Billy is so funny, love the way he is so humerous about his own culture and comfortabledoing so! People take their culture too seriously!! miss you cus
This guy was absolutely superb. I saw him at a live act in Auckland approx 1985 and he had everybody in stitches of laughter. A wonderfully talented musician who had a an amazing voice. I would've paid any amount to see Billy perform live again anywhere.
RIP Billy a sad loss to the entertainment industry.
there's just no way they will show Billy T on MaoriTV - Billy is part of a generation that actually had a sense of humour, enjoyed taking the piss out of their fellow pakeha New Zealanders and was the last of a proud, secure people .. now, its just bullshit and money, the pride, the humour, the mana is gone...
Ha Ha, "hide the perk till after work" is a take off from the "Keep cool till after school" that used to be on after school television then. A Maori dude used to present that if I remember correctly... can't remember who though....
@Stevensolo1 lol. i agree. If you want witty comedy watch Danny Bhoy. lol he's halerious. Hes the one who dose the gecco skit. dispite the fact that hes scottish I dont think i herd any swearing
Awesome Kiwi. The world is a sadder place with him gone. I would be glad to honour his memory by watching these shit quality YouTube vids, laugh at myself from time to time (ignoring standers-by) and remeber to hide the perk till after work.
lol yesterdays forecast. hide the perk till after work, is a piss take of keep cool till after school. from a childrens t.v show that was around at the same time.
what you want me to say? i just prefer the prince . i grew up watching billy t.. his skits are what inspires alot of my screenplays. and i still watch his shows.. do you not like the prince ?
Thank u heaps for posting the videos my Dad and My Uncle passed away 2 yrs ago they were both Maori and they both remind me so much of uncle Billy the way he talks, what he wears, his sense of humour everything LMAO RIP love it
raining and makariri up north and windy and wera down south so if you fullahs live in the middle may as well stay home cause no bloody good anywhere else
a few days ago I saw his last live gig he did "Alive and Gigging" and he used all the favourites learning to speak Japanese he mentioned that Maoris are not accepted as organ donors "why not?" CAUSE THEY WANT THE BLOODY THINGS BACK IN A HUNDRED YEARS TIME MAN lololol
I found a video of the best of Billy T, but it doesn't include much of this sort of (fantastic) stuff he did and it's got too much singing on it. He was a good singer, but I reckon he was a comedian first!
Prince Tui Teka was a larger than life (both physically and entertaining wise) Maori New Zealand entertainer whom was great as a Trumpet player, singer, musician, song writer, and front show host for the Maori Volcanics and later his own shows).
