Although last night's episode revealed some very crucial details about Ben and Widmore, I felt that the overall "speed" of the episode was rather slow. The smoke monster scene with Alex was very important. Ben now has a subservient role on the show; he has to do whatever Locke says. I also believe that he is lying about his lack of knowledge of Jack and Co. being members of the DHARMA initiative.

Episode 12 was the BEST episode I've ever seen of LOST, I was so happy when smokey let Ben live. Ben is my fav charater, I think John is a fantastic good man and it is good that he is so nice to Ben. I rly wonder what the black smoke is.

i think that the black smoke is Jacobs Pet or watch dog really, because the Smoke seems to patrol the island and kill people that are not worthy of being there.....remember when the smoke sized Mr Echo up and decided not to kill him because he still had work to do on the island then he later killed him after he completed that work...i really do think that the smoke is Jacobs pet or maybe even an extention of him.....

It was a very, very good episode... but I thought the way they did that smoke monster scene could've been better. It was still a good scene, but it woulda been better if they kept it to flashes instead of the faces in the cloud IMO
