and im not talking about covers i personally love their covers including this song but it was just the comment about not knowing it was a cover that pushed me to reply... because alot of fans don't know alot of the songs that were covers or at least a play on another song with different lyrics caress me down being a good example of one of those songs.

doing something different like coming up with your own sound not borrowing from others... its not a bad thing just i think they are given too much credit. listen to stevie wonder and wonderlove thats a real fucking band. im a fan of sublime i am i have all their shit but i remember getting older in high school and being exposed to more reggae and old motown stuff and every once in awhile coming across a rhythm bass line or riff that i thought was awesome turning out to be someone else
