I love Tales from the Crypt along with Tales from the Darkside, Midnight Gallery,The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits. The Crypt Keeper is still my favorite. I would love to see this show brought back instead of all the Reality crap they have on now.

I remember that from when I was a kid and just saw that scene and nothing else from this episode, maybe 7, 8 or 9... I dunno, but I remember that 1 line. and the scenes before that...

Scarred for life is true!! I remember that line from Childhood, now 25 I finally got to re-see the episode from where that line came from... even now it's FREAKY as hell!!

This is one of the scariest TFTC episodes I'd ever seen! The doctor and Richard DEFINETLY got what they deserve. When Charlie came back and you hear him say, "What have you done to my soul?!", my heart nearly jumped to my throat. I don't care what anyone says, to this day, it's creepy!

Yeah, definitely a poor episode.

Their actions were too cartoonish throughout the beginning of the episode for there to be any real terror for the viewer at the end.  I also thought it was out of character for him to come back from the dead and act as he did. Didn't make any sense beyond it being a way to conclude the show.

@Venom0027 - I was going to say that the doctor was tied to the table (I always thought he was) so Charlie only had to subdue one guy but you're right. Damn, the director of this episode should have thought about that. I'll bet in the 90-minute extension of the script they could have written, there was a long 35-minute chase scene that explained everything. Maybe Richard ran into the wall, knocking himself unconscious and the doctor fainted. From terror.
