  • everything good with this band and their music is perfect but makes me really sick this christian and religious stickness...nooooo guys.....no religions needed to mankind, there are all manipulators and they try to control minds and keep people blind...nooooooo.......

  • a wonderfull song. and a good show. Erik Claytons voice is really great.

  • Babylon as used in The Book of Revelations is a metaphor for confusion a.k.a. spiritual darkness. The devil loves nothing more than confuse us about who and what God really is. That confusion will one day be destroyed. That simple.

  • He is writing 9/11-01 on the flag, the date when Alkaida terrorists destroy the twin towers in NY

  • @TBSoffical Horrible day. I only wish I could have done something about it. (PS - it's Al Qaeda. ;) )

  • I love this song!!! saciour machine is one of the best bands ever!!!

  • They will puzzle the apostles until the end !

    Very nice all blessings

  • 9/11/01

  • What does he write on the flag?

  • 9/11 -01

He might be referring to it as a judgement upon America (for being Babylon).

Another interpretation would be that he's saying "The government did it!", but I hope that's not it.

  • @Hrugnir Thankyou :)

I love all his imagery, brilliant :)

  • This is really before most of those conspiracy crazies started blaming Bush. So probably this was his way of a memorial to the event.

  • Babylon was also an example of an aggressively expanding empire that collapsed. "History is history."

  • @Hrugnir America is still Babylon in my opinion. It's fulfilling the prophecies of Babylon of Revelation. (Also, we are like the Harlot in Revelation as well.)

  • @Hrugnir Babylon is a spirit according to the book of "Apokalupsis or Revelation."Or the Antichrist...

  • @samlewis45 : 9/11.01 The day Alkaida terrosists destroyed the twin towers in NY

  • @samlewis45 )9/11-01 date of terror in NY, Twin towers got destroyed

  • When I listen to Saviour Machine it's with somewhat mixed feelings. You see, I'm not a christian, far from it, I'm an atheist. However, I REALLY love his voice and combined with the rest of the music, the results are awesome. So the trick for me is to listen to the lyrics as a story and not as a religous message.

(Same goes for as when I listen to band as Dimmu Borgir and other bands with a satanic background. And, yes I know... Can't compare Eric with a growler. But I don't!)

  • do you ever hear a song and think to yourself...

"I dont need to try and say that anymore"

EC has done it again....this is a beauty we rarely get the privledge to witness....thank you Eric

Your deliverence from cancer is in my prayers

  • I totally forgot Eric had cancer. Do you know the latest news?

This guy is 1 in a lifetime.

  • he uploaded a video on youtube and the website about it! just type in his name!

  • I thought he had GERD, not cancer?

  • Die Wahrheit kann so schön verpackt sein!

    Grüße an alle Christen,

greets to all brothers and sisters!

  • Where's Stevie Ray?

  • this man / band is using their talents to lift up Chrikst... and warn the world against slipping into a Christless eternity. i applaud them and encouage them . the goth trappings are original and creative .

  • i love the video at 5:56

it warms my heart to see people worship christ!

makes it even better when it's my gothic brothers and sisters!

  • I aint a goth, but this band really has a way of pulling you in, I love Christian metal bands like Mortification, Believer and Stryper. But this band is pretty classy and original.

  • By the way, I don't worship Eric :P

He seems like a cool guy, and hes an amazing singer with an excellent message, but I don't worship him.

  • Allow me to clarify myself on my comment about Eric being a prophet. I was meaning how close these lyrics seem to corilate to the modern situation in America. And I don't really think Obama is the antiChrist, Son of Perdition, and all that. I mean, he could be, but I really said that as a bit of imagery for how bad he is for our country.

  • i don't put Eric on the pedestal. I respect his contribution to the band but to me its Nathan Van Hala that pushed Saviour Machine to the next level. And Eric seems to know it considering the fact that before Nathan SM was a guitar based band and ever since Nathan they have been more piano based. I've loved these guys those ever since buying the Intense label version of the first album.

  • It's comments like the one below that make me wonder why I ever agreed to be in this band. SM has always attracted more than its fair share of crazies. Going to one of our shows was not unlike attending a "Star Trek" convention. -envh

  • I'm sorry, but I don't believe that you are a band member from saviour machine.

