Death Note has to be the most deep and compelling series out there. It's so confronting and really challenges societies beliefs. It has such strong morals, I swear it's so realistic it could be a true story! (well, I guess the closest you could compare Kira to is Hitler) Still, love L, love Death Note!:D

I think that the minute L revealed himself to Light, the game was over. Ever since then, and a bit before that, L had suspicions of Light being Kira. He never once truly believed him innocent, he only wanted to think that he was. Ever since then L had been constantly setting the ground work for his successors, Mello and Near, and even Matt who was the third or forth most likely to succeed as L. Near and Mello truly ended this, but couldn't have done it without L's huge effortsR.I.P L,Mello&Matt

@Deathnoteluvr021 Nooo, BB looks like L! He copied his style and even some of his mannerisms because he was sort of jealous of L and his success. He tried to eat like him too but found it was difficult so he stuck to strawberry jam. He was also born with shinnigami eyes O_O

Well it is possible that Kira could have lived.

The death note states that if two people share the same name they would be unaffected by the Death Note. If Light had a child with Misa and named him/her after himself then not even a death god could take his life. Eliminating his ultimate down fall. With some medical care, maybe from someone who happened to see him and called 911, he could of lived.

@Madmanlaughing No, you must have a name and a face to kill using the notebook. That way, only the person you are envisioning as you write the name is affected. Other people with light's name would be unaffected because they have different faces, not because they share Light's name. No one, to my knowledge, is immune to the death note, except maybe a shinigami...

I found this rule, He/She who puts Chuck Norris' name in the Death Note shall die and instanly turned to dust, so perhaps Chuck is immune. I agree that the DN made him crazy, but I don't find him evil at all. The only thing he is guilty of is assuming that ALL criminals are evil, and, to an extent, they are. Light only wanted two things. 1, to ease his own boredom. And 2, to make the world a better place. Just think of it as picking up litter. GO LIGHT! PRO KIRA!

Hmn. I somewhat agree.

Kira wasn't particularly /evil/. Just insane. He was an idealistic to the state of lunacy, and was raised in a way to make him believe he was self-righteous. He didn't believe in democracy (nor did L, to be honest), and that he himself could cleanse the world-- which is a good intention, but impossible through one person.

Kira is like... Marx. With communism, you know. Because communism, in its purest form, is a brilliant idea. It's just carried out stupidly.

hm good point. i think he is evil, even if not completely evil. because in his own mind he was doing good. but there are flaws to his reasoning: his idea of a perfect world is not the same as everyone elses, even people that arent evil, and not every person who commits a crime is evil. he doesnt know the thoughts or lives of the people hes killing hes not a god and humans cant understand divine judgement- its divine. i think his biggest flaw is that he is too righteous, and the dn made him crazy
