I saw the trailer for the lyrical toy box shit. If i had seen that before i started watching Nanoha, not even the x5 stralight breaker from Strikers would have gotten me into it. And i'm obsessed with Nanoha so thats saying something! What? Nanoha isn't your faviorite magical girl anime? Which is? Sakura? Magical Knight? Doreime?! (the last was a small joke of course)

limited edition blue ray set!! how i jealous you. i dont even have a blue ray player (T_T) it is quite interesting for you to slot in the history of Nanoha (although most nanoha fans should have know this ). by the way i am just curious that why many fans out there do not like Strikers...I actually enjoyed the series, one of the reasons is because it is interesting to see my favourite characters matured

The comment audio track with the StrikerS character cast did had a reason, since the movie is supposed to be a canon documentary movie made by the TSAB about their aces origins (which explains why Precia was given a better lasting appeal in the movie, since Fate insisted on it). For the track Subaru, Tea, Vivio, Erio, Caro, Nanoha and Fate are watching the final product and commenting about it, which is really fun to watch at some parts (specially Subaru and Vivio) if you understand it.

For the Funimation's release of Eden of East, the original opening was replace by the first movie opening due to the fact that it was too expensive to get, but at least it show up in one episode. And also I have to admit that the original opening was much superior, and ironically Oasis's Falling Down is sung in English as the movie opening was in sung Japanese.

@GundamLegacyExtreme Most Blu-Rays aren't region coded. Even if they were, Japan and America share the same region code (A), so there should be no problems.

i agree with you with the anime opening and ending are a critical part of the anime distribution and unfortunately they did that with z gundam when it came they switched it to some of the ovas

Actar, Nanoha actually had her own visual novel that introduced her to being a magical girl, the one that would later spawn that concept video.

Nice review. I purchased my Limited DVD and just got it myself as well. Well worth it and I display it proudly next to my 1/7th Alter Nanoha.

honestly the changed opening on eden of the east made me MORE interested considering it was 1: an actual and popular english band, and 2: its a mutherfreaking great song!

@Ichigo9913 Well, to me, it's not about how awesome the replaced song is, it's about the alteration of the original. It's kind of like how some sub groups try to make their subs funnier, even though the actual show isn't. All this in a bid to make it more interesting.

Even if it does succeed in making the show more interesting, you are no longer watching the unadulterated work, which is something I cannot stand for. This also explains my distaste for censorship and localization.

Actar's reviews were the reason I started watching Nanoha, and when I started the first season I thought "Wow, some of this is REALLY corny."

I hadn't realized he felt the same way.

@MidoriFan10 An interesting fact, during the first season, they were still unsure which direction they were going to take with the series, whether it should be targeted towards children or an older audience. Hence the somewhat corny elements mixed together with the really awesome stuff.

7 years on, Nanoha as fully established itself as a franchise for older audiences and thus, the movie is far more focused and consistent.
