the first time i watched this cutscene and i saw cortana it creeped me out. i saw something like that in real life once. it was the scariest thing ever and her floating like that brings that memory back to me. EHHH

I think that the cortana hologram was made by Spark in order to get MC to press that button.

no its simple the new installation 04 is unfinished and activating it will destroy it and the ark which the chief does killing all the flood and the rest of the covenant

Annoying oversight probably...

Of course it could mean that forerunner tech has slowly been researching on it's own through the millennia and figured out how to work the rings into killing flood.

There's the finally... most likely, explanation. Wording by Spark. Spark could very well mean the local "infestation" of Humans and Covenant. Which would leave the Flood stranded on the Ark to starve.

I think Spark was refering to the flood. Besides, there is other life on the Ark such as birds and whatever else. I think he understood what their plan was: "Light fuse, run away."

this scene has a kind of humbling feel to it. You get to see your destroyed "foe" rise again. And so quickly. 1 year after you destroyed it.

Next time I get my 360 to my dads. It shouldn't take me long to run through Cortana and Halo to get the scenes, then play the end on Legendary for the final ending. I couldn't get it for tomorrow, so I guess I can't get it until like Wednesday, sorry.
