microsoft user interface being mainly black saves a lot of battery when compared to iphone's mainly white ui.

@Rawse7 On OLED screens (like on many windows phones) black will save power. iPhone is a normal LED screen where the white light is always on, so having a black UI on the screen will not save battery.

I think Windows Phone is cool, but the browser comparison was unfair because the operating systems were outdated. Look at this video: /watch?v=EXnllb-EiSU and skip to 1:35. iOS 5 has hardware acceleration and is even a hair faster than WP7.

It does look nice, but Android is still on top. Iphone's market place is the best, which is a big part of mobile phones. Android's is getting there, and it will probably pass up iPhone. But Windows Phone could get there market place there, I give it a few years before I consider getting a Windows Phone.

But i want to say this i am not running this phone down what so ever its a great phone to use but microsoft said when i bought the phone that they would listen to me and you and put in what we want in the phone (great idea)yes but that did and wont by the look of things be happening .If i want to play a file it says not supported i want it to say would you like to download the file that makes it play?

sadly multitasking is annonying on windows phone, but the annoying thing is that i have the 1st gen samsung focus and the home, back, and search button are all touch sensitive so when i play fruit ninja, my hand is usally on those touch buttons and always screws up my gqme and then when i go back it feels like forever getting back into the game. i wish it had phisical buttons

One big complain about most of the windows phones out there no expandable memory. I have HTC radar and I would love for somebody to give me a solution to the limited memory problem. Otherwise I am amazed by windows mango.

WP7 looks like its difficult to get at first, but is ultimately easier. one thing that would be nice to see is customizability, they need this to compete with android. being able to make each tile its own colour and say what you want it to would be nice. MS is really trying hard with WP, so it looks promising. if it keeps getting major updates like this its only a matter of time before its ahead of android.

Windows Phone seems like a promo for existing microsoft products, but it doesn't really appeal to developers. For people who likes to try startups like Path, it would takes months to get it for their phones, because the developers don't see values in it. Or Instagram, they have an alternative called Bubblegum, but that doesn't come with the same community that Instagram has.

@TheAzureFish Internet Explorer has never used W3C standards. Every other widely known browser does. As a web developer, i must say that it's a pain in the a55 to make good looking websites. When i make the "perfect" layout with HTML and CSS, when i browse it with IE, it looks like a russian salad! Then i have to get back to the code and do a lot of workarounds so it can be shown on IE. Chrome always used separate processes to each tab. IE took like 2 years to copy it.
