  • Greetings from Singapore! Love the song n video! Really cool! Cheers!

  • What's the name of the string instrument used in this song? Also what's the other instrument? Is it a wind instrument or is it another string instrument or even just a synthesizer?

  • Is there anyone who knows where i can find the instrumental for this?

  • China need to fix population problem with eugenics

  • 我从来说话不说 半斤儿。。 不是把所有字都要加er的。。诶。。

  • why people simply discussing the lyrics to a catchy tune turn to finger pointing and name calling over the crimes of a nation is childish, you need to move on just simply stop,,,remembering the pain or the hatred and promise to live a better life to no-one else but yourselves

  • 你可不可以送给我这个歌?

    我很喜欢!

    我可以给你我的email.

    就送给我一个message在youtube.

  • 我找不到這首歌的任何地方!

  • when the sent of jasmine wafts in the tea room of the siheyuan

one forgets all the heat of summer

pour a glass of fine wine as your thoughts wander afar

the senses are drunk with the fragrance of the wine steeped within the hutong alleys

as the sun sets at the corner of the old city wall that echoes with the beat of this toy rattle-drum

this native Beijinger feels a little sad

  • Beijing Natives

  • That's Chinese. If you want I can help u. Cuz Im Chinese :d

  • i have them

  • More than 30 million victims killed by Japanese. And they still deny to apologize to all the crime they've done. So it's really hard to make the average citizen to forgive and forget everything. So if killing ppl is not a big deal, particularly can be denied by the current government of Japan ,we China ppl dont give a fxxk if there is spitting to someone scene in a cartoon MV.

  • Has china apologized for its crimes, that it is like everyone else, certainly not without

  • I can't recall what crime has China done?

  • Lets forget about the past and concentrate on the future

  • the past is important in making sure we shape the future right

  • As if you say so, China has done the crime as evil as Japanese did , you can make a video with disrespect to Chinese, as we done here. It's fair.

  • As an American, I have no room to disrespect China for it's crimes. But that does not dismiss them.

As far as offering this information, there are many who have already done so in great detail. I would suggest seeking this information on your own assuming you are on a internet connection outside of China.

  • fuck'd up language..

  • Well done =]

  • Their accent is so phony its histerical.

I bet their native language is English.

  • no, his name is zhong bo hong and he's from china and he lives in china as a CEO of a video game company. one of the youngest richest chinese men in the region. i understand him perfectly and he's speaking mandarin-so yeah. so much you know.

  • I can't find much information on this singer online. It seems like I can't download or buy any of his music... Why isn't there information on him? He's so good.

  • You are lucky! I'm a Beijing girl. I find some information about the singer. He's name is zhang Bohong. Zhang is surname. In China, we ususlly put surname first, it different from western way. He was born in 80s in Shanghai, but both his parents are Beijinger. He went to US with parents when he was 15. This sang be created unintentionaly during the time he was studying in US, due to the feeling of missing Beijing.

  • I also find MTV of this song. That is a real Beijing in the MV with only a little bit be beautified. You know, it's a MV. Anything will be beautified more or less in MV.

  • Strictly speaking, the langue used in this song is Beijinger, not mandarin. The difference is some specific pronouncation like "er" been widely used in Beijinger. We have few ring road in Beijing city. People lived in 2nd ring road usually are real real Beijinger, probably they lived in same place since many generations ago. For rest of us, the more we speak is mandarin, however, in people' ears who from other regions, we still have Beijing accent.

I hope these information is helpful to U

  • Try looking under the Chinese characters.

  • The storyteller is sad that the city he loves is gradually losing its provincial feel and culture, giving way to a more impersonal, commercialized city, I think?

  • <3 this song. Glad its back. :)

  • it is hard to tell and i have been learing chinese for 2 years know but i think it is about life in beijing

  • Can someone explain me what's song about !?

  • its about native life in china. the simple life.

  • Thanks =D

  • @omgwtfwthlol in Beijing particularly. Other parts are different with both culture and dialect. Anyway, i found it a bit difficult to understand the accent, even i am a native Mandarin speaker.

  • some random things that native beijing residence do in their daily life.very beijinglized. some elements including" hu tong" " tou fu nao" "tou zhi"(which are unique snacks that are particularly popular in beijing)"xiang sheng"... the nusic is also very Chinese, like this style very much=) the song was written and sung by a then 18 year old boy.

  • 很生動!!!

    十分有北京的風味兒!!!

  • You edited the bird's words!! >(

  • maybe to not show that the last person talking to the bird is japanese, cuz this scene orininally was quite racist.

if its edited cuz of this, i ll be glad :-)

  • not racist but patriotic bird

  • spitting at japanese is part of chinese patriotism???

what sort of sick patriotism would that be? it just proves to me that after all patriotism is a mental problem, since it always inspires such things as mentioned.

    my personal theory.

  • thats nothing

  • why is it patriotic to spit at someone? is this what your countrie is about??

  • spit to someone may not be the patriotic. But it's part of the real life in China. You can like it or not but it's true that Japanese is not really welcome in China. If you know what they did in WWII you may understand a little bit.

  • 2nd to comment!

  • It's back!
