  • 2:05 is BASKO (J. Bos, from Stadskanaal in the Netherlands)

    TOP DOG !!!

  • that mal at 2:19 is a big mal i love big mals but i love a good working GSD more

  • Face it KNPV, French Ring Sport and Schutzhund -are all dominated by Belgian Malinois. The Malinois and Dutch Sheppard are simply a work of art by GOD! Perfection!!!

  • yes yes

  • dobermanns need to be crossed with some other breed for fresh blood and then crossed back to dobermanns again. it would certainly improve the dobermann in its working ability and health. maybe cross the dobe to the malinois or something and then cross it back ... :)

  • @bobo87244 you dont need to cross dobies, because breeds like the working gsd or the mali are by far superior to the dobie, so if you are a serious trainer get a dutch shepherd, mali or working gsd

  • @erich1313sch I agree with you completely . I post was in response to what msnina said about improving the dobermann breed. My point was that dobermann's working ability is so far gone and the working gene pool so tiny, they would need an infusion of another breed if the breed had any hope of being a serious working dog again.

  • @bobo87244 yeah, and if you cross them with another is stupid, it will not be a pure bred dog, and they are already great working breeds here, like the working gsd or the mali

  • Malinois is simply the best, face it :)

  • Malinois is simply the best, face it :)

  • these dogs are bred in knpv lines most off m are mix dogs most used mix is mallenois and dutch shepherd knpv breeder dont realy care about the rase they breed working dogs with very high drives thats why all dogs are mosthly malanois and mixt mallanois (dutch shepherds) knpv breeds over drives and theyre courage thats what knpv is all about

  • This is cool,man.

I've looked at Schutzhund(which for me is boring)and a bit of the ring sports, but I like the look of this more.

    Very cool(and NICE dogs).

  • 2:06 looks like something that needs to be on national geographic :)

  • 2:14, thats a big malinois!

  • ורי נייס! (:

  • @CrazyDancingBear i think i saw malinois', groenendaels, gsds, dutch shepherds.

  • @alsonee are belgian shepherds, belgian malinois, german shepherd etc the only dogs that can enter these type of sports?

  • REAL Dobermanns from German bloddlines are VERY capable..

It´s when they breed on small, weak dogs they get the "wrong kind" of Dobermann..

Make sure you alwasy buy from a REAL and TRUSTED Breeder!

In my country (Sweden) almost ALL Dobermanns are of the "real" kind.

My present dobie is 47kg at 15months.

  • Dobes and ther german breeds are very different to the dogs you see in this vid., just a basic difference in attitude and working style....not many could really mix it up with these dogs.

  • What are the breeds featured in this video? Some of them don't look like 100% pure Mallinois.

  • ive just got myself a shepherd cross akita, shep father , mother akita , anyone got any info on what i might expect ?

  • a WORKING DOGS ARE THE REAL GS FUCK THE SHOW FROGS

  • gotta love shepherds

  • Tolle Hunde! Endlich mal keine Beutearm-Beißer! Die Figuranten sind Weltklasse! Ist ein Knochenjob.

  • Excellent travail , good work , the K.N.P.V. , spectacular , children of the "masterpiece N.V.B.K. Nationaal Verbond der Belsische Kynologen THE GREAT SCHOOL CLAP CLAP Neerland !

  • Haha, geweldig ! gepke als pakwerker

  • 2:06 is awesome !!!!!

  • watch "macho phv haps"

  • Im still working on the highlights 2008

    coming soon...

  • i love KNPV

  • I believe if KNPV came before schutzhund in the U.S. , it would have taken a much more larger demographic.

  • bellissimo

  • that's cool! does a police dog know the difference between the people with the padding and the bad guys? or does he just do his job so he gets a treat?

  • nice, thanks for sharing! ~ workingdogvids-dot-com

  • Sorry, I've never seen a Dobermann bringing enough for this work. Years ago there was many Bouviers in the KNPV. Every dog is allowed to start (exept some breeds)

  • I don't understand how they don't bring enough. My male is 85 pounds and sure to protect. If I may ask? What do you think limits the Doberman?

  • Hardness, steadiness en trainabillity are the foremost traits of the cross-Malinois and (cross)Dutch shepherd. If the Dobermanns were tough enough and steady enough the members of the KNPV quarters would use them but nowadays the shepherds are by far the best breed to train for police work (they gain the most points on these events in The Netherlands, remember that the Dutch have breed and trained for over 100 years working and police dogs .

