  • Fuck you!

have some fucken respect for peoples culture you fucken Internet no life VIRGIN...

  • Very majestic and good form. Muay Thai is as elegant and majestic as it is deadly in form

  • Muay Thai is simply the best. I enjoy it when I train and practise it's fantastic kicks and strikes. And I respect my ancestor who teaches me and makes me to to a great fighter. A big respect to all Muay Thai ancestors and fighters from Germany.

  • The one on the right has the best posture, amazing balance and a catlike gracefulness. This is a beautiful ram muay.

  • thi is awesome

  • ritual maligno

  • PART 3: I'll roughly translate what the narrator is saying:

The act of Wai Kru is a way for the fighter to collect and calm their thoughts, lose fear, gain confidence, and stretch their joints and muscles to relieve stress from their bodies, mind, and spirit.

  • PART 2: I'll roughly translate what the narrator is saying:

This practice allows each fighter show special moves unique to their fighting school and gives them a chance to prepare - collect their thoughts, scope out their competitors, become familiar with their surroundings, and be aware of entry and exit points of the fighting ground.

For fighters who know sacred spells, this gives them the opportunity to cast their spells during the dance to protect themselves from harm.

  • PART 1: I'll roughly translate what the narrator is saying:

An important custom of Muay Thai that every boxer can't ignore is the act of Wai Kru before every fight. The act pays respect to ancestors, or the king. Which is not at all uncommon in ancient times when fights were shown in the presence of royalty. It is also a way to pay homage and show your loyalty to your teachers - who have passed their knowledge of the art to you.

  • @Zazzerpan it's actually quite interesting you should say that because this dance is (according capcom) one of Adons hobbies and interests, which is ironic as this dance this dance is done to show respect to the one who taught/teaches you muay thai, but yet, Adon has no respect for Sagat)

    Also, LoL.

  • All martial arts have the strengths and weakness, just some more than others

  • rising jaguar

  • when learning the wai kru are u required to learn both forms?

  • Best warm up ever???

  • @BoasTherkildsen its not for warm up genius = =

  • thailand is one of the only countries of martial arts that still holding on to tradition

  • quest bosta da cu fdprs thw free step

  • the 3rd guy blew it

  • Must Thai is a form of martial arts that shows u not only to respect your fellow fighters but your discipline, teachers an yourself. All martial arts should be respected if you are into just brute force an harming others do MMA but in all thy have there strength an weaknesses. They are a base for a fighter to excel in his own right.

  • @Pouex mma is a lot more mental and disipline than people think, well if u have the attitude it is.

  • @quertierman Muay Thai is one of the most disciplined martial arts there are. MMA and all that is a brute sport and is not the same, muay thai is an ancient art that simply requires discipline to brew pure fighters. To know about discipline is to live the way the Thais do and live and breath the sport.

  • you know what i didnt noticed, that thailand doesnt have heavyweight fighters, all of them are lightweights.

  • @alinbjj muay thai is most advantageous to lightweight fighters

  • มวยไทย บรรลือโลก

  • ภูมิใจที่เกิดมาเป็นคนไทย

    SIT YOD??

    AJAN??

    SA SA TRA AJAN??

SOME SMART FELLOW DESCRIBE EVERY PART OF THIS`` RAM MUAY`` ,

    IN TIME FRAME SEQUENCE ??

EVERY MOVEMENT HAS A NAME TELL US ALL PLEASE??

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERANCES FROM CAMP TO CAMP AND **WHY??

  • @FUSSYMUAYTHAI It is all on the teacher his guidelines an his lineage of Muay Thai or any form of Muay for that matter cause they do this as respect also if u do the same dance u come from the same school trained by the same teacher an you do not fight one another it is a symbol of brotherhood thru that camp u must not do ur brother harm must not spill his blood that is disrespect of the highest cause the dance is for ur camp parents ancestors an Teachers an u represent ur brothers not harm them

  • In Wai Khru there is much more than meets the eye, aside of paying homage to your khru, the simulations, foot work, hands placement, etc, helps you fight and in your training. It follows the south to north and east to west direction as you move, this helps you fight in the ring, aside of helping you apply it in other situations, since a ring has 4 sides.

Don't just observe, but study as much Wai Khru out there, it will help you. Ask your khru.

  • do you do the first exercise in muay chaiya??

  • beautiful.just beautiful. love muay thai.

  • I like this music, puts me in a trance, brutal martial art just for the few.

Me gusta esta musica , me pone en trance , brutal arte marcial solo para unos pocos.

    saludos

  • @bearchild69 lol

  • @bearchild69: That's not what the evidence says. Look around.

  • @bearchild69 your on drugs its been on you tube mt destroying tkd all day . theres only one vs match . and the dude was a rookie . trust me ur smoking

  • @bearchild69 word, TKD is better than MT in everything.... except kicks, punches, mentality and real fights MT has the edge in all those but TKD is def better at.... being korean

  • @lucubration808 TKD is far superior 2 muay thai in kicks

  • @LilBlitz116 in cool looking flashy kicks maybe, in power and effective kicks MT is much better

  • @LilBlitz116 There is no comparison, Muay Thai will destroy with it's power, rather than TKD snap kicks.

  • I like this so much !

  • ese templo es el mejor lugar para aprender el arte de matar

  • If you understand from inside, then it become with feeling true Muay Thai Power.

  • the part where it looks like they are getting sand and putting it in their hearts, it's AMAZING. 'Cuz they put the THAILAND SOIL in their hearts meaning they are FIGHTING FOR THAILAND. It's amazing for a dance to have such love for country. Go Thailand!

