  • I think that the sharp edge of that counter is more dangerous than this guy

  • i lost my rottie to cancer in august, she was such a sweetie, she loved playing with kids and never growled or bit anybody, and i miss her with all my heart. I'm sorry for your loss, Gibson looked like a very sweet boy :(

  • I lost my rottie in february this year... one day before my birthday..

He looked so much like Gibson, I'm in tears

  • the owners of this gorgeous rottie need to be commended. obviously didnt shut out gibson when their son was born, which is one of the BIGGEST mistakes any owner can make. i love this

  • ive lost 2 rotties now to cancer. i was just curious as to why so many rotties die of cancer?? is it something to do with in breeding or is it normal??? it just seems so common now???

  • may he rip....

  • You know what this actually made me cry, you hear about all of this shit about doggie being the worst but I fucking loved both of mine to the end and after by boy looked just like Gibson too I am truly sorry for this loss even if it was a few years ago :(

  • Such a beautiful natured pup, you guys were so lucky to have him. We lost our dog very unexpectedly early this year and it breaks my heart that my little girl will miss out on a special bond. Mia was very protective of her, the day she died she gave her favourite toy to my 5 month old. They will always live on in our memories x

  • I am so sorryyy!!!!:-(

  • Dog: What's he tryin' to do now?

  • :D :D

  • Sorry for your loss...

I had a GSD also, who recognized me as the alpha of the house. Any dog that recognizes the owner as the Alpha or leader will automatically respect the children of the owner. LJUNGWALD, you had been a good owner of your rottie and I understand your loss... I still drop a tear at time when I think of my late GSD.. she was like a daughter to me...

  • so cute i love the way he just allows your baby to crawl all over him and take a toy out of his mouth, he is so gentle. Im sorry for your loss, we lost our rottie to cancer over 2 years ago now and i still miss him so much!

  • Wow two sweet hearts! I'm glad you can share all these memories, they are wonderful!

  • im sorry for your lost

  • Sorry for uur lost. Nice video!

  • aww its so cute, as the baby crawls over his face

    dog: really dude?

  • The kid has him pinned for a 3 count! Great dog. Sorry for your loss.

  • So sorry for your lost... I'm sure Edvin kept the best memories!!! A child with a dog like Gibson is a happy child! Regards from Brazil!!

  • i've had dogs since i can remember and that dog is a big baby. good looking dog! you can just tell his got nothing but love for that child.

  • i just loves how careless these little kids are,, the dogs head is almost the same as the whole baby yet the kind doesnt care,, people only get scared at older ages,, wich makes problems:)

  • What a tradgety to have lost such a beautiful soul - your son will remember that bond for the rest of his life. True love and friendship never fades. Great job with Gibson - a boy and his dog, can't get much sweeter!! :-)

  • RIP Gibson. He was the most beautiful and good rotty I've ever seen.

  • WHEN I SAW THE TITLE OF THIS VID I CRYIED

  • this makes me miss my rottie, had him put down in november.

  • Your son will know he had a good friend when he was a little boy.

  • Whats With All The Blooming Comments "He's Dangerous" This And That. Blah Blah Blah. Shush Your Mouths! You Obviosuly Know Nothing About The Breed. Its Like; Like Father Like Son. Just Like Owner Like Rottweiler. These Beauties Are Not As Dangerous As Yooh Keep Quoting! Now Bugger Off And Comment On A Differn't Video And Let Gibson Rest In Peace!

  • BEST VIDEO! LOVE IT!!!

  • That is an awesome Rottie, now people can see their TRUE natures. All it takes is patience and love to raise a truly awesome Rottie. I am sorry for your loss of Gibson he is an awesome Rott.

  • This is how my rottie acted with my room mates kids and any of my other friends who came over with kids. I am deeply sorry you lost Gibson to cancer. It was also what took my Rox away from me as well. That was 10 years ago and I still can not bring myself to get another Rottie just yet

  • Comment removed

  • amm question? : how did you raised him?

  • so sad for your loss- I too have a rottweiler named Hank- He is 7 years old. It will be a very sad ay when he passes- he is the sweetest dog I have ever owned. thanks for sharing!

  • So sorry for your loss.

My rottie was put to sleep today aged 21 months, she had severe hip dysplasia, hyper extention of the hocks and then her spine started to curve.

All this caused her alot of pain and discomfort and the decision was made to let her go before the pain got any worse.

She was just like Gibson would let the kids pull on her and climb all over her and would never bite or growl.

R.I.P Gibson and kiera gone but never forgotton xx

  • I am really sorry for you loss. What type of cancer did he die from ?

