit him. I'm pretty sure 5+ 75mm cannons would scratch it.

  • @metalmulisha1177 i saw 3 shermans...sorry but no. germans also had Stug III's for support. bazookas vs jagdpanther....ha dont make me laugh. average kill ratio for most german tanks is well over 3:1 as well.

  • 4:16

Comon you gonna get me killed!

    Round bounces of tank

I knew you would get me killed

    That was just fantastic :D!!!

  • buying band of brothers- the whole trilogy. thumbs up if you think that is a pretty damn smart idea :D

  • super high quality - meaning 480p? when the highest is 1080p?? lmao

  • Reminds me of the first mission Of Brothers In Arms Hill 30

  • God, I love Germans.

  • @SpaceMonkey1983 Yeah, kids just think ALL Germans are the reason of world war 2 its just Adolph Hitler wanting to make his mark on history

  • "all easy stations, easy 6, holding positions. over."

  • Its in such high quality that its hurting my eyes

  • Oh you beautiful babies YES!!!

  • The horrors of retreat...

    sad.

  • "....we attacked with a few Sturmgeschütze IVs, the new ones, and some Fallschrimaeger and Panzergrenadiers. I was commanding the lead StuG IV. We ran over a few trenches of the Yanks and tried to break thorugh, then about 14 Tommy Cookers came through some brush. I reversed and we opened fire, at least 4 of the Shermans met their fate from my 75mm. We retreated, no of my comrades' tanks were lost. " - My Grandfather commenting on his role in Carentan after watching this.

  • Soldiers: OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT

Tankers: Chill, brah. I fucking got this.

  • @shadowblade232 I'm glad I'm not in your fantasy army of low-class retards who's vocabulary is nothing but cussing.

  • to think are great great grand parents had to face this wow

  • Best serie ever made

  • thank god, someone who didnt record their TV with a calculator...

  • @MisterLEM0NS Hahahaha :D thanks

  • @MisterLEM0NS Hahahahahaha xD

  • as if a small line with only a couple of machine guns could hold off that long against tanks

  • @TheJosh4565 Uhm, they were 3 companies defendig that line. Dog, Fox and Easy, they had mortar teams, machineguns, bazookas and A LOT of infantry defending. Then the Shermans showed up. So yes, they had a pretty good chance. Youll say that the tanks would have run them over? well, dog and fox pulled back.

Besides, no point in saying that didnt happend. Cause it did. If not, the series wouldnt have shown so :)

    Thanks anyways for commenting

  • @xXInYouFaceXx Just because a series, movies, show, or any other program says it happened doesnt make it so, there are many other stories and accounts. Both sides had victories and losses. This episode does not depict in reality the way German counter offensive measures accurately.

  • @WESTSIDENIA then read the book.

  • @Dogmeat1950 It clearly shows you cant comprehend a simple response. Its ok though I can expect this to come from a simple minded person with no thought of their own whatsoever. Im not going to try and change your mind but Ill be here to make sure no body else thinks in such a naive and simplle way like you do.

  • @xXInYouFaceXx Tanks don't run people over, otherwise they leave infantry behind and can get boarded and become more vulnerable.

  • @xXInYouFaceXx yeah but the series did a lot of things different than the real stuff. For example in the series the 506th and the 502nd take carentan after around 10-15 minutes of fighting then the germans run for the lives back then they needed almost a week(from the beginning to bloody gulch) to capture it from the them carentan is ,together with monte cassino, best known for the stubbornness and bravery of the germans

  • @xXInYouFaceXx your name describes what u just did to TheJosh4565

  • 7:30 Think about how horrible it is to die like that :/

  • @xXInYouFaceXx And they aren't even German tanks. They look like tank destroyers or something.

  • @xXInYouFaceXx actually if you read any history books theres a lot that the series made up and a lot of things not mentionned in the series . For example easy compagny broke a record for longest march with full equipment. The series never mentions many of the defeats that easy suffered.

  • @TheJosh4565 Yah this isn't fake this is what really happened the people portraded here are real people. Dont believe search Richard D. Winters or any other soldier here i found em with medals and rank

  • @TheJosh4565 It's Easy Company! They can do anything CURRAHEE!!

  • @TheJosh4565 at that point point the german werent as wild to fight as before.. the Americans had hell of alot more tanks that could be replaced, and the troops where pooring in from normandy,, The germans knew that...

  • @TheJosh4565 And those are not standard tanks. They are tanks hunters. Pretty good to take down shermans, but weak against too much infantry. You can be sure you wouldn't do anything with a bazooka or mortars against a Tiger or some similar Panzer, but you may be able to destroy one of them (as seen in the scene)

  • @TheJosh4565 The Germans might of regrouped, as the alliies were pushing on all sides of the Germans..Also air power were killing the tanks.Which was not truly shown..

  • @sargejovic98 it is strumgeshutz ausf g.....so yes.

  • @MrVault108 thx

  • on 7:29 this german guy gets ranovered

  • is this StuGIII ?

    3:46

  • @Sergejovic98 Bull, yes

  • @xXInYouFaceXx

    after he :D

  • @xXInYouFaceXx

    No, thats Panzer IV

  • @xXInYouFaceXx

it doesn't look like Stug III

i think it's a Marder or Panzer IV

  • @schweinchenbaben No it s a StuG

  • @jacupuh

yes..sry i saw after i posted my sentences

  • @Sergejovic98

    No that's a Stug IV

  • @Sergejovic98 To be totally correct. That tank is a StuG 3 G. Also converted to Sturm Infanteriegeshütz. It was a highly feared tank, due to its low siluett, and pretty powerful canon. None rotatable turret made it also dangerous for the german tankcrews. Thats why it mostly operated together with expirenced infantry and other tanks during ww2..

  • @Sergejovic98 Actually, it's a Stug IV.

  • 7:30 so fucking brutal!

  • at 0:15 that is probably the most nerdy radioman ever lol

  • the guy firing the gun while standing on the tank at 6:16 is awesome

  • The one thumb's down must be from our resident Communist.

  • M1 Garand only has 8 in the cartridge

  • that guy that first shoot with the gun on the sherman hes genial he just watching like im bored xd

  • reminds me of hill 30! damnnn that game is amazing

  • I'm not quite sure why the Germans sent tank destroyers rather than actual tanks to fight in the battle here, but who cares, it's a great scene! Band of Brothers was the best thing on HBO!

  • @boettcherownzu Stugs were self propelled guns that were used to fill in the tank role sometimes.
