And I didn't get to that Catalyst concert but later heard that Satriani was the guitar player. Yet ANOTHER musical regret of mine!

This song was slicker than owl shit, and cooler than a Siberian breeze, and still is. Greg Kihn was my SF idol, in his prime the same time I was living there. I saw him at an Old Waldorf concert. Those were the days, eh Greg?
I loved this song most of all the album, when his Berkeley labelled album came out, I still have a copy (in storage with 1500 other lps I couldnt let go of) and it was either 77 or 78 to answer the question below. It remains one of my all time faves, many thanks for putting it up!!!
Saw Greg year before last @ Rib cook-off in Sparks, NV.. He explained they put this song together while waiting for a delayed flight out of Heathrow, London airport...

The GKB subsquently played concerts in Stockton at least once a year for many years and I saw nearly all of them. Hot stuff! He still plays concerts occasionally, with his son the band.

When I was in the military in Europe all the German girls would hit the dance floor whenever this came on in a club. They just loved it. I had no idea who it was but it sounded exotic and unlike anything else America was putting out back then, so it made me feel exotic too.

This underrated song somehow always escaped inclusion on the multiple "Best of" collections available on CD. Great to hear it here with that sublime guitar riff (and kind of see it). Greg Kihn, release "Next of Kihn" on CD or make its tracks available to eMusic!
I too have searched for this song. THANKS for posting. I lost a lot of great music in a fire and it is so good to hear this. It's one of the first songs I learned to play on my guitar (acoustic). I am now a 53 year old mother of two and I do REMEMBER how it feels, and it feels good to hear this again!
This one has been conspicuously absent from YouTube for far too long - thanks for posting. Best Greg Kihn song ever - before he was an early '80s pop sensation. Great memories of growing up in the Bay Area in the late 1970s - I do remember.
I first heard this in early April 1984, I was in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany with less than 8 weeks left until I was finished

Great classic track. I'll see Greg Kihn at the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk Friday night summer concert series.
This is one of his best songs which I'm looking forward in hearing it performed live. Should be a great concert !!
