Since there is such a debate about Global Warming, whether it is a natural cycle or caused by man, the loss of this satellite is particularly costly. It could have helped break the stalemate. Take a an enclosed glass tube filled with earth's atmospheric constituents, set it next to one with a higher percentage of CO2, let them both sit under a radiant heat source. It's not simply a matter of CO2 being created by heat, it's the fact that it adds to the absorbtion, creating an increased effect.

Can't decern what the original statement was. A few other facts The space shuttle is the largest single event producer of florocarbons, and these rocket launches produce MASSIVE amounts of CO2 but both are miniscule in compareson to mans current daily activities. The effects of thedramatic reduction of clorophyl and dramatic increase in carbon oxidation MUST be monitored and possibly curtailed in order for life as we know it to continue.

Nature most definately WILL fix the problem. I would just prefer it isn't by eliminating the cause. The cause is a sudden releasing of CO2 chemically stored over millions of years rather than the natural release which occured before man found that stored energy source.

Liquid Co2 has a boiling point around -100f. When liquids, including water, boil, they absorb heat. There's no such thing as cold, just lack of heat energy. So yes, a Co2 extinquisher chills a fire, but it mostly displaces all the oxygen and being a heavy gas, smothers the fire like putting a lid on a flaming frying pan.
