Suppose he did turn this into a profitable little operation? Good for him. I respect art, and I don't think it's right for society expect artists to live in squaler. I just don't think it's his style to go into real advertising. But that would be weird
I love the fact that this dumbass got picked up by the police and he's so frustrated that he's been exposed as some guy named Henry that he's issuing press releases in the third person saying "That wasn't me." Here's what'll happen: Some agency will throw a bunch of money at him to do a piece for their campaign (likely Absolut), he'll jump at it, become exactly what he claims he hates, and all of you fans of his will be confused and conflicted and not sure what you should think. Mark my words.
Well said 'Poster Boy' , the message in this video should be taught in school, right and wrong can and does exist outside of the law. Some people interpret the message as it's okay to break the law but personally I see the 'law' as any opressive body; sometimes watching people I think it looks like they're on a conveyor belt to a big stripping machine, and on the way out they're fitted with a standard issue, one size fits all persona. Here's one person that's too big for that :P Stay cool x
I wonder if this dude is really as committed to effecting social change as he would have us believe. If this is his first, best vehicle for change, than he isn't looking hard enough. Remember in your pink bubble of artistry, your self-proclaimed "martyrdom", that as you make YOUR art, you DESTROY the art of another. I hope you walk the walk and don't just love the lifestyle of the outsider, and the curious superiority complex it creates in some people.
There is no such thing here as "superiority complex" blahsome psychobubble you've been taught in your college dan. This is art: take it or leave it to someone with enough balls to make it visible. This is what art's all about nowadays: Visibility. He is a great artist.

damn it got to be some white people complaining about him doin what he do! yaw some haters! if you dont like da shit protest or try to protect every little ad you see! LMAO!! the ads are nothin but some propaganda to get you to overpay for something that they get real cheap. just think about it. its not that serious. get a real life haters!
I work full time and I am a full time student, that means I spend roughly $8.00 a day on a deplorable transit system that is as unreliable as Fox News Gaza/Isreal coverage. Thats EIGHT frick-frackin DOLLARS!!!
Why should I subject my eyes and mind to an invasion of Michelob Light, Trolman Glasir & Lichtman, Dr.Zizmor, ABCs fall line up ads if I ALREADY PAID MY FARE TO TAKE ME FROM POINT A -> POINT B???
Poster Boy, I not only commend you for your work, but I appreciate it.
Do you think today's society is perfect? Do you think today's law is perfect? Do you REALLY think the law works for corrupt politicians or for people with money? If we don't change, the world won't ever change. Oh! And Media sucks! They only show what they want us to see!
true, many laws are created to control certain people or to keep certain people in power, the government is controlled by people with money and laws are created to keep those people rich and in power plus the mass media is controlled by only FOUR companies... Zeitgeist ....look it up
Nope. But I don't think that's a reason for him to hurt other people who aren't making the laws.
If he has a problem, maybe he should start hurting the people who actually are responsible for making the laws. Stop hurting the people who aren't the problem. That just creates more civil unrest.
If I'm angry that I got a parking ticket for no reason (and I've gotten plenty of unjustified tickets here), I'm not going to deface a local building or damage an unrelated property. That's not right.
Who has he hurt? No one. Our environment is so plauged by corporate images, coersing us to smoke, drink, and buy shit that we don't need. That is far more harmful to us and the earth. What he is saying is "that's my wall also! and I am going to use that space to send a message." I couldn't bare to live in a world where everyone follows the rules because they are afraid to question authority. The greatest movements in history (civil rights, sufferage, etc.) started with civil unrest. It's healthy

I love his lame logic. "People shouldn't be afraid to break laws." I'm a law abiding citizen of NYC and I hope that he gets arrested.
You're "poor and disenfranchised" because you need a job that isn't about destroying property in this city.
