@tamaduni They won't be King Leopold version of Chinese.....whoever gets benefit, the bottomline is that it is a mutual agreement between the two parties....so please shut the f ..up! You idiot.
If only all stories about our phenomenal country Kenya were more like this: dealing with development and forward moving projects! I look forward to the day when debates are about how to best address an issue rather than the petty politics we often find ourselves in. God bless Kenya!
it is a good project but the only problem is will the government keep up with the roads in any case of potholes??? or they will just let the roads off in west like many roads in kenya???
siasambaya am waiting to se if my fellow kenyans can enjoy their freedom.and thanks forcorrecting me ok siasabora maisha bora ok. Kenya juuuuuuu.pamoja nawale wanachangia mjadala
Excuse me Jamanyoro: What does Kenya owe you? The politician promised heaven so you elect them now its over n out!...no contract was signed, right? Sasa roll up your sleeves buy a Matatu and make use of the Chinese built roads...na hiyo ndiyo maendeleo!
You really think matatu drivers will avoid getting into town because there's a bypass? Well you probably have forgotten what Kenyans are like. In Nairobi streets, there are lights that neither the vehicles nor the pedestrians pay any attention to. On Kimathi street, people are constantly crossing the road whether the light is red or green, it might as well be blue for all they care.
Money borrowed from the Chinese and given to Chinese contractors....then who foots the bill? Your children and grandchildren. We should instead upgrade our local contractors to ensure we they meet or exceed international standards, is that hard to do?.....it is sad we have lost faith in ourselves as a nation, we even want the hague to solve our problems and foreigners to sit on our own electoral commission....
Lets just hope the work by the Chinese Co. will last long but DON'T just praise them while their work is very new. We've seen them doing shoddy jobs in their own land (China) Schools falling, roads swept away by floods. Guys don't be attracted by the appearance, time and long rains will prove their works OK!!
Kenyan road constructors are useless, just see the shoddy jobs they did during the Moi years. A road that could withstand rain, but with the chinese, u are guaranteed first class roads. I am impressed.
i wonder how long a marble road could last
