1st, I've been sober for years and it's no struggle to me today. 2nd... I work 2 jobs. 3rd, I realize circumstances arise for some that have taken every precaution to stay healthy and prepared... I do feel like something needs to be done to help them, but as it has been, it's illegal for any doctor to deny anyone care so nobody is being denied their life. They just have different circumstances to accept and overcome. The answer isn't a government mandating that everyone buy healthcare.

If Obamacare was such a great cost-saving measure, then why did my annual premium ALREADY rise $2300 and why did my healthcare provider send me a letter blaming Obamacare for increasing the cost of insuring people to 26 years of age? Some people had better insurance than others, and some people had to go to free clinics, but nobody had to do without. There were all sorts of measures we could have tried such as Louisiana's model without resorting to socialized medicine. Rationing will equate to death panels when budget managers decide who is and who isn't worth saving.

While you're not in that sector of healthcare... you're in one that challenges the individual to work (themselves) to restore the function to the best they can post-trauma... but if we want to lower our healthcare costs, we need to regulate pharm, limit tort liability, and fix medicare fraud. Removing profit from medicine will inevitably result in lower-quality healthcare, and that's been proven by every country that's ever tried socialized medicine.

1st, I've been sober for years and it's no struggle to me today. 2nd... I work 2 jobs. 3rd, I realize circumstances arise for some that have taken every precaution to stay healthy and prepared... I do feel like something needs to be done to help them, but as it has been, it's illegal for any doctor to deny anyone care so nobody is being denied their life. They just have different circumstances to accept and overcome. The answer isn't a government mandating that everyone buy healthcare.

If Obamacare was such a great cost-saving measure, then why did my annual premium ALREADY rise $2300 and why did my healthcare provider send me a letter blaming Obamacare for increasing the cost of insuring people to 26 years of age? @yowowulu I certainly did not intend to insult you or your profession. I was simply trying to make the point that healthcare was always available. Some people had better insurance than others, and some people had to go to free clinics, but nobody had to do without. There were all sorts of measures we could have tried such as Louisiana's model without resorting to socialized medicine. Rationing will equate to death panels when budget managers decide who is and who isn't worth saving.

@yowowulu I am no longer in the health care profession because I was unwilling to commit insurance fraud, but it wasn't the insurance companies committing the fraud, it was the hospitals trying to squeeze out some extra cash.
Healthcare was not heartless nor was it fair, but you may have heard during the time you were growing up that life is not fair. We can't all be congresspersons and vote ourselves free healthcare for life. Healthcare was always available. I've gone to free clinics myself.

The fact that I don't know who that is, or what they claim to think is very disturbing, but from what I've seen so far, whoever that Leader is, is perfectly content for this group to spout garbage, as long as it is very disruptive and loud. I think the disruption is the intended purpose for the Teabaggers, not any particular political agenda (the agenda part is not being revealed to or left to the actual Teabaggers).

Compare with the numbers when Bush destroyed the economy in 2008 (when Bush left office economy was on the brink and Dow was around 8600).

I was busy working. No welfare check for me. I make a good salary.
The only welfare checks that went out recently that had the ability to really cripple the tax base were corporate welfare checks for Exxon, Haliburton and Boeing.
