  • I had bought this game around 2001 or 2002,when it came out and I tried to play it on my first computer back then but it wouldn't work. Then I lent it to some people and now I don't remember who has it.I never got to play it!

  • well, i dont have ati graphic. What do i do now?

  • @jesseabrown1993 its from 2004 Xo they based the game more on books...... Shire part is

    by far the best

  • @Insubordinate90 I owned the game once, and still I remember the best tactic to avoid the wraiths. Always stay in the shadows, distract the wraiths and only move when they have passed. Throw the rocks as far as you can, it will buy you valuable escape time. Go somewhere far from the wraith's eyesight to avoid being caught. It worked for me, I'm sure it'll work for you. :)

  • The concept of this game was great. It's what I wanted; an experience of the actual journey through middle earth. Unfortunately, it wasn't well executed, but I'll put that down to lack of budget; for any fan of the book it's definitely got some charm.

To the poster of the vid - ROTK was a great game. Sure, it was based entirely on the movies and played pretty much like an action game with no real soul, but it was still fun as hell. The Southern Gate is one my favourite levels in ANY game.

  • I agree with you on this one COBAttack; this game is more satisfying to play through than the other two that were just hack n slash LOTR movie extensions. The fact that Tom Bombadill is in it, is enough for me! :> He was cut from the movie( along with The Old Forest & Barrow Downs ), AND the audio book that I found (?!), but the people who made this game new what they were doing. I enjoyed this on the original Xbox very much.

  • this is the best lord of the rings game ever

  • the two towers and return of the king those games rocked

  • @jesseabrown1993 The fellowship of the ring game is by Sierra. Others are by Electronic Arts.

  • I love this game, so many memories, and I love it becuase it's not shite and so heavy laden with Peter Jackson's influence, it's origional and sticking to the true stroy. In my opinion, the only one of the LOTR games that is playable

  • 00:47 Micheal jackson

  • Terrible absolutely terrible

  • @Javjean Fuck.You.

  • @KatanaNOOBY

The Two Towers is where it's at!

And you know it has a really epic amount of incongruous material in comparison with the movie.

  • i have the game 4 sum reson the laptop won't recognize the disc even if its properly clean.

  • @jesseabrown1993 to answer your question this game was not a movie based game the company that made this one was making the game to be based off of the book not the movie trilogy. two towers and return of the king are movie based games made by EA (not the company that made FOTR) and they where basing these games off of the movies NOT the books.

  • @jesseabrown1993 it's amazing.. I've lost count of how many times I've read it lol

  • i once tried to play this game myself. i got very near the end, but accidentally saved it at a really bad spot. so every time i tried to load, i died. it SUCKED!!!!

  • @jesseabrown1993 it's based itself on the books and not the movies

the book is different in so many ways

  • how do u get this game running on new pcs?

  • @harrytwood

if you have ati graphic cards then you shouldnt have any problems with the game.

  • @COBAttack i got ati...but on nVidia download 3danalyzer....somewhere in the program has a box "LOTR textures fix" click it and run the game through that program! AND PLAYS!! i did it on my old pc with nVidia graphics card

  • @COBAttack on NVIDIA needs a specific program.3d analyzer from tommisystems....try it! IT WORKS FOR MY PC WITH 9400GT!

  • @Agnwstosmc and on GT220 as i remember correctly...

  • @Agnwstosmc ah a last tip...that game can be played well in on-board graphic cards...at least 512 MB

  • @harrytwood Or u could just download 3D-Analyze and check the box "LOTR texture fix" that works

  • @harrytwood download 3danalyzer and hit the "LOTR Textures fix" button...then select the game and run it... NO BLACK SCREEN ANYMORE!!!!!! i did the same thing!

  • i bought this @ a pc store 5 years ago wen i was 10

  • @jesseabrown1993 yeah it could be that or maybe that this was made based on the book

  • @jesseabrown1993 This is based on the book.

  • help please i got LOTR FOTR FOR PC and when i start up the game the screene stays black please help me

  • @kallnimin343 Try pressing alt + f4

  • @jesseabrown1993 It is because its based off the book and not the movie

  • I had this. It was virtually unplayable on my laptop due to lag. Then when I finally got a new computer I found out the install disk was scratched :(

  • thanks for making these videos no one has made a upload but u thanks again

  • @jesseabrown1993

Yea and its way better than the ROTK game. In this game FOTR there is even Tom Bombadil ;) XD

I wish that other two games could be same that this one (FOTR)

ROTK is just freaken arcade with almost no story... just faces are same than the fa<ces of actors in the movie...

  • @COBAttack Man, that's bullshit. Return of the King knows what it is. It's a game based on an action-adventure movie and it kicks ass. People were tricked into buying this game because they thought it's a movie based game(and why wouldn't they?it came soon after the FOTR) and later they realised it's a very poor game adaptation of a great classic novel.

My recommendation: Don't buy this game, save your money and instead go to a library and lend The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien.

  • @tomaspeverell

dont take this personal, but u are kinda stupid. If you think that ROTK is good game you must be stupid or just ill.

  • @COBAttack Why? It's not a masterpiece, but it isn't a horrible game. It's enjoyable at least. LOTR: Conquest is an awful game while The Battle for Middle-Earth is a real masterpiece. ROTK falls somewhere in between.

  • @COBAttack hmmm i have to agree with u about his stupidity... he knows basicly nothing :/.... he basicly says "if it isnt movie based it isnt as good".... and says this game came AFTER the movie......... LOL....... then i would like him to explain to me why i had this game a while back b4 the movie came out

  • @COBAttack

People taking it personal about game tastes, and insulting each other over something which is entirely subjective

    mmkay

  • @COBAttack ROTK is considered to be one of the best movie-based games ever made, and was critically praised by critics and fans alike.

  • @COBAttack

DAMN FUCKING RIGHT! There just isn't a story, only stressful fighting ALL the time. And the missions are so linear as well! What what happened to the scenery of the second one?

  • did you buy it online?

  • @JJannemo

no, i bought it in store. i bet u could find it online too.
