  • OPERA METAL GODS!!!!

  • the gods of opera

  • Wow, first time ever listening to Therion, and it's beautiful, BEAUTIFUL fucking Metal. One of my favorites now, next to Heidevolk.

  • Sigh...Well anyway..I really enjoy the music that Therion writes and plays. Remember too much light will certainly blind you who begin to quote a Religeous dogma where no one is sure what is the truth. Out there in Creation is Infinite Diversity. So please STFU..ahem pardon the Achronym. Just remember that any person can become a dork by being mentally lazy. So listen to music it can go either way from there..:) Ack..out.

  • Simply beautiful.

  • the beginning of this song sounds like a french army song

    la legion marche

  • @HuitramannGothorum I find that statement kinda ironic since I'm white enough to glow in the dark.

But hey, always fun to meet people who get so butthurt over a youtube video that they need to go and make an ass out of themselves to prove a point. Although I'm not sure what your point was other than that you're a retarded racist bastard. ;D

  • My absolute favourite album from Therion together with Vovin

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WONDROUS!!!

  • who is the male singer?

  • THERION DESDE QUE LLEGASTE A MI VIDA SOY UN FIEL DE TI ATTE EL BIEZ

  • muy buena rola ah

  • I love how "theme-driven" the album secret of the rune is

  • exista si in romania ?oameni care asculta asa arta.. rock on !!

  • WOW

  • 4ndr3iRO lol

  • @netrainerscreencast You clearly do not know history. The Nazis stole huge pieces and symbols from the north paganism religion, or Asatro as the religion itself is called. To call a band which sole source of inspiration is Asatro, is like saying that all Jews are Christians simple because the Christians forged their religion by adding stuff to the Jews teachings and slowly evolving into something different as more religions flowed into it, creating the modern Christianity.

    They are NOT Nazis.

  • @DaKillerSheep you are so right. nazis also stole pieces from ancient Greek culture

  • @DaKillerSheep Asatro ? I've never heard of it, but it sounds interesting. Do you think it has any connection with... Asharoth or Ishtar or Easter ?

  • @TrunkMonkey3000 Asatro, religion of the Vikings, a polytheistic religion which is the basis for a multitude of now considered christian traditions. The word Easter comes from the god of fertility, Ostara. English people called her Eastero, she's symbolized by a Hare and a Egg, which concept also spawned the Easter bunny.

Most of modern fantasy genres also takes their inspiration from Asatro. The Tree of Life, Elves, Trolls, Giants, Gnomes, Dwarves ect. It's kinda famous.

  • This is a SS song lol

  • @CreationMusicale It's a traditional nordic folk melody to which different lyrics have been added over the time, including SS marschiert in Feindesland and this song.

  • Why are you people always arguing about Christianity and Paganism.... Therion has a lot of Luciferian traits and they sign about mythology, and maybe just a few Christian prophecies. If you dont believe in Christianity that`s very foolish, every single prophecy in the bible is accurate. Today our world governments are making statues (idols) devoted to the demons of the old testament. Therion`s symbolism is rife with Luciferian lore. Therion is an amazing band and they sing about my interests.

  • @TrunkMonkey3000 All demons that exists in Christianity is a testament to the blood lust of the Christians. Each demon symbolizes 30 or 40 thousand people massacred because they wouldn't deny their faith and turn to Christianity. The fact that people raise idols in their honor again is a realization that they wish to return to their forefathers religion. It's not satanic worship.

I'm pretty sure therion is only deeply rooted in Asatro, not satanism.

  • @DaKillerSheep I didn't come here to argue. But, Jesus said many will come to slaughter in my name, but they don't know me and they don't know God. The Catholic organization has slaughtered million over the years, but they don't know the Father, their "father" is their own church leaders. They're devils in disguise. Trust no man. Peace.

  • @TrunkMonkey3000 if by the Father, you're refering to the god named Iehova, then I have to decline as I would classify that god as a psychopath as he young because they doesn't do as he tells them to to do. That's a nice god eh? You're free to do as you wish, now do as I say or I kill you.

I'd say I'd rather have a drink and pray to Odin. That other god wants to punish us because a rib woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree. No wonder people think religion is silly.

  • @DaKillerSheep Hey that's fine, worship Odin all you want. That's not going to hurt me. Also, keep on listening to Therion - a band named after Aleister Crowley's name for the Antichrist. Aleister Crowley, who's influenced thousands of entertainers all over our pop culture, and who he himself was a self-proclaimed Satanic child-sacrificing pedophile.

I hope your Odin can save you on judgement day.

  • @TrunkMonkey3000 Well for one. The concept of antichrist comes from a mistranslation of a religious text in which god refers to those who are against Christianity. Nothing more, nothing less.

Actually, the band's name is an homage to the Celtic Frost album To Mega Therion. I doubt they care about the ideology of Crowley.

Odin is a god, a being of power, not my savior. That's silly Christianity talk.

Why would I care about the judgement day if it's not going to happen? ;D

  • Helheim, in Norse mythology, is where mortals not killed in battle go when they die. It is surrounded by the river Gjoll, and is on the very nadir of the Norse universe. Exit from Helheim is granted to none.

  • The melody was used for many local SS songs, including the Norwegian "På vikingtokt". It is not called "på vikintog" as many belive, this is a spelling error.

This is not the estonian SS version.

  • In Estonia this tune is known as "Song about devil" or "Song about soldier of scull". During WWII it was song of Estonian battallion Narwa.

  • @Monk90222

This is a nice cover of about 70-80 year old SS song.. :)

  • @j2ger

    or this one: zwJy2EseZp4

  • Totally awesome...its like an armada......very powerful!!!!!

  • i love this song

  • In the 1:25 is the best part.

  • fantastickéééé!!!!

