Hi there, that's a very nice model. Your design inspired me to make one out of Acrylic too. Can you tell me, is the center shaft made from magnetic metal?
The magnetic field from the support magnets on the base must be cutting the coil winding on the rotor. Otherwise ..no go. It is meticulously made and well balanced too.
