  • I think i pooped my pants lol nice test haha

  • could you replace the magnesium with thermite?

  • oh i am so glad my uncle bought me that fire starter

  • so can i get you to do a tutorial on how to make a really good one

  • i was wondering will u do a tutorial on how to do a good ninja smoke screen bomb i really need one thanks

  • @xxnightrayvenxX i know a way..

  • 2 KNO3 + 5 Mg → K2O + N2 + 5 MgO

You should of followed the correct proportions of 2 mole KNO3 to 5 mole Mg

  • ... making powdered magneisum by grinding it can cause it to catch fire with friction.. it burns + 900* C and will combust out and in your face btw

  • @MrKolerful If you could make enough friction to make magnesium catch fire that way i would applaud you!

  • The only thing he said in hole video was that was fucking amazing

  • thanks i wil try and make some for myself

  • i can honestly say thats a pretty good fuse oh yeah and DAAAAYUM

  • I have KCLO4 and othes stuff (In EU) labchemo@gmail.com

  • can you use Barium Nitrate do to the fact that Potassium Nitrate is now illegal in the States

  • @dylondragon Yes, but it's toxic... Silver nitrate is good, but expensive...

  • @dylondragon Not illegal. Moron.

  • how long does it take you to grind down the whole magnesium stick

  • why did it burn so slow : / it needs to be alot quicker to make a flash powder bomb

  • @MCDEVVOMAN Mix in some White Phosphorus and some sulfur. Note: Do the sulfer last and be VERY careful with it after the sulfur is mixed in as it can be EXTREMELY friction sensitive after this.

  • id give it five stars

if fucking youtube hadnt put in the thumbs up thing

so i hope a thumbs up will do

  • are you ever going to make new videos?

  • will this work if I use visco fuse instead of an improvised fuse ?

  • can you use magnelium instead of magnesium and will it be bigger

  • @superawsomeninjajizz i got stumo remover you dont need to be 18 at menards

  • @superawsomeninjajizz The potassium nitrate I got from Lowes. There's a stump remover they sell that's close to 100% potassium nitrate.

  • @AmatureChemist or you buy it via amazon..:)

  • that WAS fuckin amazing lol. Nicely Done

  • @BitchHoliday Much appreciated. Thanks!

  • @superawsomeninjajizz You can use tree stump remover too 6.39$ tax included.

  • I laughed so damn hard when I heard him say "That was fucking amazing"

  • "that was fucking amazing"

  • castings from power tools such as old chainsaws and porter cable wood saws are magnesium...to test just scrape off paint and pour on some vinegar......wait a few seconds....if it foams up its magnesium.... :D

  • Even better idea (YOu get about 40 matches least of 30) cut of 20 match heads crush them so you have a somewhat grainy or dust like powder and there you go =)

  • I tried to light my potassium nitrate, and it is spectricide stump remover, and it wont flare up, even when i mixed it with the same exact magnesium bar. Can someone tell me what im doing wrong please?

  • @wowmodblake you need to ball mill the kn03 you get for about 2-3 hours, till it turns a silverish color if using lead tumblers. I ballmill my kn03 for about 12 hours, with outstanding results. no MG for me though.

  • @wowmodblake theres also the chance someone bought the stump remover before you, and replaced it with ordinary sugar so he could get free kn03.

  • @wowmodblake it mite help to grind it with a coffee grinder it makes it real fine..hope this helps ya..george

  • Why the magnesium don't spark when you sharp it?

  • @Ubojica6661 because magnesium needs a high heat source to light it, the friction created from the sandpaper isnt enough to make it spark

  • @666TECHNO666 Sorry, I commented this on wrong video XD...

  • @Ubojica6661 lol, ok then...are you talking about the vid where the idiot uses a bench grinder??

  • @666TECHNO666 Yes, right that. Did you know, that flour is verry explosive?

  • @Ubojica6661 really, i would never have guessed flour. although there probably is some different natural chemicals in the wheat that might make it explosive

  • , wait , so if ur just rubbing on sandpaper and the powder that's coming off it is magnesium powder and that is flameable ?

  • you spill that 10 gram you better could put it in an tube and fill it with lime and tape it full closed with a fuse and you get an loud firecracker

  • Good stuff but some constructive criticism... You should use aluminum powder (400+ mesh) it is way better and much easier to use (no sandpaper) instead of magnesium.

  • Lol that was amazing

  • @AmatureChemist what about holding that huge flint block directly in an open flame until red hot, then slamming it on a hard surface xD

  • plz dutch version plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @AmatureChemist Best tut man!!! Now I can buy 10 dollars worth of Magneiseum flints and make M-80s yay your god!