  • i have a 4 mont old rottie born on 8 th of oct 2010

  • I cant get over how tolerant the dog is to the baby literally walking on its face. lol :)

  • Dear Ljungwald,It is sad for the passing of your buddy Gibson.I think all the video's you made of him and your kid shows that trough out your kids life he will have a gaurdian angel on his side where ever your kid goes......call me crazy ....you did good with your dog ...compliments to you.....i hope i willbe as good as you raising a dog like that.......PEACE :)))

  • Yes, give your children a piece of happiness

  • i had one for 10 years, that was really good dog, best friend for children(((( i love rottweilers!

  • Great dog. I grew up with two Rotties and they were big teddy bears. Very loyal and loving. Nice video.

  • yea this is the best good dog perfect owner sade for you you loose it i have pitt bull it s same hope you can have right one again in futur

longitme to remenber but it s live

happy christmas to you and your familly

  • Did they ever get a replacement dog? They should make movie out of this.

  • the rottweiler is only so friendly with the kid because he is growing up with the kid. All dogs are so friendly with kids if they grow up together. My Rottweiler doesn't grow up with little kids and he doesn't like kids. He protect our family that it. We have him since he was 9 weeks, everybody could touch him, but finally this is over. Only his family and the Vet - Vet technician can touch him.

  • @biker200804 Sounds to me like you messed up some where when you were raising him then. Mine is almost two years old. He doesnt see kids very often but still loves them and everyone else he meets.

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww its so cute im geting a rottweiler

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww its so cute

  • So many ppl got to know Gibson (millions according to your view count!) and everyone know what a treasure he was and we all feel bad that he passed away. RIP Gibson and thanks for the joy you brought everyone!

  • You can see that this dog would never ever bite someone. The kid is doing things that not every dog would tolerate and the dog just let it happen. His hands were so close to the dogs mouth and he just knew the different between that toy and the baby's hand. RIP Gibson! Good people or animals always go to soon.

  • Absolutely beautiful, thank you so much for sharing this. True character of a rottweiler, I wish everyone could see this and understand it's never the dog that makes it who the dog is....it's the owner. Again beautiful video :)

  • Hey, i just watched so many of your vids of Gibson. What a great dog.

    He's just needed in Heaven.

  • lol the doggie just let him crawl all over him

  • Comment removed

  • i have a theory that dogs know when theyre in danger, they just know it, so when theres a baby, they just cuddle, sin`t this adorable???? I WANT A ROTTIE MAN

  • all of the rotties that have seen has been really good with babies mine was a really good baby sitter she loved my son and slept by his bed when he was a baby she passed away when he was six years old

  • Just lost my boy over a month ago and still crying.

  • so cute

  • Not to judge this dog, but it's this kind of mentality that is the problem. Just because your dog is good with your kids doesn't make it a good dog. Your kids are part of the dogs pack and are not adequate litmus for social skills.

  • I love how people post ignorant comments on here and don't even know how to spell!!! My rottie is a "gentle giant" as well, the only way he would hurt anyone is if they were trying to hurt him or his family!!!

  • This is the first half of my poem to BooBoo, my beautiful 'boy' (Rottie) -- BooBoo It seems so hard to believe, that you have been gone for a year, and yet, I still grieve, and hold your memory so dear. You were my "Boy," And I was your Daddy. You gave me such complete and utter joy. You made me so happy. I loved you so much I cherishe d you so... But your pain was such, that I had to let you go.
  • (this is 2nd half) of my poem to 'BooBoo' -- With that horrible disease, that stole you away. It brought me to my knees, to see the light fade away. I raised you as my Son, from the day you were born. We always had fun, but now I just mourn. I'm in such pain, I'll never forget you. The tears still fall like rain, I really miss you BooBoo. Daddy 3 - 6 - 10

  • I lost my 'BooBoo' on March 6th 2009, to 'acute lymphocytic leukemia.' I still cry for him quite frequently. He was the gentlest 'love me' boy you could ever imagine. So I know the pain you felt, and more than likely still do feel for Gibson. I wrote a poem for him last March on the anniversary of losing him, I will try and post it for you.

  • @just1moretimeagain i feel for you and gibsons owners as i have a rottie and hes my best friend in the whole world i love him so much hes only 2 but it would break my heart if anything happened to him ....they are the best dogs you could ever hope for ...wherever i am mines sure to be there whether it be in the bath or even making tea he will be by my side i love him so much

  • @pinkdiamond468 I'm the same. My rottie was put down about 4 months ago and it still hurts. It is so devastating and so painful. They are a part of your family and a part of your heart. Seeing this video reminds me of my beautiful rotties and how wonderful they were.

