I'm glad that at least this English drag queen is smart enough to say they landed at Plymouth and not "Plymouth rock", like most Americans outside New England say. The rock is just a stupid monument, you don't land a ship on a rock (unless you're the worst captain on earth)! I worked at an ice cream place in Plymouth all through high school and got incredibly sick of hearing tourists from Iowa bitch about the rock being small...sorry, you drove 1500 miles to see a fucking rock?!

This guy's hilarious and does speak a lot of truth but it's never going to be a replacement for hard focus and study. This quote shows how Izzard is fast and loose with history. If he had checked, he would have realized that, in deed, Plymouth, Massachusetts did exist on the map before the Pilgrims departed from their second, unexpected port of Plymouth, England. John Smith already had the region mapped out. It was TRULY a COINCIDENCE. But, since most people never bother to check out historical facts, they just trust the funniest guy in the room, I guess.
