Zerioku i agree not only with engies but assault they rarely revive while i go out of my way to pick up a assault kit when i'm not assault to revive people same for supports. Idiots suck at bf3.
I run smoke, proximity and guided missiles. Smoke gives you a vital help to avoid getting tagged by Javelins. Proximity gives away the presence of enemy infantry and is a huge help. Guided missiles because the one-two punch you get with it vs an enemy tank puts you in a huge advantage against any tank that doesnt have it. I play a lot of games with randoms, and that setup is the most flexible if you don't have a dedicated gunner to team up with.
What I do in tanks is... When I'm in one alone and the other guy gets out of his tank, I'll kill him, get out, and destroy my previous tank if no one comes to use it. That way it will spawn back at our base and I am keeping them from having another.
a tank at 8% health is safe to bail out .. but not before ... at 8% the health drops so fast at this point that the ennemy wont catch it in time to save it
but the rest are generally good tips for beginer tank gunner/driver
The only promblem to me when im tanking is c4 spawn somethimes i will kill the the c4 pesron that has planted c4 on me before he ignites the c4 but when they spawn back in they some how can ignite the c4 annoying :/
@apeacock74 well let me help you friend :) go around the tank locate the c4 remove it just like when you pick up enermy mines .. not that hard :) when the enermy spawn back in .. let him pull the trigger nothing will happend hopes this helped :)
One problem with bailing out, depending on how close the enemy is, an "empty" vehicle ALWAYS shows up as white on everyone in the games map/radar, signifying that it is indeed empty. If players pat attention to that fact, and thus know when an enemy bails out of their vehicle, it is much easier to steal. Also, to many players blow up enemy vehicles when they are clearly identifiable as empty on the minimap instead or repairing and giving their own team the advantage. Player IQ needs to go up.
@shahrukahn what you said is exactly the fuck im talking bout, I get pissed over and over bout this fact, 75% of battlefield 3 players are just stupid, at times im inside a tank and theres like 4 enginners of my team around me and im getting myself burst and they dont even bother to repair me and some people are SO LAME!! that dont repair the vehicle to 100% -.-¨¨
Thermal, Guided Missile, and Maintenance. I am a anit-armor driver, so taking out tanks is my specialty. My greatest tank kill streak is about 27 kills. I don't get why people use re-active armor though. Is there an experienced re-active armor user to tell me why they prefer it?
@SALEENS7GTR5 well lets look at it this way..if i hit you in the back with a rpg ..and my friends hit you in the side .. your maintenance will do nothing good for you .. but with re-active armor .. i can take a rpg in the back .. still turn my tank to the side and stil have armor left on both sides .. so it takes alot off rpg´s to take down a re-active armor tank
Mainenance is good if you get hit once .. then back away from the danger then comeback for another attack my 2cents :)
RED can you play bf3 with me this Friday at 4pm? I am level 40 and i really want tv missles on my attack heli. I have unlocked everything up until below radar. Please reply. my gamertag is SHOCKWAVE7656. Thank you!
I like the thermal optics a lot and usually have reactive armor and hmg. My tip would be whenever you're in a position where you're in a tank and you're fighting another tank just trading shots 10-30 feet away , shoot at their back and right after they shoot at you and they're reloading floor it! Usually you'll end up right behind them, have time to get your front towards them and have a clear shot at their back. Works for me anyways.
With 1000+ tank kills i have found Guided Missile - Smoke - Proximity Scan.
Me and my buddy shoots down so many helicopters with the guided missile + citv combo. Also it dissables a tank with a laserpainted guided missile hit. Its the best setup imo. Nice video btw
For me, the loadout depends almost entirely on the map. In the more urban maps where I'm only going up against one or two enemy armor (Tehran Highway, Seine Crossing, etc), I'll run with Canister Shell, Thermal Optics, and Proximity Scan as you'll find yourself having to battle more infantry in tighter spaces and this loadout best accomadates that type of engagement. In the bigger maps with more enemy armor, I'm always running Guided Missle, Zoom Optics, and Reactive Armor. Adapt to the map.
in areas with buildings some tanks may get first shot at you in this case run away they have you targeted and 1 shot in. best tip get behind a building and wait hope fully auto repair will activate. switch to 3person view and wait to see if the tank perused if he did now you have the advantage. unload shells once hes at yourgood line of site and his blind point.
At 5:50 he starts talking about not avoiding bailing out because the explosion of the tank will kill ya, yet as they are about to blow up the tank the guy jumps out and kills him....Totally contradicting the point he made earlier about staying in the tank until it blows up. Me I'd rather bail from the tank and avoid getting killed because it's all about the tickets.
If your using guided missiles and someone CITV's a target, does the guided missiles need to lock on as well or can you just fire the GM at the target? I can't seem to get the laser target/guided missiles to work for the scout chopper... Help is appreciated!
