Yeah, the gaming press in general is hating on this game. Whether its because they'd rather have a guns, a cover mechanic and hi-def graphics or they expected Nintendo to completely reinvent the Animal Crossing wheel, they're all just out of touch.

This is a great game. The sales will tell the critics what they can't see.

I read somewhere that the fountain well be built in your town after you donate enough money to the town, or something like that. :)

@ Qwerty2kn8 - Dōbutsu no Mori e+ was one of three Animal Crossings in Japan for our one in NA. They had Dōbutsu no Mori, Dōbutsu no Mori +, Dōbutsu no Mori e+. e+ came after ours. They are basically the same game... minor differences

Actually that would be e+ which came after our AC... I didn't think they added this back since Redd was in charge of it, but maybe they did...

So you're saying that in Animal Crossing e+ in Japan, you could add permanent landmarks to your town? And what do you mean by "Redd was in charge of it"? Do you mean that if you asked Redd, he would put up things like fountains in your town?

Maybe it is just the wishing well with a more updated look.

I didn't know that the AC Japan for GC had any extra features from its US counterpart. Hmm . . . What else could you put up? Are there any other extra features you could tell me about?

Redd ran a little store where you could buy what I call "outdoor furniture" like lights, scenery, etc. I don't know if it was permanent though... e+ also had pictures, like this video... so that's something that got carried over.
