This is a good tune but nothing compared to Jumping Jack Flash, Gimme Shelter. Sympathy for the Devil, Midnight Rambler, Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo Heartbreaker or other tunes live. Or some Beatles live stuff. Acting like drunken louts a lot of the time meant Oasis never achieved the status those other bands did because of that. Liam isn't r&r like K.Richards is

pretty awesome i'm actually surprised they performed it late as 2002. the version from commodore ballroom vancouver 1995 is the best i've ever heard though, and if you think this is powerful, you should check THAT out. I don't know what it is about that gig i think both the amp noel was using like the sound of the guitars, and then the fact that it's just a great soundboard recording too. almost every song they do is one of the best versions i've heard.

Is it me or does Alan White really struggle with this type of beat? It's so much easier to use your right hand to hit the snare between your legs than having another snare on your left hand side using your left hand. I saw another video with him playing this song and he really looked like he was having trouble. I dunno maybe I'm wrong it just seems that way.

I don't think he's having trouble. The high hat part on this song has always been intentionally "loose" and the snare on his left is tuned differently, so he must just prefer the sound of that snare for this song. I could be wrong, but that's my opinion as a drummer. Any vids on here of Zak Starkey playing this song?

Liam's 'effect'? Yeah, it's called packs of cigs, alcohol and strain on his cords...this sounds MINT! He may not have sacrificed his vocal cords for his TRUE fans but, he definitely made us ALL proud. And, by far, this has always been the best--for me--Noel guitar work. On their "D.M" dvd, they stated they (producers) even cut a bunch of the intro out of the original recording because it sounded like it came from Slash's guitar. Either way, Noel and Liam will LIVE FOREVER!
