In response to the audience and any who might have a negative outlook on it. We are conditioned to believe that we should be quiet and "respectful" during a live performance such as a play or musical. That is true if people are talking about something other than the performance at hand, however the reaction of this audience is EXACTLY what theater is meant to elicit. In the times of Shakespeare, they used to throw garbage at the actors on stage. She is getting nothing but love! It is a response.
I wasn't going to say anything about some of the negative comments.I will say this. When the Spirit of the Lord is present, praises goes up. Emotions are high.Not only were the young ladies showing emotions, the whole audience was to. They actually had a church service just in this one song. Every time i play this video, tears fall down my cheeks. Fantasia has an anointing in her singing.No apologies necessary.

This is wrong. I think that cheering in an actress' final performance is inevitable but screaming and shouthing remarks as well as singing along (loudly) is not behaviour that should be present in any theatrical show. What annoys me most is how they are cheering for Fantasia, they should be cheering for Celie, her character, not the actress. The Color Purple tells Celie's story not Fantasia's.
I found you all to be hilarious! I have sisters and friends who would have probably been annoyed by you as well, but probably would have drowned you out with our own noise. LOL... Just browsing for some Fantasia videos and hit this one. If these two ladies were at a concert, I would say that was 'interesting' feedback. However, considering that they were attending a Broadway play, it's embarrassing. I know it's an emotional play, however, to react in this way is ignorant. They could have shown their appreciation for the entertainment while maintaining respect for themselves and the other theater patrons. KIds, this is how NOT to behave at a play or possibly anywhere.

i've been in a lot of shows and though they weren't broadway, there is nothing more that makes me want to do better than an enthusiastic crowd. If you had a problem with the yelling and quality of the video you should have saved up your pennies and saw the show yourself. Fantasia is an AMAZING singer and actress and as you can here through the WHOLE video it's not just the girls recording yelling, so there could have been white, black, or hispanic people anybody. Fantasia is amazing point blank.

I am a lover a music. I can truly relate to being caught up in the moment by what the artist is singing and/or how they are singing. However, there is a time and place for everything. With that being said excessive talking and screaming is simply not advisable at a Broadway show. AND video recording is certainly not advisable. This is so embarrassing!
@kharigs I have to say while I enjoyed listening to fantasia sing, excuse me sanggggggggggg, I dont think it is appropriate to record and scream at a broadway show. When on that stage she is Celia not Fantasia, I would save that for a Fantasia concert. I can say I would be just as excited as they were though, Fantasia voice is simply blessed!

I went to see TCP, Ms Fantasia was not there.... Yet the performance was still the best ever. But, I do agree that the videography was not the best, but we don't know what these women been through. well i saw Fantasia FRONT ROW CENTER in new york in 07 ...or was it 06? ha...i can't remember exactly...it was September is all i remember....and she was beyond amazing and i felt what people must have felt when seeing Jennifer Holiday sing AND I AM TELLING YOU live in Dreamgirls in 1982 ....so these two bitches who keep talking are annoying ...but we owe them props for recording this video so we can all see this good shit :D

Just browsing for some Fantasia videos and hit this one. If these two ladies were at a concert, I would say that was 'interesting' feedback. However, considering that they were attending a Broadway play, it's embarrassing. I know it's an emotional play, however, to react in this way is ignorant. They could have shown their appreciation for the entertainment while maintaining respect for themselves and the other theater patrons. KIds, this is how NOT to behave at a play or possibly anywhere.

You guys are funny!! I did go see the Color Purple in Austin. The young lady who played Celie did a good job but she didn't tear this song up. Fantasia has so much emotion in her singing and she lives this song and you can feel it. Seems like she took ya'll to church and that is alright with me! Hopefully I can see her performance and enjoy her singing this song! Also, I would have been saying, "girl you betta sang it " and talking like you all were!!LOL

i've been in a lot of shows and though they weren't broadway, there is nothing more that makes me want to do better than an enthusiastic crowd. If you had a problem with the yelling and quality of the video you should have saved up your pennies and saw the show yourself. Fantasia is an AMAZING singer and actress and as you can here through the WHOLE video it's not just the girls recording yelling, so there could have been white, black, or hispanic people anybody. Fantasia is amazing point blank.

I am a lover a music. I can truly relate to being caught up in the moment by what the artist is singing and/or how they are singing. However, there is a time and place for everything. With that being said excessive talking and screaming is simply not advisable at a Broadway show. AND video recording is certainly not advisable. This is so embarrassing!

@kharigs I have to say while I enjoyed listening to fantasia sing, excuse me sanggggggggggg, I dont think it is appropriate to record and scream at a broadway show. When on that stage she is Celia not Fantasia, I would save that for a Fantasia concert. I can say I would be just as excited as they were though, Fantasia voice is simply blessed!

I went to see TCP, Ms Fantasia was not there.... Yet the performance was still the best ever. But, I do agree that the videography was not the best, but we don't know what these women been through. My first instinct was to complain, but for someone to risk going to jail for being caught with a cam to bring this to us.... The haters should stop hating. Maybe your cheap tails should have bought a ticket to see her yourself.