  • What a fantastic dog Gibson was, the heartbreak for you all must have been terrible, & your son must have been lost without him.

Thank you for showing the gentleness of dogs. x

  • aaaaw, we trained our rottweiler to be bad, but he's so sweet when i'm playing with him or my little cousin comes over..... but anytime a stranger gets close...hehehe run, sry for you loss, idk what i'd do if i lost my kyuubi

  • this is the sweetest thing i've ever seen.

  • Someone told me that when you love a dog so much that he is bonded to you, you will see him someday when your time comes. Because God knows your heart and He knows you are missing him. I lost my dog too. She was sick and while I was at work, my parents sent her to the dog pound. And the dog pounds here in phils. are not the same in the US where in they will take care of the dog. Dogs in the pound will be killed. I still cant get over the feeling of losing her. I miss her so much.

  • I was also brought up with a rottie when i was young and he was as loving and chilled as Gibson (:

it just goes to show that anyone who labels a dogs breed by the over exaggerated media are just plain ignorant! it's quite amazing how after an incident with a rottie and a child everyone seems to remember it. But when Isabelle Dinoire had her face mauled by her labrador (deemed one of the 'friendly' breeds) no one gives the same reaction :/

  • aww that sux how hes dead, im really sorry

  • god. this dog could kill the baby in anytime.

  • @firstjedi YOU ARE SHARP AS A MARBLE. Less chance of this dog hurting this child, than a mixed breed. If anything this dog would give his life for this child, not the opposite. You really should EDUCATE yourself about PROPERLY RAISED Rottweilers and how great of a family dog this breed truly is. Not to mention top ten SMARTEST breeds as well as one of the OLDEST breeds around. GET A CLUE.

  • @firstjedi it could kill you too! better desroy all dogs!

  • @firstjedi

i hope he haunts you at night. >:)

ignorance has taken a whole new level,it's sad.

    R.I.P Gibson

  • You were blesed with Gibson. with a tear in my eye i hope you are blessed again. what a fantastic dog and you must be fantastic owners and parents. shame rotties dont live to be 100 coz the good ones should!

  • my 13 year old rotti girl (maja) passed away in August 08... this vid makes me cry as it does remind me of all the good times we had! they are just great creatures...

  • gr8 vid. i had 2 fantastic rotties, unfortunately, i lost them 2. i was absolutely devastated, on 2 seperate occasions so i know wot u went thru.

  • A lovely video...showing that animals know when its only a baby... Animals just like children will be the way they were treated when they were young... So sorry to hear that this wonderful dog had to go..! I also know from experience that another dog wont be able to take his place... However, you gave him love...therefore you gave him a soul.. now he'll always be around you..!

  • @Dezmau wonderful comment. sums up exactly how i felt about my 2 rotties, especially the 2nd part of the comment (made me cry).

  • My husband wants a rotti and i think they are great dogs.... ive just read several comments of people who have lost their rotti to cancer... first, im sorry for your lost... second is this a common ailment for rotts?

  • Gibson was a fantastic Ambassador for this breed. I lost my beautiful little girl Jan. 30, 2003 to cancer, she was only 4-1/2 years old. It's a sad fact that Rottweilers are very prone to cancer and other health problems. Gibson is with my Rottie named Baby.

  • GOODBYE GIBBY!

  • man im so sorry

  • Beautiful Rot, sorry for your loss. I Lost my Sara to cancer last May, she was beautful too. She was also wonderful with children.

  • seriously such a beautiful dog.

  • We had a Rottweiler and he also died in cancer a few months ago... :( :/ And sorry for your loss!

  • adorable - both of them.

  • That's lovely. My boy is very similar. Such a shame when people judge. I'm sorry for your loss.

  • im sorry for your losses he looks and im sure he was an amazing dog when i had to get rid of my rotties i had 3 at the time lost em i was gutted so i know how it feels but i hope you get through it i got a new puppy :D shes 7 or 8 months old she called ruby :D :D

  • Sorry for your loss, been there.

  • Beautiful dog...wish I have one like that!

    Sorry for your loss

  • Makes me wanna cry cuz thats how my rott is around my neice and nephew.. and i know 1 day my baby (Sway) wont be around anymore.. i hope my neice and nephew will remember what a sweet dog she was (is) like Gibson was.. Im so sorry for your loss

  • you were so lucky to have a dog like that

  • cancer took my dog too...well you still have the vids i still have the pics. R.I.P Gibson&Max

  • Oops. I accidentally gave a thumbs down when I meant to give a thumb's up. Sorry, I was clumsey. They really are big babies and I miss my Rottie every day. They don't deserve all the negative crap that they get .Probobally the greatest breed of dog on the face of the earth.

