I know the kid stopped recording when Riveri asked if the camera was on, at the end from how I heard him talk, it sounded like he said, "Because if I find myself on YouTube..." I bet he said that if he found himself on YouTube, he's going to get really mad. Well, I just hope he found this video, so he can see what kind of comments people are saying about it.

I seen the video. I hate to say it but i got to side with the officer. Skate board stunting destroys public property. We 've got to pay for these destructive bastards. Also i don't like it when young people sass older people irregardless of the mans badge. You don't do it. When i see stuff like that i want to pull my belt off and go to town. NO i don't like cops most are but holes, but this time the cop was right. He should not have cared if the camera was rolling.

@delriosbro I don't think people disagree the fact that that the kids skateboarding there is wrong. they were not supposed to be there yes, we know that. what people have a problem with is with this cop's short-temper and unprofessional way to handle a 14 yr-old kid. Grabbing him by the neck, with a lock, and pushing him to the ground for doing nothing but talk back like a kid is improper. Officers are supposed to exercise "reasonable force". This sure as hell was NOT.

Little Brat kid. What happened to obeying the instructions of an officer. Couldnt this kid (or was he) be charged with disobeying an officers orders? Shoulda listened to his friend and shut his mouth. He was told to sit down and he didnt, thats a crime period. When he disobeyed an order he shoulda been cuffed right there.

Pristine record for over a decade, risking his life protecting the community... then on this day he has to deal with this child (who is breaking the law) who is mocking him to his face. Furthermore I get it man. I skateboarded when I was a young. Probably broke the law a few times trespassing just like these kids. Difference? A cop confronted me, I definately wouldnt have acted like this kid. My community now has an active population of youth who skateboard... what are they doing now? Raising money to build a skatepark. Its admirable what they are doing.

Ok I'll admit the kid was a little bit of a brat but it's not like he did nething majorly wrong this cop just started freaking out. The kid looked scared more than anything this cop should never have touched him. I mean he full on shoved him to the ground. Twice. The cop also judged the child by his clothes and skateboard and decided that he was going to be disrespectful before the kid was even aware he was there. That cop is lucky he's not in jail

Tough being a Police Officer now a days. Kids are being raised not to respect anyone. I teach, and I get kids coming in calling me "dude" as well. I'm sure he wishes he had this back and handle it differently, but I definitely feel his pain. Society needs to start teaching more respect for adults, teachers, police officers, etc.

Thats unbelievable behaviour for any cop in any situation. This just got posted to FB and I never saw it before, however I am so sorry for the kid. Should never have to see any adult behave like that and I just hope he doesn't think it was his fault.
Sure a minor reprimand for boarding where it was supposed to be illegal or whatever is fine, but this was just outrageous. Severed without pay or retirement pension seems more than appropriate. But he should also apologise in person to the kid.

we got treated a lot worse by cops as kids, on one occasion a cop head butted a friend while he had his police motorbike helmet on.
This guy deserves to be fired for treating the kid like that, hopefully it will send a message to other cops. Dude... man
