Greeting, Nice video, What power level where you guys running? It was hard to see the meter readings. I have the same rig and looking for a portable ant system for QRP work and run the unit off of the internal batteries. I see most videos every one is running on external power of some sort.
Ah, I see now: not traps, but inductors, made 'variable' by a movable tap. Adjustments made also by extending or retracting the elements. Making something like that should be easy :)
Excellent video, this is exactly what I have been looking for on here for ages. About to get back on the air after a 5 year break and was thinking of exactly the same set up you guys have there. Excellent.
One question, what tripod/mast was you using for the buddipole? I didnt look like the one the manufacturer supplies.
Great video. I've been using a Buddipole for a few months with a Kenwood TS-2000. Just bought my FT-897D a few days ago and looking forward to using it in the field. 73, Ned, N8OIF

A buddipole looks like a trapped dipole, for which bands? 20 and 15 metres?
freddo27 3 years ago
You can use the buddipole from 40 to 10 mtr!
And by setting the cable on different places you can tune this dipole...
Thanks for watching.

P.S...one half of the buddipole should function well as a vertical fed against ground, a car, or radials
