Reminds me of a time back in my teens I had a lime green '69 Dodge Charger and a cooler full of beer and a few good friends along. We picked up one of the hotties from the neighborhood and she promised to show us all a good time. Quickly went south when the first in line made her mad and she wanted to go home. Oh well, we still had some cold beer. Good times!
Back in 71 my dad was turning 10.80s in a 65 Mercury Comet Cyclone with the 289 Hi-Po v8. It had dual quads, and a 4-speed transmission. He said it would pull both front tires off the ground about a foot. Pretty sweet ride for an every day driver.
@Ramkys OOPS! Sorry, I was thinking of the obvious 2nd song. I don't recall the title or artist of the intro song. Best of luck to you in finding out who it is & the title. Cheers!
What better way to start off a movie with the opening credits with "The Fats" and Chuck Berry music rocking in the background.Great stuff!!!Thanks for the upload.
@TierodMcslush -- I think that may have been a flying quarter, like after 50 or 100 ft ... And they clearly DO have posi, laying-down double-rubber in the opening scene. (Sorry, I accidently hit thumbs-down -- My goof! ( ;
@starmanskye It would take more than that to make a 57 chevy run an 8.7 on bias ply's. It takes quit a bit of chassis work and one hell of an engine to make a car go that fast. It is hard for the outlaw 10.5 cars to run 8.70's with twin turbo's and nitrous.
MAN I WOULD LOVED TO GROWN UP IN THE 50S. IM ONLY 14 BUT I KNO ALOT ABOUT CARS BECAUSE I BULD CAE WITH MY GRANDFATH IF U GO TO MY CHANLE U CAN SEE OUR PROJECT AND SORRY FOR THE CAPS THE KEY BOARD IS BROKE LOL
We used to drag race a lot back in the early 1980's when we were teenagers. It was a lot of fun. I miss those days. Great vid. by the way. I had a 73 Nova SS all done up.
@HotrodGirl86 It was a fun ride and I'm still kicking myself for selling it. I built it up really good and drove it for 13 years only on sunny days, lol. It was my baby! Sold it in 1993. I love Muscle cars!
Great picture quality, thanks for the upload!

whats the intro song name and artist?
Ramkys 3 months ago
@Ramkys Chuck Berry made this song famous but it sounds like a cover by some one else to me. The song's title is: "Johnny Be Good".
