I wish I'd known about these when I lived in London back in 1993-94.

There were a couple of quirky things I liked but these were not amongst them. Neal's Yard Whole Foods had a working water clock by Tim Hunkin. I'm not sure if it still works but it was a favorite. Then there was also the Cabaret Mechanical Theater which was a little museum filled with unny machines/sculptures with buttons to push that did funny things.

I'd love to have a list of these for future trips to London.

Where are you travelling from? Have you looked at buying the tickets independently for the show and there's a pretty good transport system in London so you can find cheaper accommodation slightly out of the West End.

@skyblue1955 If it's not too late try St Giles hotel in Bedford Avenue just off Tottenham Court Road, Oxford Circus. Very nice and clean Reasonable prices. I have personal experience. ( no vested interest)

Great video. In response to other people's comments about London. I was born and bred in London but now live in Australia.

London is a great place to visit and even to live for a limited period of time. However London is very crowded, quite expensive...and don't bother with driving unless you like traffic jams!

On the other hand though, there is a lot to see and do if you are visiting. There is a lot of history, tradition and culture to be checked out.

If you are planning on going....enjoy!