  • Amazing Rottie! Very Loving! R.I.P Gibson!

  • How sweet I am so sorry for your loss. Rotties are just big babies.

  • A very good dog, very obedient and loyal ,Sorry for your loss R.I.P Gibson

  • that dog is beautiful

  • Amazing Dog R.I.P my Friend <3

    Sweet Baby <3

  • Gibson was a beautiful dog. Very sorry for your loss. We lost our rottie to bone cancer at just 7 yrs old. It all happened very quickly and was very devastating to our family. It's been just over 3 months now since we lost him and it's still very painful.

  • we lost our rottie jake to cancer 3 weeks ago, he was only 7 too, that too young, the whole family are still trying to get over it.

Gibson is a beautiful rottie R.I.P Jake <3, Gibson and any other rottie lost to cancer <3 xx

  • How funny and sweet - I love watching the videos of Edvin and Gibson!

  • Rotties are such beautiful animals, they really dont get the credit they deserve. My boy Rommel will be turning one at the end of this month and it breaks my heart to think that we wont have a long time with him. RIP Gibson , surely you will never be forgotten. To Ljungwald you sure did raise a beautiful rottie goes to show how gentle they really are! as i always say, its all in the owner....

  • Enjoy your time with him as it does fly bye. We we got our Maggie 9 years ago, we thought we would have years, and we had 9 good years but they seemed to pass in the blink of an eye.

Take lots of pictures, and what i did when Maggie died, i did a photo collage for her with her name on top, and on the bottom was her date of birth to date of death. We have it up in our hallway and so i always remember her when i walk bye. It was like losing a child!

  • thank you for your reply.... thats one thing i do, takes LOTS of pictures.

  • you should show this to the news and everybody and tell them THIS is what a very good Rottweiler does just sits there and lets the baby craw on his head :P btw he is a VERY cute dog and sorry for your loss =[

  • sorry for gibson, =(

all your videos are so loveling, and fantastic.

  • Amazing dog, I'm sorry he's gone

  • Please, tell us , how do you note the cancer in your Rott??? I have a seven months old rott, What I have to check in him? Im sorry for your pet, is like mine, pure love with children.

  • My Rottie died in September of this year. She was vomiting, and not eating, so we took her for blood work, and her white cell count was extremely high. After 3 weeks, she was dead. Her littler sister got sick within the same month as ours, and they put her down because of Cancer, our Maggie died at home, but she wasn't alone, my husband was with her. She was 9.

We got another Rottie who is 14 weeks old, with this one, we will get his blood done once a year.

  • we have a rottie who is just turning one in two weeks, his health right now is great...hopefully it remains that way too. Can you recomend things we can look out for or things we can do to help prevent such things such as bone cancer from happening? we were thinking about giving him glucosamine but we are not really sure if that would or wouldnt be a preventative measure. Our Rommel is such a major part of our lives, we would be devasted if he should pass away for he is like one of my kids.

  • Glucosamine would be great to start giving your boy now, because even though some foods claim they have it, it's not enough. We feed our dog Royal Canin, and when he's old enough we will start with the glucosamine.

As for cancers, Rotties are prone to it, all you can do is get the blood work done yearly, when giving treats try to give natural stuff. Glucosamine is for joints but won't prevent cancer.

    Good luck!

  • Thanks again =) . he goes in for his 1 year booster this week, so i think i will heed your advice and get bloodwork done too.

  • Get blood work done once a year. That is one way that you can keep an eye on his health!

  • :'( I'm sorry </3 omg he's so adorable your baby ^_^

  • i lost my rottie Boris to cancer about 2 months ago he was diagnosed in August with bone cancer in the knee and was gone by September. He was 13 years old when he died i miss him everyday.Gibson is a beautiful dog

  • I own a year and a half old rottie who has the same temperment as this dog. Love him to death, best investment I've made so far. Sorry to hear you rottie passed, I hear cancer is very common in this bread I fear for my rottie later on.

  • rotties CAN be good. im not saying they'r bad, it just depends on the environment they were raised in. good=good bad=bad. same thing with the owner. you obviously are a good owner and it looks like gibson was raised in a good environment. its still sad though

  • rotties are the best.

