you cannot do a mic shootout without telling uswhat preamp it is... makes a difference... and the compression of the mp3 audio.... ugh you cannot hear the true qualities of the mics... none of them sound the same... at all... i've shot out most of these mics against each other haha... AND there is no pop filter.... LOL :( sad day.
the second mic sounded best on my phone, but now that I've seen this on my computer I liked them all, except for the 57's noise, now I know why all my songs have that extra noise, thank you:)
@sbeer6er its a dynamic mic... needs more pressure to push the diaphragm... and its rugged... and is an excellent mic for electric guitars and snare....
interesting, but next time get someone who is into singing and mics, he seems more interested in the song , he does even know the names of the mics and doesnt even seem to care.
But there is a lot of distorsion on the audio that destroys the details and makes everything sound similar and bad. Only thing that can be compared reliably here is the self noise of the microphones.
It sounds almost like sample rate conversion with really bad tools - that may be YouTube's fault. Try to do a new upload that has 44,1 kHz sample rate on the sound.
I forgot to say the uploaded video (original) has to be 720p or more to get acceptable quality, as YouTube has started to put lowpass filter on the audio of uploaded clips. At 360p and 480 p all frequencies above 10 kHz will be cut out - wich sounds even worse than this video (most of the differences between microphones is also just at high frequencies above 10 kHz).
At 720p, at least the frequencies up to 16 kHz will remain.
@HighwayNegative and i know of engineers who tried to use a super epic like $1,000 large diaphragm condenser on someone, but an SM58 sounded best... all depends on the vocalist.

I'm really surprised at how much noise the SM57 has. I have one, and this just affirms my belief that it IS.. kind of noisy!
