Go question, the easy answer is No but we are sure that somebody has found a hack to do this, although we have never tried.

The KF510 uses specific lighting technology to perform that animation but it would be cool to see it on the KF600.

Yes the UK version is different from the US. Verizon have restricted a lot things on the Venus more than the UK operators.

Unfortunately you can not install/add any more themes to this handset and the barcode reader software is not a feature on this handset unless you can find a Java one as most are based around the Symbian S60 software.

Menu > (8) Profiles > Personalise > (7) InteractPad & Key feedback > (1) InteractPad & Key Tones > Off

Yes you can change the ringtones to MP3 ones by doing the following:

Menu > (8) Profiles > Personalise > (2)Ringtones > Select MP3 Folder

The only tones you can't change is the messaging tones :(

The feature you are reffering to is called Video Tone which will as you say above play a video when that person calls you.

Unfortunately this handset does not support this feature how the Viewty and Secret do :)

Well, we have had this phone from launch and have only had it freeze once or twice but nothing out of the ordinary with other manufacturers.

The MP3 player is ok not as advanced as the Sony Ericsson Walkman range but still ok. You can choose from preset graphical equalizers but can not have a customzied one, it shows album art and you can create playlists.

Strangely enough with this handset you can't unfortunately. We think this is only appliacable to the European variant rather than the US.

Regarding your query, unfortunately the music player is not as advanced as the Sony Ericsson Walkman range. The only options you have is to create playlists.

To change your message tone you will need to go into your profiles menu option and select one of the 10 preset tones.

To get to the profiles menu do the following:

Menu > Profiles (8) > Personalise > Message Tones (5)

Or if you have the Profile key on your front shortcut screen then just tap that icon - looks like a speaker with sound coming out! :)

Yes you are right our version is a UK variant with generic software.

I assume you are from the US and properly have the Verizon variant which is some respects completely different as Verizon have some of their own software and menu systems.

Being honest not really, the handset performs well as a mobile phone.

There were a couple of things but not major ones:

(1) - You can not choose the memory card as the recieving default option if you are recieving things via bluetooth. However considering the handset has 25MB internal i'm not sure you would want to be recieving a file of that size via bluetooth.

The alternative is to use the mass storage facility which will allow you direct access to storing things on the memory card

(2) - Unfortunately you can only choose from a 10 message tones and won't be able to choose your own MP3's or video recordings. However the preset ones are okay!

(3) - The memory card slot is under the battery which means it's not 'hot swapable' if you wanted to quickly switch memory cards you have to turn the phone off then remove the battery, etc etc. - not a major issue for the average users!

That's all we have come across in some of our testing however there are plenty of good things about this handset!