  • Great demonstration of a beautiful dance. Now to share it with a buddy. ;D

  • the one in the back is a lil off beat

  • obviously the man all the way right is leading the Waikruu.

    He's moves are beautiful

  • Wai Kru mean Show respect to Ancestor who build you and teach you to be a Great fighter and some kind of warm up your body made your body more flexible ;)

  • @Zaz4Bi SHUT UP

  • @Zaz4Bi.. Yes. Summoning them and stretching the muscle.. Muai Thai's is very spiritual. It's more to it than what meet the eyes.

  • i found muai thai is the best

  • @eeeerrreeen All martial arts are the best :)

  • had some sat night live going there! LOL

    It like a Thai Kata?

  • look on wikipedia

  • nop. is a war dance of the ansestrals thailand warriors.

  • Yes, and it is clear that some of this movements have fighting value!

  • @TheSebaman, Wai Khru or Ram Muay is to show respect to the teachers & trainers. Muay Thai was developed by king of Siam, when fighting in front of the king in the old days, fighters were apologizing for the brutality.

In Wai Khru you circle the ring three times before kneeling & bowing three times as a sign of respect to God, Buddha & man to ask for protection for himself and his opponent for an honorable fight.

  • The fighter then performs the Ram Muay, with its simple movements show a fighter's control & style. The fighters on each side of the ring demonstrate their prowess to the audience. The Ram Muay is a personal ritual & if you know the teachers you would know who the trainer is & where he is from.

  • yes you are right :) . thanks for the xplication

  • @TheSebaman, Sorry, not trying to be a know it all but I have friends that trained in this art & have loved it for years & learned a lot about the Tai.

  • hey you don't have to sorry.

i am not joking, you are right i find the information in the web and the description is the same of you'r

:) bye mi god friend. (i don't speak english very well and im sorry for an lexical problem or error xD

  • @TheSebaman, no problem your English is good enough.

  • zajebicho to wszycho

  • Thank you guys! With you i have learned something interesting about thai language. What you are discusing is called the etymology of words.

  • this video is one of the most beautiefull ones i have seen

  • yeah i do it before my fights but i also do it at my gradings

  • one on far right is the teacher.

his movements are so much better n natural

    if i was looking for a fight,i would n't pick him =)

  • i do this alot, before every muay thai match, it really gets you focused, and i love the music :)

  • daincing with the music

  • khruu in Thai language come from Guru in Sanskrit

  • are you thai? do you speak thai? cuz im full thai and speak perfect thai im pretty sure it means teacher

  • Yeah, I'm Thai^^, Thai recieve india language through Buddhism tripitaka and Brahman. You can see many Pali and Sanskrit in Thai pronunciation. Khruu mean teacher come from the word Guru in sanskrit and Kuru in Pali. Manything which is compound word about Khruu have the word kuru in it like Kurusastr Banthitya=Bachelor of teacher^^

  • NikiMakoto is right. Usually, Thai words that have many syllables are derived from Sanskrit. Native Thai words are usually just one syllable (น้ำ, ไป, กิน, นอน, ชอบ, etc.). Kruu (ครู) is an exception ;)

  • well you're both right, guru means teacher.

  • I love the music and ceremony.

  • is wai khru able to accept ur own style...lik when doin the bow and arrow thing???...or it is a fix style???

    pls let mi noe...thnkz

  • wai khru is also used to taunt to ur enemy. you pretty much add with different styles..

  • It'snt south school of Bangpee ? That's like this one in fact...

  • .yO dOes any1know between wAi koO and ramMuay? i like the hAnuman ramMuay...mUay LaO-thai 4eVer....U.S.A..im LAOS..

  • Wai Kru and Ram Muay are the same thing, sometimes called Wai Khru Ram Muay. Also, are the random capitalizations really necessary? I had one hell of a time reading your post

  • yeah I agree lol

  • i love this clip!!!

  • Nice

  • if u want to see the real muay thai tradional muay thai go to surin(isaan)

or go to chiangmai chiang rai mae hon son

  • it look like they are pracitse dynamic balancing & Momentum of moving & muscle built. then make you mind steady.warm your body & mind then ready to kill.

  • beautiful wai khru

  • The real skinny guy to the right is obviously the leader, he has beautiful form.

  • And who said MT didn't have forms?

  • this isnt a form, wai khru ram muay is a ritual/dance performed before each muay thai fight to honor their teacher/school. wai khru means repsects to teachers, ram muay means boxing dance. Each school has a different ram muay. It also allows fighters to stretch out their joints, and calm their nerves before the fight

  • heh, i'm not surprised to find this kind of comment from YOU here lol

  • Um, why?

BTW I still think Waikhruu is a form of sorts. Yes, it is also a dance, but it's prechoreographed and designed for training without a partner.

  • i was just pulling yer leg

  • Let go of my leg then. I need it for walking.

  • btw wai kru wasn't designed for training, it's a dance done before fights to show respect. it's not designed for training without a partner.

  • Really?

I'm sure I saw Tony Jaa training with some forms. But then again that was only a movie. :P

  • lol exactly, plus that wasn't muay thai, it was muay boran which is an older, more traditional style of fighting from thailand- muay thai itself has no forms, but muay boran does methinks

  • ah.

  • Compare muay boran with bokator. Bokator has ten known major styles, muay boran only 2 (the monkey and the elephant). Therefore muay boran developed from bokator art form.

  • or maybe the other way around. Or maybe both, the same happened with the architecture in thailand and cambodia

  • wow, great. i have never seen some of there movies before! thx 4 the video!