@jrainmaker19 For air units, the GM won't acquire the lock-on until after the target has been laser designated. However, for ground targets oftend the GM will lock on faster than the target is laser designated. You can still fire the GM, but if you wanted the added bonus of the laser designate you have to wait until the GM reacquires the target after it has been painted. It takes an extra second, but the damage bonus is well worth it.
What I hate is a gunners that jump in and start firing at planes, helicopters, and other tanks. Its a tank, the .50cal ain't gonna do shit but let him know where coming.
I have the CITV unlocked so sometimes will jump from Driver to 3rd seat to paint enemy aircraft, but what I can't figure out is will my guided missle need to lock on again or can I just launch it...?
other tank tips are, hop out and fire your rpg right after you have fired your tank shell, its a quick 1 2 combo which can quickly end a tank fight its also worth mentioning that the gunner should also be doing this, and once your gunner has the lock on 3rd seat its a good idea as a driver to carry a javlin, that way on open maps with alot of air support like oman you can sit in the open shooting down jets n choppers with ease as your gunner locks onto them.
@sassy2161 talking about all vehicles, every one is better besides chopper,Havoc is freakin flying tank lol, turning take ages, not mentioning speed, even if armor is better than viper, that sseceond will win almost every time
My set up zoom optics - can't see long range with thermal optics, proximity scan - to watch out for those C4 suicide scrubs, guided missile - if anyone gets in my third seat i can take out choppers and if there's an enemy tank, i fire my guided missile first, then follow up with a quick normal attack. Gets a free vehicle disable almost every time.
One tip of my own with reactive armour is to bait (show) the sides of your tank that still have reactive armour still present and then once the armour is destroyed switch to your front facing your enemy. Keep in mind I generally use this tactic for tank on tank fights and almost never with infantry. (ps reactive armour is represented as a double layer outline on the tank symbol in the same graphic as where you can see the direction your gunner is pointing)
2:53 HOLY FUCK #1 BF tip right there. honestly i got into a rush game on wake island and the defending team somewhere had our attackhelicopter. it eventually got shot down then with 30 tickets left in spawned up again and i saw how it happened, this guy must have gotten missile lock from the enemy AA tank and just bails out over their base. Heli glides down and they take it. just left the game
Does anyone notice a difference with the Main Battle Tanks of Battlefield 3? Do you guys say for example prefer using the M1 Abrams over the T90 or vice versa (other way around)? For whatever reason could be speed, preferred aiming reticle etc but please state your reason why replying.
@sassy2161 i always will choose T-90 over abrams,1st of all bcs of speed(i think its more vigorous than abrams,2nd, T-90 can take slightly more damage than other(just my opinion),3rd its reticle,4th is his power, lets say you want to climb on caspian border objective C fromriver side,T-90 does it with average speed of running man, abrams have speed of crawling noob and in no time you will be hit by some smaw in your ass or c4 in it :(
Yea I agree in some ways. I find that the American vehicles tend to have a higher top speed when the conditions are right but find that the Russian vehicles are overall more versatile over many conditions and have more torque meaning they can go up hills and what not with a little more kick to them. I also find for some reason the T90 can be turned a lot faster. Its also a little bit like that in Battlefield Play4Free
@shishirg96 sprint is the first squad perk you unlock mabey that is all he has as all equipping the same perk not a good idea as one will cancel the other Never double up on squad perks try your best to keep an eye on what others in your squad are running and adapt. Adapt to the situation in hand you don't have to run same class all the time mix it up it's more fun bring in what you need at the time if you go down following a tank battle but your three engineer squad mates survived and a few f
I agree Allways go down with the tank if you can't save it and top tip for drivers NEVER drive away when your getting repaired. There is nothing worse than lying on your belly repairing a friendly tank and as soon as they are above disabled they start moving and you get shelled only to see the tank you just keep alive get blown to No this guys be more aware of your team around you your tank needs to be fully repaired Before you can move after the initial disable so stay put let your team help y
Now with the CITV station, do you NEED the Guided Missles? Does it stay locked if you switch quick to the driver seat the shoot the guided, if you wind up alone?
red, why are you using SQUAD SPRINT for Engineer? Wouldn't it be... useful for everyone to use squad explosive for engineer so you get more rocket ammo, and your entire team?
In a tank on tank fight, the time to bail is when your health is below 25%, and you just took the last shot. But that's if you don't have reactive armor.
guys just a quick tip for Tank: if you have to escape the tank, you know you go out in the direction you're facing while gunning, so if you're alone in the tank, quick-swith to the machine gunner position, because it rotates faster, turn backward, and then escape. Then you wont escape the tank right in front of your ennemy; saves me a lot of tickets. cheers guys, and TRD, thanks for the good material, as usual ! When can we have a good ol' riffles review ?
