hi, i've been playing goalie for years and i have quite a good reaction. my problem is i rarely culd catch the diving ball, im mostly push it out of danger. im dealing better with high ball or crosses. do u have any advise for coping with my weakness?
I wouldn't skip any of them. I would incorporate them with the Rower and Crosstrainer. The idea being that it's another form of work to put your body through. The more you can do, the better.
Hey, i've been playing in goal for about 7 months, and I'm playing in goal for my county for the first time at the weekend. I'm really really nervous and I was wondering if you had any advice for overcoming pre-match nerves..... Thanks
@Beastfromtheeast17 how are you playing for your country if you have only played goalie 7 months?! how old are you? and just try to be really calm and dont think about it until the day of the match. consintrate on doing good and dont think anything negative. and even if something bad happens, dont blame yourself, your the keeper, blame the defense.
I think the best way to deal with the nerves issue is to use your visualization to find peace and tranquility. You should spend 10-15 minutes each night before bed imagining yourself not only playng with confidence and success, but also imagine yourself in the hours leading up to the game, feeling calm, peaceful and confident. If you haven't worked with visualization techniques, see our 3 part series on using visualization techniques for peak performance.
should i charge the striker when the striker is dribble in front of me or i have to wait till he shot the ball?

Which exercises in the "Individual goalkeeper training" videos can I skip if I practise with an Indoor Rower and a Crosstrainer?
