I always hear people say to stop at tornado phase to wait for ICDs, but wouldn't that make you lose the rolling ignites you stacked up since after the second firestorm?

@llindvior You stop stacking ignite going into the burn phase anyway and let ignite fall off by casting arcane blast and refreshing living bomb, then you start rolling ignite when the boss takes +damage so that ignite is affected by it, and hence a much larger combust.

@luko1010 OMG so you mean the ignite that was rolling starting from air phase will not be increased by boss's +damage debuff during burn phase? If it's only arcane blast and living bomb, then we might as well just stop casting to let all internal cooldowns refresh?

@llindvior Correct, and many people do stop casting during tornadoes for internal cooldowns. Personally I like to just keep casting and then arcane blast and living bomb when the boss lands to let ignite fall off and then stack it up again, like is done in the video.

@luko1010 got 260k combustion ticks, and 353k ignite ticking at maximum, i missed the opportunity for 353k tick combustion, but i'm quite amazed how easy it is now with refreshing a new ignite. I don't spread combustion so I only got 100k dps, guildies are putting the log on WoLs soon :D.

Actually a dps loss to the boss, but it's pretty fun though to see the numbers, especially during farming when you don't have a big angry raidleader roaring about the raid dps or, more likely, that people always discover new ways to kill themselves.

What are your thoughts on Dark Intent on the fire mages? We've had this on farm for months but I've never been sure how large of a benefit DI would give the flying mage relative to our spriest.

@Yankefanatic317 For fire mages that fly, Dark Intent is more beneficial for mages than spriests. Even if the spriest flies, DI would still benefit the mage more due to a big combustion.
