just wanted to say hi to steve and frank. this is j dog in portland. cant wait to come back to wally world and train with you. I am in this video for a demo at pioneer park. was a huge honor to have jesse glover hold my newborn son. thank you steve
Great Tribute. Ah...Dave. He was a genius. So is Jesse. And so is Steve whose falling and tumbling ability is in a class by itself as well. Never did see Dave take a fall!
@GeneBurnett Thank you Gene. We all miss Sensei so much. This week Dan brought me his clothing, and all the Weapons from his many years. Also his Gi's and Gung Fu Uniforms, Just holding them makes me tremble with respect.
Yo, Jesse Glover hand speed is amazing! (for an old man at that!) Thanks for the insight on closing & entering, a piece of the puzzle i was looking for.
Thanks for the great video. Dave H was my very first martial arts instructor. Greatly distressed to just learn that he passed in Sept. 08. I enjoyed many years of sharing and learning from/with him. He will be missed.
@sspma which David Harris passed away are you referring to? The one I know is GrandMaster:David Harris out of Polk City, Florida. His Shen Shu Tao Institute
I don't know how old he is, but Jesse Glover was Bruce Lee's First student. I think that both Steve Smith and David Harris trained under master Fook Yueng, who was an unknown teacher to Bruce Lee. These guys are amazing. I went to a seminar with Steve. Awesome guy. Truely amazing in what they do.
You think correctly. Although Steve began as Dave's student, and Dave was "Number One Son." It's been four and half months and I'm still reeling from his passing. All hail Dave Harris!!!
Steve! Saw this vid and thought I'd say "hello". I haven't seen Jesse in awhile, but things are going well at Harris'. How did we all get so lucky to study with such gifted teachers? Who did we sell our souls to? Although Tom Seal has been trying to help me, I'm not doing very well recalling the Infinity Knife you showed me, dammit! Wish I could come see you more. I'll try and create that in the future. Hope all is well with you & yours.
shutting average ppl down before they can move is one thing but doing it calmly " stillness in movement" is very impressive. That inspires a new and very long term project for me , thanks again steve
He was demonstrating Shoshin Ryu Karate Jitsu. Sparring not so much as in MMA sparring or Karate sparring.

What is the name of the style that Sensei Harris was teaching?
And also, is it possible to apply to sparring?

@Combatkenpo I do not know the Grand Master David Harris that you are referencing. The David Harris I am remembering is the one in this video.

Очень интересно. Дэвид Харрис похоже видел русский стиль (система). То как он двигается похоже на систему.
Джесси Гловер молодец! Не каждый в таком возрасте так двигается.
