  • damn those were some sick clearances

  • great Job Kirk!! You beat my brothers record at LHS. My brother is Brad. You know who he is. Great Job.

  • kirk i remember you blowing the shit out of that thing hah. i know you're flying over 16' at USF, i'm looking forward to jumping with you next year bro.

  • he easily jumped 17 feet if only he had a bigger pole I was in that exact same situation at my league meet

  • florida

  • what state is this for?

  • good vault, the last ones looked like u overpowered the pole a lil bit, so moving up a pole would be good.

wuts the name of the song?

  • typical by mutemath. and yea it was the pole and his vert. but he was blowing through his standards and they were already buried

  • That is great vaulting man. Im in the same boat you are in with the whole coach thing. I'm a sophomore this year, and my pr was 13'. I'm trying to train through the summer so I guess we'll see how well I do by senior year. It would be great to jump as high as you!

  • as you know you blew out your pole on the 16 ft attempts did you have a bigger one to use!!!!!! Nice job good luck in college

  • I agree, if you moved up a pole, 16ft would have been a breeze

  • i completely disagree... his hips weren't lined up with the pole, so he got shot outwards... his vert wasn't vertical enough... you can tell thats the case because the pole ends up stalling out at the comlpete vertical (or near-vert).. so it was the right test weight for him... he just needed to drop his upper body backwards and ride the pole strait up and down for longer..

  • you do realize that part of that has to do with the fact that he blew through that pole, right?? look at the vid and it's very easy to tell, regardless, that he blew through that pole. going up just 5-10 pounds in rating woulda been fine.

  • he blew his pole on every jump in the video, the only reason his pole stalls towards verticle is he purposefully throws it. His standards look burried and his penetration is really deep. He does need to drop back further and try for a more verticle jump, but it was clear he needed a 10 lb higher test pole and he would have cleared 16'.