  • actually do i nee only magnesium ???

  • i did that in my toilet just so that the flame will not spread(just in case) because its my first time burning magnesium

  • I know its prolly been said before, but make sure you wear proctective eyeglasses when you light this stuff. It is way brighter than the video and could damage your eyes. Friend of mine made some and looked right at it, left a nice redish orange mark in his vision for 5 minutes XD

  • @AmatureChemist yeh its works a little better now and

  • @AmatureChemist but i slightly fixed it

  • @AmatureChemist potassium nitrate 325 mesh

  • @AmatureChemist so basically it just dont burn right or dont burn at all

  • @AmatureChemist well it just sparkles a little and oesnt go off and once i added a little sugar to it and it was like sparkling rocket fuel

  • @AmatureChemist mine doesnt work help

  • Thanks!

  • is it okay if some of the sand from the sand paper gets in the mg?

  • lets say i use oh.......10 GRAMS OF EACH >:D how big will the spolson be?

  • hm... its really slow.. use finer sandpaper and mix 1:1 by volume (:

  • it made me jump lol

  • Its good brings a kick ass epic part in it hah

  • be careful magnesium fumes are posionous and will kill...!

  • I want meh some more videos! Keep it up your videos are awesome!

  • "that was fuckin amazing" :P you ar fuckin amazing bro GOOD JOB !

  • try putting some copper sulfate in it or some other copper compound

    wouldn't the explosion be green?

  • yup.. but you should use the best ratios.. its in my video of bano3 flashpowder tests q:

  • That is exactly the same magneisum "survival" lighter as i have/use :)

...it's the best value where i live

  • I had no idea BaNO3 was in sparklers. I wish I had some. I wonder if you ground up the sparklers and removed the iron with a magnet then replaced it with some iron oxide, would it make a much more energetic reaction.

  • i thought also so. But it would be cool if you can make some experiments with the mg/kno3 powder for example with sulfuric acid and make a video of some properties of it :)

  • no doubt.

  • Wait, isn't potassium more reactive than magnesium, and thus can't be replaced by it in this kind of competition reaction?

  • Rofl nice commentary.

  • yea.. i actually dried some at 50* C in oven one day.. powdered it as much as i liked and put in a container.. i use that for detonations now.. btw idk if my an/mg is so extremely powerful because im so win at making it (lol) OR because its a little bit wet (magnesium reacting with water reaction?) ''flashpowder deflagration'' is my video called.. somebody flagged it for the real title -.- anyways.. theres iron, alumimiun, bano3 and starch in sparklers (: bano3 = REALLY powerful!!

  • soon its new year.. theyre selling TONNES of sparklers.. i do have a tutorial on how to get Ba(NO3)2 from them (: bad quality.. but i think its the only? q: btw.. ammonium nitrate.. i use 3:5 an/mg mine isnt all dry every time.. use by volume/parts.. not good for firecrackers.. dont let it stand somewhere.. for too long (; but youre going to do some flashpowder and such for now? q: but use ferrocerium/magnesium as a fuel and use 1:1 with kno3.. then its 2:1:1 kno3:ferrocerium/flint:magnesium

  • hey... you know ferrocerium or flint.. ferrocerium is in zippos.. the zippo flints.. mix magnesium and flint(or ferrocerium) 1:1 then use that with magnesium 1:1 btw i think you gotta use a finer sandpaper for your magnesium.. looks quite slow (: i use a firesteel.. rather wanted a magnesium bar.. but screw it! firesteel is AWESOME flashpowder fuel.. matchpowder/firesteel is really fast too.. 1:1 xD you could try other oxidizers too.. Ba(NO3)2 is VERY powerful with magnesium!!

  • try aluminium /magnesium,and use some sodium nitrate if you want a very bright yellow flash-needs more heat to ignite tho

  • i´ll be using old pencil sharpeners, which usually consist of pure Mg as well! \o/

  • this is awesome!

    I really need Mg metal...

  • i have a question: does the Mg/KNO3 Powder react also with water like a Mg/AgNO3 Powder ?

  • ok!

  • no worries

  • going to start talking any time soon? dont be shy

  • so where do i get Magnesium

  • use 400 grit sandpaper the result is much better and less grinding time

  • dude never cancel you channel

  • how strong is this stuff is it equivalent to gunpowder?

  • Haha. I so totally agree. That was fucking amazing :P

  • you´re right 1:46 fuckin amazing =P science rulz !
