I got a 5.0 coupe and im turning it into a drift car, rather then the normal "drag strip car".

Im from the Bay Area and 50s are so famous and popular here, and rarely do i see them built for drifting, let alone a notchback body style.. Can't wait!!.. Always thought it would be cool and different.

Only ricer morons wait till they hit the rev limiter to shift. It is dumb and cuts down your 1/4 e/t. And it is not very good for the motor. I drive a civic but I know how to actually drive it. And it is not a ricer, it looks almost stock except for the wheels, which are 16s. Last time I went to the track I put down 12.9 at 110. I also have a1966 Dodge step side pickup with the original 318 V8 which I am restoring. I like muscle and import, but I hate rice! Very nice fox btw dude!

i bet nobody noticed but the rear hatch is molded into the car. It almost looks like a notchback but isnt. That is prob. one of the coolest foxbodies ive ever seen

It's not molded, you can clearly see the hatch lines flowing from the rear roof line to the taillights. The rear spoiler is removed which gives it the notchback look. In fact in 1979 the majority of Mustangs and Capris were sold without a spoiler, including the Cobra. They look much better without it. I removed mine from my 1990 LX and I'm debating on adding GT ground effects; the LX just looks too plain for me. Plus rocks fly up and damage the side rockers on the LX.
