  • ...You know, now that I actually know the meaning of the song..I'm kind of scared to look at my monitor. Its like my computer is the one singing..And I'm an internet addict.

    I don't like living in 2011 anymore....=\

  • Holy shit. This is the first band I've ever listened to that contains messages in it.

This truly is the best band I've ever listened to :D

And I'm a metal head!..Well, I mean..Nevermore is Heavy Metal, but uh..I usually listen to Depressive Black Metal..

    Anyways..I love this song ^^

  • anyway, the message is pretty much the same as the lyrics of this song, maybe they even made this on purpose.

  • This happens fairly offen.. opeth also does it sometimes.. its a nice idea =P

  • beware windows 7 is the message he's trying to get across..

  • Come on people, If you know Nevermore you know this is not that far fetched, And the Idea that Technology will be the end of mankind is not new, In fact me and my cousin wrote a comic series that interpreted the story from Revelations into a Matrix like scenario where the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse where cyborgs and all that. Its called Creative Vision.

  • I don't get why he says 'seven' at the begining (or the end?)

Something to do with Sentient number '6' i reckon. Like his sucessor or something.

  • loads of dumb comments here lol

its not a random playback ffs ! its put on the song intentionally ! "im skeptical" wtf lmao

  • comon guy this is bulshit he is not saying this stuff, just try to read this backward lyiric backward and it will make no sense, even if you can read this in any normal posible way backwards >_>

  • @dijenek91 Actually, this is true, and intentional. The backmasked message fits in perfectly with the theme of the song. It's not in the parts with the singing; somewhere in the song, at around the 4:43 mark, there's some sort of interlude coupled with some sort of seemingly unintelligible noise, that is actually clearly created by playing an audio track backwards.

  • @dijenek91 Retard alert.

  • comon guy this is bulshit he is not saying this stuff, just try to read this backward lyiric backward and it will make no sense, even if you can read this in any normal posible way backwards >_>

  • Seven. Seven. Seven. I am the bringer of the end, fear me. I am the beast that is technology.

  • Seven, seven, seven, seven, seven, seven

I am the bringer of the end, fear me

I am the beast that is technology.

  • BRUTAL.

  • That's Warrel's voice of course it's intentional. You can clearly hear this reversed in the song.

  • at what point in the song is this?

  • About Nevermore being atheist... Jeff is a Christian just for the record.

  • @areuanerd Really?! I didn't know that.Where did you got that from?

  • @areuanerd wat

  • Guys, this is obviously intentional.

    Good song though

  • play this over and over in a mental hospital.

  • I think it fits the song, so it's possible that was intentional. Several musicians purposely add subliminal verses to songs.

Though, tell me. What portion of the song is this at when reversed? I'd like to check this myself.

  • @ShonenJump411

uhm about..... 4 minutes in? im not sure arouind there

  • It's at 4:43

  • @ShonenJump411:

It's not a subliminal message, these dont even exist.

And yes, it was done intentionally. These clearly spoken words can not have been created by coincidence.

  • Yeah. I apparently overlooked it all this time listening to the actual song. I guess Warrel's voice and Jeff's playing just sorta distracted me.

  • "Seven, seven, seven. I am the bringer of the end, fear me, I am the beast that is technology." that's what he says

  • holy shit

  • actually sounds quite creepy : /

  • That's some spooky shit.

  • Its obviously deliberate, it suits the song to a t.

  • what a fucking amazing song. out of the thousands of songs i have this one stands out so much

  • Comment removed

  • these lyrics bring so much controversy in the comments section well done nevermore

  • exactly man ;)

  • this part is around 4:44 within the song, right after he finishes the lyric "please teach me how to dream, i long to be more than a machine."

  • If you ask me, in both the oriinal and the reversed lyrics, he sounds fuckin evil.

  • I would like to hear the part played normally to hear what he says the have the reversed played right after to see what part of the song brings this....if this is all really on the album... and thought through to create what is said played reversed these guys are by far one of the greatest bands ever and ever will be... I already bow to this band and believe there will be nothing like them to come but if this is all real wow holy shit and jesus f@#$en christ "gods of metal"

  • seven

    seven

    seven

i am the bringer of the end, fear me, i am the beast that is technology

  • I am the bringer of the end, fear me, I am the beast that is technology.

  • I have to say I'm a bit skeptical...

  • Skeptical about what?

  • That is an epic echo. The only echo better than that was Pantera's singer saying "I'll cast a shadow..."

  • it sounds to me like he says :im the beast im the beast im the beast i am the bringer of the end hear me i am the beast that is technology

  • It could possibly mean that the machine has advanced to Sentient 7, like a computer update, because in the next part of the song, it talks about destroying humanity.

  • Well, it's the best theory so far. Do you have a better one?

  • yes, or just visit the nevermore decoded page and they explain all of their music... Sentient 6 is the title of him, like his name.

  • My friend thats a good explanation, but i think that he says 777 as an opposition to 666, for the new religion which is technology.

  • well the thing about that idea is that 777 represents god. those are in a sense the numbers of heaven. so i think yyzny gots a point. but i see where u is comin from

  • why is he saying seven seven seven in the beginning

isnt that like the number of god

dude i dont like how they bring down god like that cuz im christian but why does "technology" say 777?

  • Maybe they're not bashing "God" or the idea of him. But that in this day and age, that's what people worship is technology therefore making it their God in an indirect way. I could be wrong, it doesn't really matter because Nevermore's music pwns no matter what.

  • well nevermore are atheist however this song was as you said how people rely to much on technology and eventually it will destroy them

  • @yyzny21688 It's saying that God doesn't exist but humans cling to the idea for moral comfort. A machine would not understand something like that. It wouldn't fool itself to be happy, and therefore sees humans at first as superior because they understand the concept, and then grows angry with humanity after identifying their weaknesses. I'm a bit late to reply, but whatever.

  • What is he repeating in the beginning?

  • I believe that he said "Seven Seven Seven, I am the bringer of the end, fear me. I am the beast that is technology"

  • I'm watching a stargate sg-1 episode about an alien race who're advance enough to exist in technology alone and invades someone's mind and uses it as a new memory storage system, then i come on youtube and was recommended this video - watched it after having listened to Sentient 6 a few hours ago.. what a coincidence....

  • omg...is this really backwards??

    he said it perfect..

  • No, the original part of the song is backwards.

  • i think it was 'fear me' not 'kill me'

  • ygolonhcet si taht tsaeb eht ma I. em lliK! dne eht fo regnirb eht ma I

  • I'm the bringer of the end. Kill me. I'm the beast that is technology.

  • its true, you can rip the song into mp3 and convert it to wave file, then use windows audio recorder and hit play back. i dont know what is it for but its there

  • holy crap is that for real? thats amazing, thats basically what this song is about. damn thats cool.

  • I am the bringer of the end, hear me, I am the beast that is technology?

Anyways thanks a lot. Really helped.

  • I think it's "fear me".

  • @henkzawd Yeah, sounds like "fear me".
