Maybe the owner should be forced to take pictures of each of the items on the menu so that all people of all languages can just point to what they want. No deviation from basic menu. Maybe the government would like to pay for those meals as well!

I love going to the Department of Motor Vehicles. There are tests that are in 16 languages, but there should only be one: The same language that is on the signs, ENGLISH only. Mabye we should have the signs in 16 languages too. That will create jobs!

I don't see how requiring others to be able to speak in a common language in order for trade to commence is that hard. Assuming the menu was in english, the customers needed to read what the menu said. Even if they can't pronounce it perfectly in the local accent, they could get it close. English and spanish use the same letters(ish) with same sounds(ish). Ish works well in a diner. How else do cajuns and texans trade with each other?

In the case, Spun Steak was sued by two employees who only spoke Spanish, after it instituted an English-only policy. My point is this guy wouldnt refuse someone from England, Iredland, Australia etc who speaks english becuase it isnt "American English". This guy cant even pronounce Ethnicity correctly.

Mexico is part of the ..........America's , did you know that we live in NORTH America and that there is a SOUTH America.. but strangely enough they don't speak English.. fancy that... so the sign was to exemplify American - English.. A trivial complaint.. But I guess you deserve some credit for trying to find something to complain about right.. u guys are so persnickety ..What kind of world would it be with whiners like u in charge?

@carlindelco First of all America doesnt have an official language. Secondly there are plenty of dumb hicks in this country who are harder to understand than foreigners. You know, the ignorant hillbillys who lecture foreigners on the finer points of english when they cant spell and make up their own words. Ive met plenty of foreigners who speak english as a second language who are easy to understand accent and all. Ive also met plenty of hicks who only speak English that i cant understand.

@darrenritt27 No duh!! for centuries it had been understood and millions of immigrants had RESPECT and the need in order to succeed, taught themselves the language. BUT now we have a devolved culture that requires us to demand that you speak English. And of course do you have a POINT? Speak English.. use American currency , do shit in public place, wipe your ass, take a bath.. is this where we are headed???
