No wonder this TV movie is as memorable as it was: William Read Woodfield (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea) and Sutton Roley were behind it. I love Roley's use of weird angles and wide lenses.

This movie was shown on ABC Movie of the Week in 1975 and scared me more than any movie ever did even had nightmares long after seeing it; Now more than 35 years later the very thought of the movie creeps me out; A REAL CLASSIC HORROR FILM!!!

I have sailed in the so-called "Bermuda Triangle" numerous times and nothing out of the ordinary happened. I believe that most of it is due to instrument failure and bad navigation. Notice how nothing has been reported in years concerning lost modern ship and aircraft? The last reported incident were the flight of Navy Avenger torpedo bombers that got lost and ran out of fuel and inevitably crashed in the ocean.

@59Skott i hear wattt ur sayn but me,daughter@lots of friends traveled to bermuda 9.8.2011-9.13.2011 for vacation@datz all i had in tha back of my mind was tha bermuda triangle the things@stories i'd herd growing up i din't want 2 go but went anywayz mi daughter was so excited about tha trip i din't want 2 disappoint them only if they knew wat i was thinkn they'd probably change their minds but a couple of weird things happened on tha cruise that itx not enuff space to write here won't go again!

what i dont get is all about the things that happen at the triange seriously ace polits could have got attacked by other planes milk clouored water + fog could turn white crazy compass could have broken or very loose screws but i cant really figure out what happened to the boats and planes. You ain't kidding....I saw that movie 30 something years ago too , and never forgot it...It is one seriously horrifying movie....I watched it late one night ,and had a hard time settling down enough to go to bed.

I recently read a book about the Triangle...some really freaky stuff has happened there. Ships and planes seem to just disappear. one guy said he entered a heavy fog and the water turned white..the ocean looked like milk. The compass went crazy and started spinning around.

Of course the strangest is the navy fighters that disappeared during WW2. Many were combat vets...experienced pilots yet they because lost and disappeared.

I was just thinking about this movie (it was just yesterday) I couldn't recall the name of the movie but I mentioned it to my wife and described some of the scenes from the movie to see if she had seen it, she said it didn't sound familiar to her. I started just surfing youtube for a movie to watch and here it is!!

I love it!! Thanks for posting!! This movie scared the crap out of me and my sister back in the 70s - I think I was ten and she was 14. The other TV movies I remember that scared us were "Stranger in our House" and "Bad Ronald" - I would love to see those again too!

I am still waiting too for them to release this movie in a professional quality like they did with Horror/Supernatural The Evil (1978) starring Richard Crenna which I now own in a perfet awsome quality.

Some of the big producers should remake this movie but without adding the bs from Ghost Ship. It has to be a better thriller without losing the original essence. I watched this movie in Brazil in 1981 and it is one of my favorite horror movies. Not many movies as good as this one. The end is really creepy.

i thought about this movie over the yrs too. funny how a movie like this stays with you for yrs.I first saw it in 75 when i was 9 and it scared the heck out of me.I seen it a few times after that. then it was never on again.ive searched on here periodically. never to find it. thanks for posting. brings back memories of when i was a kid

Thank you for posting this. If this is the one I think it is, I believe it aired in the evening, as a movie of the week. It was disturbing and I don't think they aired it in the afternoon. It never played again and I always looked for it. Seems silly now that we know it is omitted gases causing planes and boats to go under and not Satan. Back then though, nobody knew and it really did seem to be satan, haha.

@robbjmc , yes, it stuck with me too. So scary it was. always wanted to see it again. I was only 10 when this aired. I am only on part 3, I still need to watch to be sure it is the same one. I always thought it was called "the devil's triangle". But I think this is it.