  • Ha! I practically wrote this song, if anyone cares. It's just sad to me to see so much of this blind EC adulation... if you people only knew what he was really like.... Eric Clayton is not a prophet. He's really no more than a musical hack with a penchant for rehashing old bible stories. I'm sorry he has to deal with having cancer and all, but it turns my stomach to see the way he's constantly being put on a pedestal.

Also, I think it goes without saying that Obama is not the Antichrist.

  • I'm sorry that I didn't believe you at first, but you can't believe what hardly anyone says on the internet anymore. i agree, i don't think Obama is the antichrist. I am very sorry that you feel this way about someone, let alone your old band memeber, i'll pray for you and all the members everyday.

  • By wrote the song, I assume you mean musically, then. Because the main attraction of the band are the lyrics, for me. And if you don't believe in the prophetic, I guess it isn't strange to assume someone like Eric and those who like his lyrics to be a bit strange.

  • Your keyboards for SM are incredible... I also like the similarities of this song to "Legend II:II."

I also like the song, but have to laugh when people say that Eric is a Prophet or the whole thing about him "predicting" 9/11 in this song.

Even though prophet simply means messenger of God, the connotations attached to that word today don't not match what Eric is - A talented musician.

Those Eric Clayton worshipers would do well to read the lyrics of "Ascension Of Heroes."

  • Ohh Nathan Van Hala!

  • nice piano work nathan.

  • thanks, buddy! i flubbed a bit at 4:41, but hey, i'm only human. this was about 3 hours into the set, so i was probably running on fumes. this show actually went 3hr, 45 min. when it was over and we were finally loaded out, i proceeded to drink myself into a stupor, then 1 hour of sleep, then off to a studio for a full day of overdubs, then being whisked off the airport to fly home so i could be back at work the next day in a call center slaving away in insignificance once again.

  • Comment removed

  • that sounds more a grueling endurance marathon than a gig.

  • @envanhala...You played a christian show then left and drank yourself into a stupor? Wow, that makes me feel a bit sad and suckered into believing this musicaal endeavor was genuine...sighs....there is nothing to believe in anymore.

  • yeah, it certainly is great piano work - that's just what makes this song great musically, together with Eric's voice off course

  • @envanhala Wow someone's bitter :( It's a great song though so I'm sure everyone appreiciates your contributions :) I do certainly :)

  • Thank you for your work with Saviour Machine. SM remains one of my favorite bands - and I am thankful for each member and their contributions. Eric may be (or have been) the 'front man' - but the band is just as vital. Regardless of your relationship with him now, I appreciate your work with Saviour Machine. God bless

  • Eric... is a prophet...

America my very well be electing the anti-Christ into office tomorrow...

  • Jeff Godwin of Freedom Ministries claim to fame says that Erik Claytons very presence summons demons and the spirit of the Antichrist. Sorry Jeff but I just now realised after viewing this beautiful video that ive been a FOOL to believe you and waste all my money supporting your pathetic ministry. I know now what a false prophet really is and its not Erik Clayton.

  • is that in one of his videos on youtube, and if so, which one?

  • @godzilla323 True! :) Clayton has a gift, and it's lame that they are going to end the tours.

  • @jacobjedi2 They recently announced they are making 9 acoustic, full-length live shows with the old line-up in the Summer of 2011! See the official SM Facebook page, or just search on Youtube for "Saviour Machine Very Special Announcement"

  • @Hrugnir Yeah! I saw that on Facebook! If only I had enough cash to buy tickets, I'd go in a heartbeat. :(

  • @godzilla323 Imagine his pathetic imaginations.sick or what?Balaam sucks...

  • it is amazing to me that the people of other countries are so in tune to what is going on in the world! and america! That they care enough to try to warn us americans! and most americans don't want to know, they dont want their world tore apart. that they would rather live blind than live for the truth!

thank you to all of you other countries for caring for us more than we care for ourselves!

  • What did he write on the flag? Looked like something about 9/11

  • 9/11 -01

Connecting everything related to 9/11, Patriot Act etc with "when fascism comes as an angel of light" perhaps? I'm not sure.

  • The End Of The Age is drawing near. With every passing day the words of this beautiful reflect more clearly the decisions that we're gonna be called to make on a personal level, each and every one of us. Make sure you don't buy the words ppl will try to sell you... words like security, prosperity, world peace etc... all they will ever want is your total and absolute OBEDIENCE... and I guess you all suspect, who they work for (knowingly or not, it doesn't make a difference)

  • makes me cry when life feels hard.

  • Perhaps the best song in the world!!!

  • my word!
