Well, I start out in the lobby for an easy elevator, or in the car for high security or skyscraper buildings, I set the camera into video mode, press the shutter button, and then say the location of the building. From there I show the car station and floor indicator during the up trip, a view of the doors & lobby at the mid-point, and then the cab when going down.
The Braille plates are made by Stencil Cutting & Supply Company, which also provides the Braille/Signage for Otis, ThyssenKrupp, and Kone Elevators. The car station plates are CC2 square plates, and the jamb plates are EJ3 rectangular stamped plates.
It's unfriendly to the eniviroment because of hydraulic oil, high energy usage and possible safety concern if the oil leak or low oil (as seen on one of my video I've experienced at kop west deck garage over safety concern of hydraulic elevator)
I don't know why, but maybe they should have gone with a 200 FPM 400A MRL elevator, and that would probably have been more reliable and economical. But one has to live with what they've got.
It is so quiet outside.

Yes, because this was filmed in the morning, so there was no one there.
CaptainElevator42189 5 months ago
Yes, when they could have gone with roped hydraulic or machine roomless traction.

Interesting choice using an inground...

Can you explain to me how you do your videos?

Speaking of brailles, I got 6 elevator car station brailles today.
elevatorsonly 3 years ago
Maybe you can show them, since what do they look like?
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Who makes the Braille plates on this elevator?
doverelevatorrules 3 years ago
Interesting.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
One of EscalatorGeek881's videos with a similarm elevator has a different floor indicator tone.
doverelevatorrules 3 years ago
Yes, it has a travel distance of 60 feet.

These elevators are inground hydraulic, and the machine rooms are located behind the elevators.

And Is It Machine Roomless And Is It Holess
FanManLover 3 years ago
Cool Did You Make The Video Of The Elevator Yet
FanManLover 3 years ago
Unfortunately, it's hydraulic.

Is It Machine Roomless
FanManLover 3 years ago
There's the external bell in the hall lantern, and the internal bell in the car station. But if it has a car lantern, then it sounds only once.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Why does the bell sound twice even though it's going up?
ElevatorMan2012 3 years ago
Anyway there are still two different chimes, both standard, for both directions.
bearchoirfan 3 years ago
Yes, and that's typical of Schindler HT fixtures.

Yes, but some older hydraulic elevators went up to 8 floors. However, I think machine roomless would have been a better choice.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
This guy is stubborn. A Schindler hydraulic will only go up to this many floors.
Baytrail 3 years ago
Yes, but I also like the quiet sound of the 400A machine roomless elevator, of which I think they should have gone with.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
I love that sound
harrihealey02 3 years ago
Yes, I agree with you on all of this, but I guess the garage/complex owner has no respect for the environment with these hydraulic elevators.

Slow elevator. Why couldn't they just place in a Traction like they did at the Lexington Medical Center PG2
escalatorgeek881 3 years ago 3
Yes, I agree.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
they should have put a traction in.
