Strange.. In 10 years of using SMART Boards with both Macs and PCs, I have never had a Mac 'freeze and get bricked'. If they do for you... then PEBKAC.

@mountainferal I'm not a Mac hater, that was more a joke. I just personally feel restricted when using one. Macs are more user friendly, and stable , yes, but if you want to go ahead and do REALLY advanced stuff, a Mac will only hold you back. A Windows based comp is tougher to use for the normal person, but when in the hands of an experienced user (like myself) you can do 20x more than on a Mac.

Check out the ACtivboard which was designed for a classroom, with student centered learning as opposed to this "Smart" board that was designed for a board room "presentation". Promethean makes a better "Board" called Activboard.

We have a smart board in our class and board room talks is only one use for it, There's a whole education line of software for PC and Mac. I checked out the activboard at another school and quite frankly the smart board is better

We have these in almost every classroom of our school. There's really no problem with them since we see them every day, so they're nothing interesting to us. And how would this have anything to do with laptops? You can play games and draw pictures on laptops also..