  • Treceti Batalioane !!

  • o yeha midgarð

  • The original song is called "Pa Vikingtod" and you can hear it here: e1rUjP3wBkA

There is also a German version, but the original belongs to the Norge Waffen SS and dates back to the mid 30's.

I was amazed at first when I heard the Therion version, it is identical, even the lyrics, although there's no credits for this song specified.

  • The resemblance to other military wartime songs throughout Europe is of course easy to find, but only in rhythm, as most if not all military march songs have the same pace, this is what identifies among others the military music.

  • @Moonsblood

Song of The 20th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Estonian)

    search yJrFA6jmxGw

  • @karumaru600 no, it isnt.

  • @zimmypup21 stfu

  • @galatonim no >:p

  • @zimmypup21 yes the heavy metal live!!!!!!

  • wonderful!

  • I ADORE therion

  • @Monk and WesternImperium - I am allowed to give my opinion, wherever I so choose. What you American kids think about that is none of my concern. I just felt like putting my opinion out there - I am allowed to post a comment, no law against it. So take it or leave it - you guys may choose to ignore my comments too, no?

  • Therion is perfection.....

  • also to add... my icon is none of your particular concern... if you don`t like it just close the window .

  • The correct title for this song is Helheim. I would also like to add that, as a worshipper of the norse gods.. I don't agree with your icon.

  • @Beatrisu and as also a worshiper of the Norse Gods, I agree with his icon. Who asked you for your opinion?

  • Why is "trash" one of the tags for this video?

  • therion .....excellent band }:-)

  • tu avatar es un asco. que tienen que ver los nazis con la musica. flaco sos un gil. estas mezclando la mitologia nordica con los nazis. idiota!!!

  • I AM IN LOVE OF THERION YEAAAA:d

  • I cried listening to this. It's just beautiful.

  • Awsome band = Awsome songs

    This song is indeed awsome!

I Think im in love with therion

  • Mi se pare mie sau este inspirat din "Treceti batalioane romane carpatii"?

  • Asa este...

  • @Monk90222 Romani ?

Gusturile inca exista in tara !

  • @4ndr3iRO or "SS marschiert in Feindesland "

  • @4ndr3iRO

    Asemanarea este izbitoare,

    Vezi clipul 3OwbPKjBfzA

Foarte tare !

  • one part of the song is identical with Polish soldier song "Piechota"

  • Funny, the intro sounds verry much like "ss marchiert im feindes Land" (pure coincidently, I'm sure) , a hit from the early 1940's.

In French translation often sung/sang by the French Foreign Legion (with new verses of course).

  • I just noticed the same thing. O_o

  • It's not just the intro, the majority of the vocal lines are the EXACT same melody as the vocal lines from SS Marchiert im feindesland. Both the verses AND the chorus. This is NOT a coincidence, it's either a tribute or plagiarism. Nice song anyway.

  • nope. the nsdap - song (just like the communist version) uses the same melody from the jugendbewegung. As far as I know that song was inspired by the german farmermovement. Since Hel was rooted as Holle into germans rural cults I think its barely political in this term, rather remembering the oppression from aristocrats and vatikan.. but that is of course only my oppionion based on clues..

  • @boerkenaasvzw

    "pure coincidently, I'm sure"

    don't make me laugh!

  • you're an idiot its a sweedish band about norse mythlogy just cause they dont sing about gay christianity doesnt mean they are santanists

  • @Coloradoviking88 I like Samba Pa Ti a lot too......

  • @Coloradoviking88 "Gay Christians" slaughtered them off afterwards ^^

I love this song, and I also think it's foolish to call them "Satanists" ô.o But I'd please ask you for some respect. There are also "gay Christians" which adore this song and Norse mythology.

    Best greetings! (:

  • @GenossinAyla

regardless, if you are actually a believing christian something is wrong with you

  • @ilovesoda With all respect - I have never heard a more ridiculous comment. I have great respect for Paganism, but not for ignorants.

    Have a nice day (:

  • @Coloradoviking88 Why you bother replying to cunts?! xD

  • ♥

  • Straordinaria

  • where is the animation video with this song??? can someone help, it was really beautiful!!!! write me if you know anything. gracias.

  • LIKE THIS .....OR MORE PERFECT

  • Therion is made of awesome.

  • The composition has a very distinct Eastern-Europian trademarks. I highly doubt it is of Norse origin.

  • Indeed the composition has nothing to do with Norse culture. However the lyrics are inspired from Norse Legends. Actually the song seems to be a tribute to the goddess Hel. She is said to have created the 9 dark realms in the world of ice. She is regarded as the goddess of death but also fulfillment, birth and rebirth.

  • wtf!! birth and rebirth? however hope therion keep it right away

  • i love this song

  • Ah le chant du diable remixé... que du bonheur

  • Only one 'l' in Helheim.

    love this tune

  • For as far as i found out...the sound is actualy copied from a romanian tradtional army anthem wich was used by the romanian army throughout the frst world war :D

  • The nazis also used it in "SS marschiert ins Feindesland". Christofer Johnsson claimed that it is an old Scandinavian folk song, but I have found no support for that claim.

  • watch?v=YSWhDDM-Qfg

    You're right.

  • That is correct! The song is "Treceti batalioane romane carpatii" Look it up

  • @Monk90222 then maybe the Nazis copied it too? "SS marschiert in Feindesland" also sounds the same.

  • @Monk90222 its the SS march

  • @CreationMusicale i know dude

  • @Monk90222 SS marschiert in Feindesland

  • @Monk90222 really ? WOW ^^ were can i hear that ?

  • @Monk90222 I'd rather say inspired :)

  • @Monk90222 So provide the original song pls

  • que excelente cancion....

  • Might want to put "Helheim" in the tags. It was difficult to find this track on Youtube.