  • lol 85 lbs. You're ignorant. It's not about size. 85 lbs is cumbersome.

  • There are on your video those dogs are excellent. What does KNPV mean? Is those events are organized in every year? Where? Only in Nederland?

  • Im not trying to be ignorant or be insulted either so i hope can some questions i am legitimately curious about, from the point of view of a Dobermann supporter and owner. If the Dobe as it is today is truly not capable of doing this work, is that not something Doberman enthusiasts can work towards? Maybe i dont understand the sport enough, as I only own my first working doberman who is training for Schutzhund and narcotics detection. And i admit im not educated about other working sports like

  • KNVP and ring sport. But the Dobe WAS used as a police and working dog, and the IDEAL dobe should be capable..right? Maybe it is just blind bias for the breed i love, but doesnt the doberman standard have what it takes for real work? I believe it does and thats what i am working towards. I love the shepherds and see the differences & hear all the crap that shepherd ppl say about nonshepherd breeds. But i would appreciate nonbiased, well rounded input...

    Thanks

    Nina

  • I would be happy if every dobermannbreeder would work towards work like that. I began with this through granddads dobe and i hope old time qualities come back one day. this is not a sheperd vs all other thing, just a view over the breed at this time.

some other: did you know that the bouvier was the traditional knpvdog in the beginning?

    good luck with your dog!

  • So true! Bouviers can be great working dogs, but it is a little amusing to see one of those hurling towards you over a rottie/dobe/mal. Chesapeake bay retrievers, too! Truth is, it depends just as much on the dog as the breed. The energy level has a lot to do with it in addition to prey/defense drives. My mal is a great worker but such a low energy-- we're leaning towards therapy dog certification, and she's a wonderful tracker. No bitework, though!

  • Don't listen to the crazies..... I LOVE GSDs ... but i also know that dog peeps can go a little overboard in pimping out their breed. A Doberman can do just fine in schutzhund if properly trained. Some dobies will do better than others yes that is true.. but it is also true of german shepherds.

  • Very difficult and would take decades.

Its bred out of most of the Dobes, for most part. Takes alot of cooperation, no room for egos and thats the probem. Meanwhile-Mals, Dutchies and GSDs can do this work.

SCHh is now a sport, not a breeding certification, its been corrupted and is worthless, both As a breeding cert and training for Protection.

KNPV and PSA are the only venues that are realistic in terms of applicable rel work.

  • @alsonee which breeds are not allowed?

  • @erich1313sch pitbulls & Pitbullcrossbreeds.

  • @alsonee why? they can do excelent dog, and ive heard of many crosses between malis and apbt's

  • @erich1313sch I dont know. it wasnt my idea...

  • dobermanns tend to not bite very well when you put all the control work on them necessary for KNPV and the other bite suit sports. If they did well consistently then the dutch would train them, but they tend to dissapoint.

  • 2:06 is THE BEST...GREAT

  • I am a friend of dogsports too and i know that the police has dogs which must be trained perfectly for sizuations on street.

But i also know how these dogs are trained and better don't ask for that...it's not greenpeace like !!!

  • well, how do they get trained. Now i really like to hear, cause i think its a bit bullshit what you say. ( i have trained 4 doggs, please dont bullshit me)

  • mmm...so far a i think it isn't a belgian malinois....i think its a mix between dutch shepperd & belgian malinois...by the way...i dont agree whith mixtures...

  • why?

  • Freaking awsome! That dog at 2:05 is fabulous!

  • 2:15 is incredible! wat kinda dog is it

  • it is a belgian sheppard...so far i know. iam quite shure

  • It's malinois exaclty,i think. :-)

    3:05 - i'm under impression!

  • 2:15 is incredible! wat kinda dog is it

  • Most of them are mixed Workingdoglines from Dutch, Belgian and Germansheperd blood. There are pedigrees, but no rules about their look or size, just working qualities.

  • @luv2rok i think its a mechelse herder a dog from belgium we got 1 he is 65cm whit his back at 8 monts now and 52kg great dogs

  • @luv2rok looks like a Malinois to me.

  • yes yes yes thats real police work and nice sport....

    We love KNPV

    Wishes from Greece
