  • I want The Sword to come to phoenix so I can become shit face drunk and a mosh pit. lol

  • this is some amazing stuff! way better than the crap being played by mainstream radio. thanks for the upload! greeting from california \m/ \m/

  • Thank you guys...you are great !!!!!

  • When I first heard Freya I was blown away, it was like Sabbath was flowing through their veins. Then Gods Of The Earth came out, now this!? These guys KEEP blowing me away... Why can't more artist play in the vein of 70' Sabbath style hard rock/heavy metal?

  • @gumballthechewy If you want some more Sabbath-esque metal, check out the band Sleep. They also have a kickass cover of snowblind!

  • @DaarthPingas

Will do, I've never heard of them so thanks for the heads up!

  • @gumballthechewy Also, I forgot to mention Electric Wizard, and also Kyuss. Some more great stoner metal bands!

  • @DaarthPingas

Yeah, I check out Sleep.... fucking awesome band! I'm definitely going to check out those others as well, thanks a bunch!

  • @gumballthechewy listen to red fang and orange goblin. not exactly like electric wizard or sleep, but i have a feeling if you like those bands you'd like the two i mentioned. Also, the song dopsmoker by sleep literally blows my mind.

  • @beeasy508

I enjoy From Beyond by Sleep, well pretty much the whole Holy Mountain album!

  • @gumballthechewy I find it awesome to listen to shit off of Volume 1, it actually has a crust punk tinge XD

  • @DaarthPingas

For me it's a toss up between the two albums. I guess if I had to pick one it would be Holy Mountain, only slightly.

  • @gumballthechewy Well, I'd pick Dopesmoker over Volume 1, but that's just me :/

  • sounds better @ 33rpm

  • I am SO glad I discovered these guys last year. They're awesome.

  • @scotthate you got the wicked 3 way quote from listener domination on liquid metal didn't ya?

  • 3:01-3:11 just disgusting cool.

  • if you listen to the end of the lyrical line at about 00:33, his voice is autotuned

  • @MetricHotrodsdotcom

You probably didn't listen to the earlier albums by these guys for days on end like I have, but his voice is pretty much exactly the same. The production values are up on this album, but that is just how J.D. Cronise sings.

  • @Destrina11 shush. i got the sword witchcraft split LP when it came out, however many years that's been. dont try to self-gratify on youtube. it's....tacky.

  • Yes of course we can all make the all too obvious Zep comparison but seriously folks when I hear this song all I hear is Mr Lynnot and company.

    Pacis unto vos veritas!

  • this album is great, its sumthing like if phil lynott an pepper keenan jammed

  • One of the best albums in 2010- when not of all time!!!

  • Zeppelin were never this distorted and heavy. If you increase the heaviness of Zep, you get Sabbath. Sabbath = metal. Still, it's all heavy blues, of course. Hell, if you take solos from a Glam Metal band like Ratt, you get the blues. Listen to their main riff in Lovin You is a Dirty Job.

As jim said, s'all rock anyway. Enjoy the glory.

  • why does this song only have 7000 views? god i hate mainstream music for stupid ass artist, we need hard rock more like this

  • Rock, Metal? It's all rock n roll!

  • Note for note they're more rock and roll than metal. Its the C Standard tuning that gives them the ominous metal vibe. Play one of their solos in E standard and it sounds much closer to bluesy rock and roll. Regardless of what they "are" they sound fucking amazing. Just remember: people who loved Zeppelin and the 70's are gonna hear rock. People who love Sabbath, Maiden, and Metallica are gonna hear metal. People with taste will hear both ;)

  • @TheKissmyasthma99 Lol man, thank you for easing my conscience. Good post.

  • @TheKissmyasthma99 amen bro.

  • The sword rules

Some critics dissed this new record

What a bunch of fucking complete pricks this shit RULES

    Finally a real rock band!

  • @leakycauldron1 ROCK? ROCK!?!?

    This is metal.

  • @TheUSMCE5

    Both categories apply

From their myspace: (categories) HEAVY METAL/ROCK

From their bio- "The Sword is an American Heavy Metal / Rock & Roll band..."

    :o)

  • @leakycauldron1 What they say they are. =/= What they are.

  • Immigrant Song + Achilles Last Stand = Win

  • wow....real metal DOES exist still!

  • just finished listening to this album and im so impressed, the sword has outdone themselves once again, this album is by far the best album i have listened to all year and mabey all time, definately up there

  • " Good band".....they sound like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden & Metallica having a wicked 3 way.

  • @scotthate2008 Throw in a tad bit of Mastodon.

  • @scotthate2008 haha i was actually just thinking that before i saw your comment

  • @scotthate2008 nope, no metallica here.

  • HOLY SHIT BEST TRACK OF THE ALBUM! Best track of the year. 2:50 makes me pee

  • this album sounds as if its going to kick ass....and squeeze the shit out of 'artists' like justin bieber

  • it sounds like they finally remembered where they had their amps set to for "Sea of Spears".

  • First view YES!