Gibson was beautiful...perfect example of a rottweiler. Id love to show this to all the people that mistake them for blood hungry monsters

  • ii have a 10 month old rottie hes gorgeus but i m sorry ur dogs past away. i myself is scared bcos my rottie might have OCD in the hind legs

  • We lost our Rottie in July 2007.She had developed brain cancer in 2006.She remained with us for 1 more year. She died at home peacefully with her boy (our son) by her side.I know Angel is playing in doggie heaven with Gibson and all other beloved dogs whom have passed from our sight.

  • I just happened to see your video of Gibson. I am so sorry for the death of your dear Rottweiler. I just lost my English bulldog Samson to cancer, lymphoma actually. He, like Gibson ws a true family member.

  • rottweilers are so patient with children:)

  • we wee taking care of a Blind rottie for a while and he was VERY good around my Girlfriends child he got many big hugs.

as for the cancer My beautiful german shepherd/ chow mix BO

why does cancer always take to good ones?? he was the purest soul i have ever met

  • Haha, the kid wrestled the rotti down. For me there is no doubt that you have lost a great dog. MY Parents had a Rottweiler when i was 3 years old. The best dog u can imagine. We sat down in the garden and ate bread together.

  • Jätte fin rottweiler =D synd att han fick cancer =(

  • Most wonderful dogs - it they.

  • I'm sitting here on the couch with my rottweiler Bailey. He is cuddling into me. I can't imagine what you are going through, I can't bare to think of losing Bailey. I'm so sorry for your loss.

  • I lost my rottie 2 years ago from bone cancer ='( They are such wonderful dogs. I miss him.

  • I am so sorry about your rottie! What kind of cancer took him? I lost a rottie pup to parvo about 3 years ago. He had all his shots too! I know he will be missed! Have you gotten another rottie yet? I would as soon as possible while your son is still young.

  • this video shows the true side of these animals, i just got my girl last month. i did a lot of research on the breed and i am so glad i decided on the rottie. for someone who wants a fun loving animal, that would lay down their life for their family i don't think you could pick a better pet. awesome video.

  • my dog is a rottie/black lab mix, very big baby though, great around kids barely barks. I think his friendly side is from his rottweiler side

  • I agree with you that every dog is different, but the way I see it, you trained it carefully and you might have selected this dog based on its behavior when it was still a pup. Rest in peace Gibson!

  • thx for video, french love of rott

  • What a wonderful dog!!! Sorry for your loss.

  • Comment removed

  • You are such a creep. Its obvious you don't know much about rottweilers. I have a rottweiler who is so loving and great with kids. Its people like you that give rottweilers a bad name.

  • Make's a beautifull pair....

    But who is Gibson??

    The baby or the Rottweiler...

    Sorry...

    And I love the Rottweilers

  • I'm on my second Rottie. I would never get another breed. The best breed in the world! You did a great job with Gibson. You will always remember him.RIP.

  • I feel sorry for you dude, I had a Rotty for 10 years and apart from bone cancer in his right hind leg, was as fit as ever. To loose him so suddenly was very painful. I'm sure it was the same for you. Just know this in time all you will be left with are all the good memories of your beautiful dog Gibson. The pain in time fades away. Peace!

  • well said in the edit u had a lovely dog and it reflected how well u brought up the dog to its temperment and love. you are so right about never leaving them alone i have a lil jack russel who i trust with my life but i wouldnt leave him in a room with a baby at the end of the day they will always have the animal instint well done on showing a diff side of the breed

cutest dog ever & love gibsons yawns

    rip gibson xxxx

  • if someone hears "rottweiler" they think that they are aggresive and they bite everyone but now you can see what you can really do to a rottweiler and he still keeps cool :D

  • Hello! I would just want to say THANK YOU ALL for your comment and R.I.P messages i've been receiving the past year after Gibsons death. I'm sorry for not responding to all the questions and PM's i get, they are just to many for me to answer right now. I hope you understand :-) Hugs to you all, Gibson would have been a little bit over 4 years old now and i'm sure he is happy to see all your friendly comments on this and my other videos!! // Magnus

  • aww... This is adorible! I love your dog. And your little boy's best friend thats cute.<3 sorry for your loss...

  • Never seen such a patient dog! He was adorable and clearly a very friendly chap. :) I am sorry you lost him, but how lucky you were to have such a wonderful companion!

    Good dog. x

  • Sorry for your loss.

Dogs are part of the family and to lose one can be devastating.

  • Im so sorry for your loss. Bless your heart, and Gibson's soul.

  • my old landlord had a Rottie the size of a small horse and he was the biggest teddy bear. Him and his partner Lucy (also a rottie) LOVED giving kisses and playing.

  • Gibson was the best.

  • RIP, I'm sorry your Gibson crossed the rainbow bridge.
